  1. Statistics disagree with you. You cherry picked a few names to make a point. See here: "For every successful first-round quarterback pick in recent years, there are almost twice as many failures. A conclusion can be drawn with 19 of the first-round picks. Only seven, or 36.8 percent, arguably could be considered a success." www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/agents-take-recent-draft-history-shows-first-round-qbs-are-more-likely-to-fail/amp/
  2. Move onto what, exactly? If we draft a QB, we need someone to groom him under. Unless there is a better free market or trade QB we can obtain, it'd be silly to get rid of him with no plan in place. Otherwise, If we draft a QB, it generally takes 3 years to learn the system and come into their own. Is it worth sacrificing a potential playoff team the next few years to grow a new QB?
  3. It's something beautiful about sports in general, but specifically in Buffalo. Regardless of what a Bills fan is going through in life, it's an amazing week, and the Bills have gifted hope to them. In Buffalo, football is more than a sport, and it's a beautiful thing to see.
  4. They are going to make a killing off this. It's the limited "Two Decade" edition.
  5. Feels good to be the underdog. Typical Bills fashion. As far as the scoring differential goes, if we don't start Peterman that game the 30 point loss likely would have been reduced without an extra five turnovers. That would bring the math up significantly. Seems wrong to assign a "mathematically ought to win X games" when one specific loss this season was half of the overall total. Total outlier imo.
  6. Even South Florida is a relatively cool in January, being that far south. Average temp in Miami is 68 degrees. Otherwise, North Florida weather varies greatly from South Florida.
  7. Don't understand the concept behind rooting for a second team. It's the BILLS until the end, and everyone else is the enemy.
  8. The whole point of digging up this thread. So many people shitting on the Bills all year, now acting like they supported them all year.
  9. I said before the game that it was a mistake to put Peterman in. Tyrod got us to where we were, he deserved to continue until out of playoff contention. Primarily because you have a green rookie you're putting in during a playoff race.
  10. This will be super unpopular, but I'll state my opinion regardless. I'm going to go with the Chargers game. Simply because it was a HUGE mistake to bench your starting QB while you're the 6th seed in the playoff race, and sitting at 5-4. The result was 5 INT's, which was 5 opportunities to score up to 35 points, with a loss differential of 30 points. A lot of folks pulled for Peterman to start, which I don't understand, because you bet on the horse that got you to that point in the first place. Instead, we took a blowout loss that no one knows how it would have turned out, and went back to the good 'ole Bills QB carousel that we know too well. To those saying we would have lost, you don't know that, nor do I. TOP was 36:05 for the Chargers, and the 5 interception performance had a lot to do with that. When your defense is on the field for 2/3 the game, they are going to get tired and start giving up points. Peterman should have never been put on the field, until the Bills were out of playoff contention. At that point, you put him in to see what you have in the rookie. You don't get weak in the knees 9 games into the season, and start messing with consistency.
  11. Great game. Edge of my seat after the onside kick was recovered.
  12. What a stupid penalty for Washington. Can't afford that next week.
  13. Lots of folks hate on Tyrod's throwing ability, but he keeps plays alive with his legs like the best of them. Many would-be sacks are turned into huge runs because he is a running threat too.
  14. I agree. He's certainly capable, and IMO, we can build around him.
  15. That'll happen when you're 26th in the NFL for passing attempts, and it's a run first offense.
  16. Any given Sunday. For all we know, Tyrod could turn it on for the rest of the season. The fact is, no one knows, which is why the Nostradamus attitude you see sometimes with people speaking in absolutes is ridiculous. Because the fact is no one knows what will happen, so let's just support our team and see what happens.
  17. Not sure if this is sarcasm, but he's already thrown very accurately over the middle several times in this game alone.
  18. The difference is that 2004 was the best defense the Bills have put on the field in the playoff drought. That, and we had Bledsoe who was a statue in the pocket, but could send the ball with a flick of the wrist.
