  1. I heard Nix say it and immediately remembered Thurman saying it earlier this week
  2. http://espn.go.com/blog/afceast/post/_/id/...heimer-to-bills The line that caught my attention was from AJ Smith "Buddy got along well with Schottenheimer. They socialized together, went out to dinner, golfed together, sat together on the plane, talked football all the time." If I'm not mistaken, Thurman seemed to point out on his show this week that you needed a close relationship between coach and GM. I'm betting this is the relationship he was thinking about

  5. emphasizes coaches as teachers and says: "we oughta be gettin better"
  6. this is in no way my endorsement, but he sounds like he could be a great head coach http://www.azcentral.com/sports/cardinals/...ards-grimm.html
  7. Saw the banner but couldn't stay. Looked like you all were having a great time!
  8. The first place I heard about this was via Kawika Mitchell and his Twitter account @Ka_Mitchell55 A teammate of ours had his house vandalized last nite or this morn. Its def not a game to b playin. W/ all the safety issues n the NFL... ...its not funny at all. We have Fam at our homes to protect. If u show ur face on my prop Ill make sure I do everythin to keep my... ...Fam safe. So dont come around thinkin, oh we'll just leave a message on his lawn or wall, b/c Im goin to take it as a threat. Its my... ...job to protect my home as it is the job of all home owners. Dont push the limit.
  9. Well, I might as well post in this thread as well
  10. Holy crap what sentence structure. Is English your native language? Do you think that you are E. E. Cummings?
  11. Welcome to my world. The author's writing was advanced in comparison to the drivel I usually get to read on a daily basis. This current generation of students is unable to communicate via the written word. I would say, however, that the author of this piece does not speak English as his first language.
  12. I've played for the last three years. Winters in Buffalo suck when you're not an winter sports guy and I can only go to the gym for so long.
  13. I would like to nominate the above post for "post of the year"
  14. So we pull in to the stadium and pass by Marv. He waves, it's Marv. However, upon announcing 50 year team Marv doesn't come out. Is he in the war room? Draw your own conclusions.
  15. I made sure to show the video to my wife. Next to this guy I'm like a porn star
  16. I haven't purchased Madden in the last few years because I have no desire to play any team other than the Bills and the Bills have been "not so good". However, a purchase this August could be in the making.
  17. I just think it's cool that a NFL player does what I'm guessing a number of Bills fans have done in the last few days. That is break out the Madden and see what happens when you put TO on the other side of LE.
  18. Wow, a reply that demonstrates both a quick wit and masterful command of the English language. I'm very impressed.
  19. I realize a number of you could give a but Donte Whitner has posted some Videos to his FB page which are interesting. In one of them he has some furniture repair guys at his house fixing his bed and he challenged them to a game of Madden. What I think is great is that Donte plays the Bills and has already put TO on his team. How many of you have already done the same on Madden?
  20. douche is quickly becoming a favorite. Is that a swear word anymore?
  21. You could always go to Mill Ave ad enjoy the scenery
  22. Didn't see this here yet. From the NFL Network: America's Game NFL Films examines five of the best teams that missed out on football's biggest prize, the Lombardi Trophy, in America's Game: The Missing Rings. Three teams that lost in the Super Bowl, and two more that lost in the playoffs, will be prominently featured on NFL Network. » 1990 Buffalo Bills -- Debuts Thursday, Oct. 2, 10 p.m. ET
  23. another fine example of the qualtiy human being. Gotta love the internet!
  24. Analysis Positives: Compactly built athlete with good, lean muscle definition...Stays tight with receivers on deep routes and has good play development recognition skills...Has a good feel for the ball, maintaining eye contact on the receiver while tracking the ball in flight...Keeps a tight relationship with the receiver in the open and can cover ground with his closing burst...Shows good knee bend and a smooth, easy turning motion coming out of his backpedal...Takes good angles towards the ball and makes proper body adjustments turning and flexing for the pass, demonstrating natural hands and above average timing to high point the ball...Shows fluid hip turn and quick feet coming out of his backpedal... Makes proper zone adjustments and anticipates the quarterback's moves well, as he can handle the switch-off effortlessly...Has the hip snap and body control to position himself before delivering the hit...Has the burst to recover on deep routes...Gets a sharp break on the ball and is flexible in his hip turn and compensates for a lack of ideal height with good quickness and ball anticipation skills...Stays low in his pads and extends his arms to wrap and secure as a tackle (lacks strength behind his hits, though)...Shows natural hands, extending and plucking the ball away from the body's framework...Has the field vision to keep track of the ball in flight. Negatives: Size is a big drawback, but he compensates with good aggression and the timing to go up and snatch the ball out of the receiver's hands...Lacks ideal power for run support, but even though he is willing to face up, he does not have the strong anchor to prevent ballcarriers from running through his arm tackles...Sometimes gets a little too aggressive, causing him to over-pursue, but shows the recovery quickness needed to get back into the play...Gets so pass theft conscious that he will play the ball a little too much, tending to lose sight of the receiver at times...Reaches back on his heels sometimes when turning in his backpedal...Has to show better shadow ability when handling the receiver, but flashes quickness to recover...Needs to become more physical with the receivers in press coverage. Compares To: TIM JENNINGS-Indianapolis...Corner won't ever be confused for a Charles Woodson when it comes to taking on running backs, but he does provide great value in a sub package because of his natural hands and ability to get to the ball in flight. His best asset is his ball skills, as he times his leaps well to ride up on a receiver to deflect or pick the ball off. His size is a big drawback and will probably keep him out of the starting lineup, but few cornerbacks have the ability to reach and pluck the ball like he does. Injury Report No injury report available, but Corner did not miss a game due to injuries at Akron.
