Any word yet on why only 6 snaps? Down from 20 and then 27 down to 6. Seems like a very odd ramp up... Just saw this. Both the limp after the rush, but even in his rush you can see he down not have the same body movement. Very upright and not bending at all. Also that was the last drive of the 2nd half and was at least 3 of his 6 snaps. So even without that injury his snaps were way down.

What do people want? We just brought in Ty Johnson and his kick returns almost helped us beat the 1-5 Pats.

This is not the process. He is not a team guy. They will pay for this later. Those lost draft picks will bite them later. Uhhhhh...what else can I say to excuse our teams unwillingness to do anything.

Josh’s stats so far - the Ken Dorsey Offense
ngbills replied to Roundybout's topic in The Stadium Wall
My guess on EPA stats. Its these long drives that boost EPA. Getting first downs and long drives help boost the EPA. But I would argue that is not the Bills. They are trying to be the grind it out 10 minute drive team and is efficient getting 8 first downs on a drive. Look at the past few years and games the offense was clicking. Those are more of the 3 minute drive variety not 5+. -

MIA and LAV he played lights out. The rest have been bad to blah. WASH game we only had 16 points going into the 4th. No need to bring up the NYJ, JAX, NYG, NE games other than point out the O was not good enough, especially early in the last 3 (10 points total in those 1st half. Actually only 17 in the first 3 qtrs of all three- that makes 42 of our last 59 points all in the 4th quarter. You can spin it as at least they dont quit or that Bills were in do or die mode vs teams holding leads. -

Take out the LAV and MIA game and it gets worse. 122-184 (66%) completions 1247 passing yards (249 per game) 8 TD 7 INT 22 rushes for 124 yards (25 per game) Is that who Josh Allen is? A 66% completion guy with 250 yds, 1TD/I Int and 25 rushing yards per game? -

Pick group 1 or group 2: Group 1: 297 passing yards (7th), 56 rushing yards (2nd) 317 passing yards (6th), 10 rushing yards (12th) 400 passing yards (2nd), 47 rushing yards (4th) 213 passing yards (12th), 70 rushing yards (1st) 424 passing yards (1st), 42 rushing yards (6th) 329 passing yards (4th), 32 rushing yards (8th) 218 passing yards (11th tied), 49 rushing yards (3rd) Group 2 236 passing yards (10th), 36 rushing yards (7th) 274 passing yards (8th), 7 rushing yards (13th) 218 passing yards (11th tied), 46 rushing yards (5th) 320 passing yards (5th), 17 rushing yards (9th tied) 359 passing yards (3rd), 14 rushing yards (10th) 169 passing yards (13th), 11 rushing yards (11th) 265 passing yards (9th), 17 rushing yards (9th tied) Group 1 has 5 of the top 7 passing yards and 5 of the top 6 rushing yards. But Allen is having a better year because he is completely more 1 yard dump offs. Ok. -
Devils advocate...what is Josh is the problem?
ngbills replied to Hebert19's topic in The Stadium Wall
I said this in another thread. If you compare KC v BUF - the Chiefs have the confidence to play how they want. Throw it 100 straight times, run it 100 straight times, who cares. They dont give a rats how they score. The Bills with Dorsey are like the smart kid who thinks he can figure stuff out and is always trying to impress others. Lets show we can establish the run, lets show we can throw to 17 different guys, lets get this guy involved, the book says you need this, always thinking about something and not just doing what you do best. -

Josh’s stats so far - the Ken Dorsey Offense

We have had bad OL's in the past. They are not adjusting to either quicker routes, hot reads or Allen runs/stepping up in the pocket. Right now Allen is holding on to the ball, scrambling to the side vs stepping up, and slinging it. -
Need to analyze this for a fact check. But it seems that Kincaid does better vs the zone. Does not seem like many of his catches are coming with man coverage.

Did Dorien Williams get benched yesterday?
ngbills replied to John from Riverside's topic in The Stadium Wall
I think the double whammy is Bernard needs help next to him. He is not meant to be your best LB but has shown to be solid as a supporting cast member. The last few games have not been great. -

The early season story of wow our LB's are better is quickly turning into a huge weakness. -
Ndamukong Suh would like to play this season - Any interest?

I have been one of the louder voices in taking issues with both the resources the Bills have given Allen and the play-calling/game plans. But I am not so naïve to ignore that Josh does not also have issues. For some reason he is not seeing the field or making decisions (passing or running) fast enough. He seems to be processing slowly unless its the quick horizontal pass. He is bailing from the pocket and not making quick reads on blitzes. He is not stepping up in the pocket but bailing out in pressure. He definitely is not taking running yards as much, whether his chose or not. Does another threat make it easier for Josh? I think its worth a shot. Add a player D's need to pay extra attention to and that is less on Allen and Diggs.

A trade is the only way to save the season

I do wish the all22 with access to Dorsey's brain was available to inspect. On the screen there seems to be so many plays with guys running circle routes, 1 guy running a route and the other guys standing around, guys in the same spot, the majority of big plays are backyard type broken plays a guy gets open. -
Watching the Chiefs game. Bills no where near them.
ngbills replied to I'm Spartacus's topic in The Stadium Wall
Chiefs O plays to score. They dont care how they do it. If its throwing for 300 yards and no rushes that is what they will do. The Bills are looking for an identity, looking to meet some metric, forcing balance. It feels like the pro who does not care how it gets done in KC, vs the amateur reading a users manual about how to score in BUF. The goal should be to get TD's, not we established this or that, checked this box, etc. You have to adapt and do whatever is needed to score. The Bills are completely scripted and refuse to budge until its desperation time. -
This is the season: Week 17 vs MIA But to get there we need to survive PHI, KC, DAL. LAC. There are some other tough games but those 4 will likely be the season. We blow that stretch and week 17 will be MIA resting guys for a playoff game in meaningless game vs the eliminated Bills. Eagles are 6-1 Who cares about DAL but they are 4-2 KC is 6-1 and basically has the division one since the rest of the division already has 4 and 5 losses. MIA is in first at 5-2 and remember they are not a threat with Tua at QB. CIN has been putrid with their starting QB hurt and has the same # of losses as us.

Allen in April: "I know this sounds crazy, but I'm getting older," Allen said. "It's like I can't continue to do this. I know when I'm using my youth I feel like I can, but over the course of my career, I'm going to have to learn to adapt and change. And I've always had the mindset of I've been a football player first and a quarterback second, and at some point that's going to have to switch. When that point is I don't know, I guess I'll let my body tell me." Allen Offseason: Lots of golf. Some vacations. Some drinking. Most likely a bit less football and training.

Three losses through 7 games in the easy part of our schedule? Not an overreaction.
-
The easy take is the O did enough to win. But you were not watching the game if that is what you really think. The O did nothing until the final minutes of the game. It would have been a completely different game if O had done anything the first 3 quarters. NE doesn't fumble the ball away the O may not have even had a chance to get the go ahead score. They were asleep, then got a desperation drive TD and got the lucky fumble. Would have been nice if the D could have held on for the win. But the O is more to blame than the D here.

If they dont want to play to Allen's strengths then they should just move on from him. I am sure many teams would take him off our hands. -
WR2 or a dominant pass catching RB. If this O cant get it right we are done. The D will be fine if the O can stay on the field. The short drives are killing this D and wearing it down.

Part of the problem is what I debated with many before the season. Harty and Sherfield are not upgrades. They are both just JAG's. Neither has done enough in the league over ~5 years that should make anyone think they are better than guys of the like McK, Crowder, Sanders, Brown, Beasley, etc. Yet people hyped them up and said we have one of the best WR rooms in the league. Davis is not a #2. He is a one trick pony and a boom or bust guy. How many 1 catch games do we need to admit this. We needed to get one of the better WR's available and chose to pass. Kincaid is going to take time. We saw some flashes finally last game. But many expected Kelce from game 1. I heard how he was essentially un-guardable and had such a unique skillset that he would dominate. The issue remains. Outside of Diggs we have nobody that scares anyone. Well there is one thing and that is Josh Allen's legs. But we have even removed that element from the equation.

My fear with Allen is that he has come to think that life is more than football. He is thinking about life after football. He is thinking about Monday through Saturday. Football is now just a paycheck. He has a to of $, has already overachieved, has his Hollywood girlfriend.
