Bengals probably want a DT also.
-
What's Gunner batting so far? Bet this whole draft is much harder to predict than usual.
-
They already had a Keon copy in Coker. Coker had couple good games last year.
-
Pete really loves him some Geno Smith.
-
That's what I meant . I typed that wrong. If NO doesn't take him how far does he fall?
-
I am planning on staying up til 10 to find out what 2nd round pick the Bills traded back for
-
Probably nothing, but Bills trade "proposal"

All Gunner's Draft Stuff.... 2025 Edition!!!
Maine-iac replied to GunnerBill's topic in The Stadium Wall
So if Beane puts a precedent on pass rush once Grant, Nolen, Harmon, and Williams are off the board (probably by early round 2) who is left who has so much pass rush juice that you would use a second round pick on them? Most of the prospects profiles read about the same as Carters did from last year. If you draft a DT because of his pass rush and he gets to the NFL and he's only good for 3 or 4 sacks and he's not good against the run it's kind of a wasted pick. Even that run stuffer that you (Beane) doesn't value drafting can fall on a QB 3 or 4 times in a season. -

In your opinion if Amos isn't there but Revel is do you think they still sit and pick Revel? I wouldn't be upset with that pick either. -
Return of the Tre! (Tre White signs with the Bills)
Maine-iac replied to FireChans's topic in The Stadium Wall
The question with Tre clearly isn't whether knows how to be a starting CB. The question is how well can he move after numerous injuries. If he comes in and proves that he can still move even 80 percent of what he used to I could see him as starting CB2. I hope we draft a CB who is good enough to start at CB2 but I hope it's because he's so good as a rookie that he earns it and not because Tre can't move anymore. I hope we legitimately have two guys who could start at CB2. -
Return of the Tre! (Tre White signs with the Bills)

Benford and Johnson both had QB ratings of 90 or less when thrown at. Bishop, Rapp, Hamlin, Lewis, and Douglas all had QB ratings well over 100 when thrown at. Interesting note is that Ingram only gave up a QB rating of 51.6 when thrown at in his limited playing time. -
Who on this board would you choose to make our draft picks?
Maine-iac replied to Don Otreply's topic in The Stadium Wall
There are very distinct draft camps. There are groups of people who want to draft a WR first round every year no matter what. A group that want to draft a pass rusher every year no matter what. Then a group that thinks whatever position we need just draft the guy with the fastest 40 time and we'll be all set. Finally there is a group that actually sees nuance and in game production and weights needs and skills with draft position to come up with some pretty interesting scenarios. In the end there are so many takes. I'd probably be no better at picking someone to draft for us than I would actually drafting players. Part of the fun is seeing how things turn out after time. -
Return of the Tre! (Tre White signs with the Bills)
Maine-iac replied to FireChans's topic in The Stadium Wall
Maybe ........... just maybe they signed Awuzie for the veteran minimum and got a similar player for less money. Maybe it had nothing to do with the Ravens "telling him to leave" and was simply they saved some cap space and White signed here. -
Return of the Tre! (Tre White signs with the Bills)
Maine-iac replied to FireChans's topic in The Stadium Wall
Much like I've said all along. He had a bad start in LA. Played some really tough teams right back from injury and in a new defense. He played fine with the Ravens. They never asked him to leave. They played him a majority of the snaps in the playoffs for that matter. From a Ravens web site: Down the stretch of the regular season and into the playoffs, White played regular snaps at cornerback and had a few notable pass breakups. More importantly, he generally did not give up big plays in the backend. https://www.baltimorebeatdown.com/2025/4/18/24410934/former-ravens-cb-tredavious-white-signs-one-year-deal-with-buffalo-bills-baltimore-cornerback -
Return of the Tre! (Tre White signs with the Bills)

So the two teams that paid him to come play for them post injury didn't see anything they liked but asked him to join the team anyway? -
My hot take is I like Knox at TE more than Kincaid. Maybe he's not the better route runner on film but after that I like every part of his game more than Kincaids. If we need a jump ball TD in the end zone I'd rather have Knox going up to get it. If we need someone to truck a guy and get a first down I'd rather have Knox trying to run someone over. If we need a block to spring the RB I'd rather have Knox blocking. He got overpaid but that said I'm glad he's on the roster and frequently I'd rather have him out there over Kincaid. Logically anyone could argue Kincaid should be better and I'd probably agree. I don't dislike Kincaid. I just don't think his game is physical enough and I don't think he has had the pass catching effect he was drafted for (yet).

Return of the Tre! (Tre White signs with the Bills)
Maine-iac replied to FireChans's topic in The Stadium Wall
Also White played 20 or more snaps in all but two games with Baltimore and 30 plus snaps in his playoff game against us where he gave up a 70 rating when thrown at. Snap counts for each game are here: https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/W/WhitTr01/gamelog/2024/ ps interesting note is that White played special teams for the Rams while he was there. He had 20 special teams snaps with them. -
Return of the Tre! (Tre White signs with the Bills)

Went out to a Mexican restaurant and had a few too many margaritas yesterday. Looking back at it his first 3 games were bad but they were also in a new defense and 2 of the games were vs Detroit and SF. After the first 3 games he settled in fairly well or at least enough to hope he's still got something left. In case someone else hasn't posted it already. https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/W/WhitTr01/gamelog/2024/advanced/ -
Return of the Tre! (Tre White signs with the Bills)
Maine-iac replied to FireChans's topic in The Stadium Wall
If you look at White's advanced defense stats he started the year off in LA with three bad games but then was fairly solid the rest of the season. He's further removed from injury and younger than Bradbury. Trying to be positive. I always liked White hopefully he has something left. -
Not necessarily sure he's on the Bills radar but probably a late day 3 or even UDFA guy who could help a team would be Lan Larison. His 40 time aside he ran for almost 1,500 yards, had 850 yards recieving, and scored 23 TD's. Threw some passes, made a few tackles, what else could you ask for?

Last year my sleeper pick was Jalen Coker. Thought he was a poor mans Keon Coleman. Probably more or less true. This year for sleeper I'd go David Walker Edge. I'm getting Terrell Suggs vibes. Sometimes I think this WR class could be sneaky better than people think. There's no Harrison Jr or Nabers but 2nd tier to 2nd tier there's some guys you wouldn't mind having on your roster.

Wide Receiver Train Full Speed Ahead- CHOO CHOO!
Maine-iac replied to Pete's topic in The Stadium Wall
Don't know why I didn't see this earlier. Plus side notes, your weaknesses include him playing lighter than at the combine but with that said he ran a good 40 at the combine with more weight. He might be fine packing on a little more muscle. That also plays into the knee injury part, he seems to be moving fine. I also definitely saw some nice fight after the catch on the video I posted. Smith even commented he needs to fight less and go down or he'll get popped in the NFL. I try not to get to hyped about any one pick but I'm really hoping Buffalo calls his name. -
Kelly had the same career TD percentage on throws versus Marino. Higher completion percentage and higher yards per attempt. He played 160 games vs 240 but percentage wise on the same throws he had more completions, as many TD's, and more yards than Marino. Elway isn't even close. If Elway hadn't finished his career with a couple of SB seasons it wouldn't even be suggested he was near Kelly. Elway had about as much to do with Denver's SB wins as Manning did with the 2015 Broncos. He was good for maybe one good game in each playoff run. Bubby Brister went 4 and 0 with that 98 Broncos team.

Listened to this on repeat after beating Baltimore. Then we lost to the Chiefs but I still like the song.
