  1. In looking back, I never should have had a 3rd option
  2. Funny but this was put out by the Bills and titled “What National Analysts Are Saying About Josh Allen.” The team’s PR found a few positive ones and sent them out, and left out the all of the negative ones where they got a failing grade. Oddly enough, one of the biggest draft busts in Bills history, Bucky Brooks loved the move! By the way, I am convinced that Josh Allen has replaced Doug Whaley as the most polarizing figure in Bills history. http://buffalobills.com/news/article-1/What-national-analysts-are-saying-about-the-Bills-drafting-QB-Josh-Allen/2c213d20-bb09-4675-a431-681c4c800af3
  3. One of the best reporters covering the draft says it wasn’t about personality (I’m sure Jeremy White and Mike Schoop know better though)
  4. They should....but I feel we will hear how confident they are with Cullen. Scary thought
  5. Hey @Kirby Jackson you do a great job evaluating talent. What are your thoughts on Allen and do you think he succeeds? I didn’t like the pick and wanted Rosen like most fans
  6. It surely is. They wouldn’t bring someone on the air that would trash the pick
  7. Some popular excuses why. I don’t believe these but here’s what’s been put out there: - he was playing in the “winter” elements - he lost all of his talent to the NFL - the talent last year wasn’t good - Wyoming was a run first offense and threw a lot of low percentage deep passes - not a lot of high percentage passes in his offense Did I miss any?
  8. LOL yes he did for 2.5 days. He actually mentions that at the beginning of the interview. As far as why we should care? He’s highly regarded for his work in developing both high school and college QB’s. Nope! And that’s how much Bills fans will love Josh. He’ll be the first player to get a statue ?
  9. This is exactly why. It seems like McDermott and Beane are following the same blueprint they did in Carolina. Allen gives them a strong armed, athletic QB. Cam had accuracy issues in college and they were minimized in the NFL, so they think they can do the same with Allen. Many of us Bills fans wanted Rosen but it’s clear that the Bills didn’t want him. This is why we had to overspend at #7, instead of getting him later. Arizona wanted Allen and our team was not ok with that. I also think the injury concern was a big factor with why he wasn’t drafted.
  10. Say what you will but there is one guy who loves Josh Allen.... and I don’t mean Peter Prisco. Jordan Palmer was on John Murphy and he talked about Allen in glowing terms. He also discussed why his completion percentage was so low and, why in this particular case, he isn’t concerned. The most surprising thing he said he said is that Bill fans are going to love Josh and that he is the passer he’s ever seen. Better than Cutler or his brother Carston. He also said that in a few years Bills fans will be building a statue to him. 04-27 Jordan Palmer on One Bills Live https://dts.podtrac.com/redirect.mp3/wgr550.hosted.cx/hosting/media/wgr550/1642018/122596011.mp3
  11. LOL kind of does. Very much a deflated feeing.
  12. I also believe it was very much politically motivated. I like Jeremy but he came off a whinging baby this morning. Same thing for Howard. When a fan called them out and told them to say it to face, Howard walked his comments way back Flawed logic. If Arizona trades up for Allen and Miami takes Rosen, people would be pissed they didn’t move up. Lose lose situation for the Bills. They could have waited until Arizona made the trade to move up, but I don’t think they would have been ok with losing Allen. He was their guy 100%
  13. This is spot on.... I think Darnold starts a little earlier. Same for Rosen
  14. You are spot on about this. I didn’t like the Allen pick and wanted Rosen. But I did appreciate the fact that Beane went up and got th QB that he wanted. Your point about Jeremy White was perfect. He has repeatedly said that the Bills need to get a QB and not play it safe. This morning he’s complaining that we traded too much. It’s lame.
  15. Like Louis Riddick said yesterday “ no one cares.” If Rosen is so mad, his play should do the talking
  16. Flawed logic. How many times have 6th round picks or UFA’s developed into QB’s on the level of Brady or Warner. An extremely low number. Those are exceptions...not the norm. You said “who really knows” whether he will be great as of today, and you are correct. However there’s many red flags and past evidence that would lead you the conclusion that Allen won’t be successful in the NFL. That’s why fans are not thrilled with this pick. Its like buying lottery ticket. Yes you “could” win millions, but the math is telling you that you probably won’t win. There a lot of math going against the Bills and Allen. I was just sharing a very interesting observation. Also Just because your a Bills fan, doesn’t mean you have to blindly love every move the team makes. Ok well yeah you should do it. You have an interesting background and I feel you can add a lot to these discussions Right but if you look at the stats and the variables, there chances of Allen succeeding in the NFL as a franchise QB are much smaller than him failing
  17. If you read the first few tweets he explains this. Allen was asked to lead against weak pass defense and instead the OC chose to call running plays with a weak attack. Speculative? Maybe. But there seems to be a trend there and it has to make you wonder why
  18. We are posting red flags because there’s many red flags that exist!
  19. Um no... trying giving him a follow and you will see what I mean. This is provided very good insight on the NFL. i first heard of him in January when he broke down how Nathaniel Hackett’s play calling doomed the Jags versus the Patriots. Eater of Worlds, I’m just saying that Warren seems to have gained a much bigger following than in previous years - thanks to great analysis like his take on Allen
  20. If you don’t follow Warren Sharp, he seems probably the smartest analytics guy in football. He’s literally come out of nowhere this season and his insights are definitely informative. Stay with the tweets below about Josh Allen. The gist is, not only was his completion percentage low last season but Wyoming coaches didn’t trust him to throw the football. They chose to run the ball more, despite the fact that their rushing offense was far more ineffective than passing, and against defense who were far war against the pass. Coaches didn’t want the ball in Allen’s hands during crunch time. Look, based on his statistics the odds are against Allen developing into something special. I get why fans are freaking out You can read the tweets below. There are probably about 10 of them, but stick with it. Great analysis here:
  21. The Mayfield pick was fine but they did reach a bit for Ward
  22. I have always thought that Gillislee was the perfect backup to Shady. I would be 100% on board with bringing him back. It just depends on whether the coaching staff would be ok with taking away carries from Chris Ivory, the other veteran RB. I still think there’s a chance the Bills could draft Nick Chubb so there might not be a spot of Mike on the roster
  23. We have too many to fill!!! LOL You can dislike the pick of Allen over Rosen, as I do, but the Bills were able to get, their top choice at QB (or at worst, their 3rd choice) without surrendering their 1st round pick in either 2018 or 2019. They did give up a little more based on draft charts, but overall the value they got with the pick was great.
