  1. Simon! Nice to agree with you! 😉 Jags are playing with house money now. I think 2/3 of games the Jags get boat raced due to lack of top end talent. But Pederson is a very good coach. This year's Jags did not have as terrible a first half before. They also never had such an offensive explosion as they did in the second half. Certainly, the Jags are underdogs to the Chiefs. Yes once again the Chiefs seem to have an easy path to the SB other than the AFC Championship game. I just think this year's playoffs will be a bit odd. Hoping that does not play into our game. Bills should boat race the Dolphins, but you never know....
  2. Pederson knows Reid inside out. He was the backup and starter QB for Reid during McNabb's rookie season. He also won a Super Bowl as HC with Nick Foles and Carson Wentz as QB. Let that sink in. Jags came on tough in the second half of the season. Lawrence is a very good QB that makes Zay Jones look like a legitimate NFL WR. The last NFL QB to make Zay Jones look like an NFL WR was Josh Allen. Don't sleep on the Jags. They are missing top end talent, but coaching and QB play are there. You never know. The Chiefs lost to the Colts. The Jags won't go away quietly.
  3. I feel like Jackson will return to Baltimore. Carr should go to the NFC, where he could make some noise. I fear he will end up on a team like the Jets, where his steady hand will help that franchise out to win now.
  4. Thank you. A lot of people felt the replacement of Hill with Schuster and MVS as WR was foolish. JuJu SS dropped in production because Big Ben could no longer hit him deep. JJSS is still a deep threat. MVS is an established NFL WR3. KC did not get scrubs to replace Hill. They got 2 established weapons for less than the cost of one. Smart GM. Hill is a unique WR who helped make Tua look like a legit QB1. What would Hill or Waddle do with Mahomes/ Allen/ Burrow/ Lawrence/ Herbert etc?
  5. Sleeping on Lawrence is silly. The Jags lack speed to be quick striking. Lawrence did exactly what he needed to, within his own offense to get the job done. Allen and Lawrence have played in the same number of Super Bowls, 0. Lawrence controlled a game that could have gotten away from him. Kirk/ Z Jones/ M Jones/ Engram are not exactly a quick strike offense. Yet those guys erased a 27 point difference. It is ok to admit other players in the league do amazing things, and other coaches rally their teams without disliking your own team.
  6. This is an apples and oranges comparison. I am enjoying the AFC QB bonanza because we have one of the top 5. Allen was a physical freak, but raw and needed development. He also landed on a team with a defensive head coach. He became Josh Allen. Lawrence was considered pro-ready day 1. He landed with one of the worst HC ever in his rookie year and it showed. With a former NFL QB as coach he started to show being an excellent NFL QB in the second half of his second season. Now this. Amazing! Not sure Allen has had a half of football as bad as Lawrence had today. It was Peterman bad. This is why you are getting grief. Fans can point to halves of games where Allen and Lawrence helped put up 30 points. I've been on the 'Jags are dangerous' beat for a while. Plenty of posts where I said 'Jags are coming' or such. There are literally half a dozen very good to great young QBs in the league. They just happen to be in the AFC. We are happy to finally have one of them. Look at the stretch of QBs from Kelly to Allen. It should be easy to understand the homerism. Pats fans keep thinking the next QB will be Brady, they won't. Also as Bills fans we have seen a comeback like this, in the playoffs, from our back up QB (Reich vs Oilers). Still great to see. Mahomes and Burrow have led their teams to Super Bowls. I put Allen in the top 3 of AFC QBs. I think there are fair reasons to go Mahomes and even Burrow at or above Allen. But I like my guy. Allen does things those guys can't. Mahomes and Burrow have gone to the Super Bowl, Allen hasn't. Lawrence, Herbert and Jackson are a tier below IMO. Still a loaded conference of terrific QBs. One of those QBs will rise to Mahomes/Burrow/Allen level soon. My bet would be Lawrence too. Will be tough sledding in the AFC for a long time. Tua/ Wilson/ Jones won't get it done vs Mahomes/ Burrow/ Allen/ Lawrence. Yeah Lawrence just elevated a level. Maybe not Mahomes/Burrows/Allen level yet, but he is knocking on the door and just passed Herbert and Jackson.
  7. Fair enough. I just recall a lot of very bad 'analytic' decisions last year. The Chargers lost 2-3 games on those last year alone. Then the Raider disaster. This year was a lot better in those situations. But he just has 0 knack for understanding the flow of the game. Pederson is the polar opposite. It took McDermott a while to get more aggressive. Staley needed to learn to be less aggressive. Staley would benefit from being a DC for a while then trying again. The Chargers are loaded with talent, but they underperform. That points to coaching IMO.
  8. Staley is a dufus . Many of his 'analytic calls' blew up in his face last year costing his team games. Against the Raiders in OT all he had to do was take the 'gentleman's agreement' to end the game in a tie, and both the Chargers and Raiders would have gone to the playoffs. Nope, he had to go for the win and the Raiders made him pay for it. Raiders in the playoffs and Chargers at home. Now add this debacle. Staley is completely situational unaware and a total dufus as a HC.
  9. Free money in the playoffs is dangerous. Pederson knows Reid inside and out. He started at QB for the first half of McNabb's rookie season under Reid. Between Pederson and McDermott, the roosters are coming home to roost
  10. It's the Charger uniform for me. And the fact both are excellent regular season QBs, but choke in the playoffs. At least Rivers got upset when he lost in the playoffs. Herbert is like a mannequin.
  11. If anyone knows Andy Reid it is Doug Pederson. Pederson was Reid's backup QB in Philly when McNabb was drafted. Reid may have to face 2 of his protege/ lineage in the playoffs (Pederson and McDermott) The tree grows stronger
  12. Lawrence was Peterman in the first half. 4 INT, Jags down 27-0 Truly epic Charger meltdown. Jags won.
  13. Vegas has Nostradamus in the fold Lawrence just transformed from Peterman to Reich in one half
  14. OMG LOL Chargers just erased 13 seconds as epic playoff meltdowns....
  15. Never ever want your team to Charger it. The Vikings, Chargers and Bills have some epic melt downs, but the Chargers are the masters of the art.
