  1. This makes a ton of sense. Good work.
  2. Any twitter heads have any updates here? Is it a foregone conclusion he signs?
  3. That is also possible. I do think it is possible that NFL people don't like some of these QB prospects as much as we do. Maybe we can can get Rosen with a trade up to 6 or 7? who knows?
  4. I think they want Allen. I think Darnold is going 1, Rosen is going 2, Allen 3, and Mayfield 5. The question for me is, who is actually going to take Rosen at 2?
  5. Jarius Wright released from the Vikings basically gives you what Deonte Thompson does. Another option
  6. This regime is not going to draft a quarterback, just to take one. If Rudolph is there in the third, he is worth a pick. I still like the upside of a guy like Lauletta or even White more than Rudolph. If we stay it's going to be Smith or Edmunds. I don't think Nelson is there.
  7. He doesn't have near the athletic ability of EJ. Rudolph is more like a Christian Ponder, Bryce Petty type with very little upside. Drafting him is spinning wheels and a waste of a pick. Not significantly better than McCarron or Peterman. Waste. I never say stuff like this, but honestly, I'm with you here.
  8. He can't be. If he is, the front office is incompetent. And they have shown that they are not incompetent.
  9. That's what teams do. They say that they are willing to trade down at a limit. They want Chubb. They can get him at 6 but not at 12. It happens all of the time.
  10. This idea makes sense if you can get to seven, then jump to 2. Giants can still get Nelson at 7. Tampa was probably hoping Chubb fell to them if the Colts traded back. Now that the Colts are at six, Tampa isn't getting Chubb. They could trade down to 12 and get Davenport.
  11. The consensus seems to be that the Colts were not willing to fall down to 12 no matter what.
  12. Seriously...where did that guy get his info lol
  13. I think it does make sense to trade down with #22. It is a good idea if we can't trade up. I want Darnold, Rosen, or Allen. Anybody outside of them aren't big time prospects in my mind. I know some people like Mayfield. I don't. Jackson has huge potential. Rudolph is teh same level prospect as Nate Peterman imo. Next year's class doesn't look great right now. Drew Lock from Mizzou is probably 1, Clayton Thorson from Northwestern and Jarrett Stidham from Auburn is probably the other guy. A lot of people like Shea Patterson of Michigan who transferred from Ole Miss. I like Lock a lot, but not 100% on the others. I prefer Rosen and Darnold to anybody next year.
  14. well it is intelligent conversation amongst some
  15. Good post and well thought out. The NY media would kill the Giants if they traded down with the Jets. Either we or someone like the Broncos have a deal in place with them or they are staying put.
  16. I think you only take that guy if he is significantly better than Peterman or McCarron. I don't think a guy like Rudolph is. I could see the upside of Jackson though.
  17. It would be so Jets if they are trading up for Barkley or Chubb.
  18. That's why I think a trade up with Tampa makes a ton of sense. They can't get Chubb now with Indy dropping to 6. Get to 7, then make it happen and the Giants can still draft Nelson.
  19. I think they like Allen as well. He is similar to Hackenberg. The funny thing is they epically failed at developing Hackenberg. Bowles and McCagnnan will be fired before Allen ever plays a down. I still think we want Darnold or Rosen.
  20. Don't do it. If you can't trade up in to the top 3, wait till next year. McCarron is essentially Andy Dalton imo and is better than anyone outside the top 3 in the draft.
  21. I think we can attempt to go ahead and trade up with Tampa, then jump up to 2 from 7. Now that Tamp knows there is no way they get Chubb, they may be willing to trade out. Tampa may have been waiting to see if INDy traded out to 12. If that were the case, they would have had a good shot at Chubb. Now they have no shot. You could try to get from 12-7, then up to 2. Who knows? I think Beane has a plan, now the market is set. Now we will see what he does from here.
