  5. And my point is that Mularky is an idiot. This is the guy that turned down the Cinci job. Marvin Lewis should send him flowers for such a stupid move. I question Mularky's judgement about employment decisons the same way I question his judgement to throw the ball to the FB on the goal line.
  6. I agree, why would anyone want a HOF coach looking over your shoulder. I man after such a successful season with so many spectacular coaching decisions, all Marv would have done is screw up the Mularky vision for the Bills. Where is the sarcasm button?
  7. It was out of that bar that I started the Phoenix Bills Bakers club! We stayed there for a couple of years before we move to the Natvive New Yorker in Chandler. Befoe that, I used to watch the games at Max's . I seem to recall watching Marv's debut win there! BTW, Dan Manucci is a fellow McClintock Charger and I got the chance to meet him at my step-fathers resteraunt in Tempe
  8. I was at the Raiders Bills game the following year in LA. The game in which Norwood was missing everything. The best part of that game was the 51-3 chant that went up from the 5-8,000 Bills fans. Watched the game on tape on the bus ride to LA from Phx.
  9. It seems like just yesterday I was watching the game at High Tops bar in Phoenix, AZ. I can still remember the tears of joy and thinking that my prayers had been answered. I think I wore my Bills stuff on campus every day that week
  10. I would love this pick for OC. Not because I think he would do a great job, but because we went to the same high school in Tempe, AZ as did former Bills QB Dan Manucci And if I recall correctly, his sister had a great rack!
  11. Kelly's quotes were what, for me, made Sherman an even more interesting candidate
  12. Complete Sherman bio A big proponent of the importance of family, Sherman constantly works hard to ensure a strong sense of camaraderie within the Green Bay locker room. Fostered through such things as dodge ball tournaments and bowling events during mini-camps as well as by tongue-in-cheek videos that poke fun at players and coaches alike during the season, the Packers' tremendous harmony shows itself on the field. "You have to be able to laugh as a team - nothing creates cohesion and unity better than humor," said Sherman.

  14. I've got to imagine that the opportunity to work under a highly successful HofF HC would be a tremendous opportunity for anyone to improve at their craft. If you get hired and Marv sinks you, how will that reflect on Marv. I believe that this is a tremendous opportunity for ML to show his ability at a defferent level of footbal
  15. I've got to imagine that Marv is probably not pleased with Haslett's comments regarding Kent Hull and steroids
  16. I believe that we can getter a better feel for who Marv might hire for HC by taking a look at who he hired as OC,DC and assistant coaches. Is there an identifiable pattern? Did he hire people that he wad previously worked with? Had they previously held a comparable position with another team or were they promoted from the college ranks? For example, what was Marv's previous relationship with Marchibroda? Tom Bresnahan (sp?) etc. If there is some sort of identifiable pattern, we might be able to discern who he might pick as the next HC. While I'd love to do the research myself, I need to get ready for my 40th birthday party tonight here in lovely North Tonawanda and I'm not really counting on being sober for much longer!
  17. I think that people are assuming that it will be Haslett because he is a former Bill. I think that what would be more indicative of Marv's direction will be who out there has an existing relationship with Marv. I firmly believe that he will want someone he is already comfortable with. Without researching it, my guess is that most of Marv's hires for OC,DC and assistant coaches were somehow "related" to Marv along the way.
  18. Well, the Sun Devil in me is pulling for Jake to finally overcome his somewhat deserved reputation and win the big game. Although he was fantastic in the 97 Rose Bowl and if ASU had a decent defense we would've been National Champs that year. Why oh why can't my teams win the big one!!!
  19. I just hope that Marv listens to TKO and brings in a HC with experience. Everything in Marv's history as HC (all that this almost 40 year old can remember) points to Marv bringing in someone with which he already has some sort of connection. Also, as someone who was brought on board with the Bills after getting fired once himself, you have to think that he values experience as a teacher and that there are good coaches out there who were not neccessarily put in the best position the first time around. That being said, the only reason that I hesitate on saying that it will definately be Haslett is I'm unsure if there is any previous relationship between the two. just my 2 cents
  20. WR Derek Hagen Why not another WR? Please ignore he obvious Sun Devil bias
  21. Wow, you're fast with the post. I just got my V-Coach message while reading the board. Do you think they realized that Marv F-ed up yesterday by leaving the door ajar? Now, go out and find me an excellent coach!!!
