  1. He didnt get the strip but as soon as it happened I said to the guy I watch the games with (who knows twice as much as me) that is exactly how you do it. Go for the tomahawk but simultaneously make sure you wrap him up. Great play by Scam to hold on.
  2. Yeah he had some real good games and individual plays. I dont ever remember the Ralph louder than when he had the pick six in the Dallas MNF game. But overall he was a guy who did everything okay and nothing great.
  3. George Wilson was a great guy, great teammate, very mediocre safety.
  4. Not a bad way to get to 2-14 and one of the top two picks.
  5. Since we are not going to be bad enough to get Rosen or Darnold, and since even those guys are 50-50 (remember the great 83 class had three studs and three duds, although Ken O'Brien was okay), I say we use our two number ones to draft two of these guys and let them fight it out over the next couple years. One will be the starter and the other the backup. It's impossible for anyone on the planet to KNOW beforehand who is going to hit or miss with any degree of consistency. Get two of the top seven or eight, so maybe we end up with something like Mayfield and Jackson or Rudolph and Allen.
  6. He ran a ton of rollouts and naked bootlegs the whole season. I liked him because I was an ASU fan so I watched him a lot. He wasn't good for a good portion of his career but when used right he was very effective. I predicted we would run that offense on here before the season started and we just haven't seen it at all. I have no idea why. Sure, you want him to be a drop back passer, too, and you're right, you cannot win without it. But you're also negating his strengths and allowing the defense a much, much easier time defending him. Dennison was the OL coach in that 2005 season they went 13-3 and became OC the next year. But that is the offense he was weaned on, the MIke Shanahan offense. Kubiak was Shanahan's protege and Dennison was Kubiak's. It's all versions of that same offense. My mistake though. They were 7th in points and 5th in yards. 2004 they were 9th in points and 5th in yards. Very good offense though.
  7. The Broncos did it with Plummer. Dennison was a coach. They went 13-3 and were third in offense. Thats the offense I thought we would run and we havent seen it at all.
  8. This 80 year old man walks into a church and into the confessional and says, "Bless me Father for I have sinned... I was just standing on this street corner and this beautiful young 21 year old blond girl with big boobs and a little bottom walked up to me looking for directions, and immediately we started talking, and just hit it off, you know, and before you knew it we were in a hotel room and both of us were naked and we made wild, passionate, exotic, aberrant sex for hours. Things I have never done or seen in my life." The Priest says, "How long has it been since your last confession?" The old man says, "Well, this would be my first." The Priest says, "You're 80 years old and you have never confessed?" The old man says, "Well, no, I am Jewish." The Priest says, "Then why are you telling me this?" The old man says, "I'm telling everybody!!!"
  9. In the real world reality, in preseason, Peterman did not make one throw that shows he can make all the throws. Name one.
  10. Did you notice how every picture of him was flat? Not a circular or spherical one in the lot. Even the round one was flat. Coincidence??
  11. Hopefully she bobs, too.
  12. 99% of games can't be. This one was. It was virtually the last play. He makes it we win. I would totally think the opposite if this were a minute to play.
  13. Not really sure the logic on that one, when if we make the play we win. So that was the reason we lost. Not the only reason but I never understand when anyone says, say, after missing a 40 yard FG on the game's last play that it wasn't the reason we lost. Of course it was. By definition. So was this. We make that play and we win. Doesn't mean we deserved the win or didn't escape with the win. But it's a win with the play, so how can it not be the reason we lost?
  14. He's catching 100% of his targets? I dunno, maybe it's me, but 100% sounds kinda good. Like a trend. You might wanna try that idea a little more.
  15. Thanks. I think that is exactly right. I think it was a good pass overall. Makes no sense to run to OB.
  16. The team was ordered to throw three Hail Marys in the next game and all if forgotten and forgiven.
  17. Click on the pick or however you enlarge it. The point of the ball hits precisely where his palm ends and his fingers begin. That is called your hand, not your fingertips.
  18. That's after the ball hits as it's turned sideways. Clearly not just his fingertips.
  19. Are you giving jsp the thumbs up because he is glaringly wrong again? Beane wasnt there when they signed Poyer. McD was, Beane no.
  20. Even with the stumble if he went to the pylon he wouldnt have had to leap.
  21. It makes zero sense, none, seeing no one is behind him, to run a pattern that takes you OB at the four yard line with 20 seconds to go. None. Donald Jones was exactly right. And he should know, being an NFL WR and all. He ran a bad pattern and he tripped himself, which caused him to dive. Otherwise he walks in with an easy TD and the win.
  22. Yep. I think all plays have to be taken individually. Like I didnt think Zay had to catch that ball because he got two mitts on it. It would have been a great catch but wasn't a "drop." I usually think if they get two hands on it they should catch it but not always. I thought the Clay pass in week one was a drop (as well as not a good pass).
  23. There are a lot of fans, although I am not one of them, who think if a NFL WR gets two clean full hands on any ball, they should catch it no matter what, and Zay had both his hands on the ball.
