Our two outside receivers are both 4.35 guys. I'm not saying they're world-beaters, nor do they need to be. It's a speedy WR corps for a big-armed QB. They also added an accomplished slot guy, which we all know is important in Daboll's offense.

This WR corps is already quite improved from 2018, and that's what matters.

Not to nitpick but Foster ran a 4.41. I'm optimistic about him and Brown's speed but they are both still question marks for me. I would have preferred to spend this money on the o line and swing for a couple game breakers in the draft.

McBeane has shown that they're willing to be bold when required.  Every move is calculated, weighing both risks and benefits.  Compare their move up to get Josh Allen with the previous move ups by other GM's, McCargo, TJumptotmakeacatch Graham, etc.  Their picks and move downs have been solid, as opposed to Marv in 2006.  With Leinart and Cutler still on the board, he could have traded down for a king's ransom, OR picked Haloti Ngata.  But he went with $hitner.  McBeane makes way better decisions than any GM we've had in the 21st century.

With their only move down they passed on the MVP when they needed a QB

Good for him, he won’t put up those numbers without Big Ben.

I knew it wouldn’t be long before someone said this. Allen’s numbers aren’t good because he has inferior receivers but try to get good receivers and they won’t be successful here because the QB isn’t as good. Circular-loser-mentality logic.

You win at the Line of Scrimmage. Build both lines.

    Who?

DK all the way. I like the TEs and OTs but the difference in potential from them to the potential free agents isn't as big as the difference between DK and the available WRs. That's before you consider the price difference as well. There's no way to get a #1 WR this offseason outside of hitting on one in the draft. There are plenty of starting caliber TE an OTs available so hopefully we can snag them.

    Like I said earlier.

I'm happy Beane did his due-diligence and explored what it would take to add Brown.

I'm not happy that Beane was willing to offer more than 30 other GMs.

What was the offer? I haven't seen that anywhere just curious. I'm probably good with whatever it is short of pick 9.

Im glad the Bills didn't bend over for AB, would have been a terrible move. I feel more confident today about the Bills future. I don't believe Brown wouldn't come here, he just wouldn't come here without the big payday.

Could be, or he turned that down too. We  probably will never know.

If QBs do indeed get pushed up the board, it is going to be hard to pass on (I'm stealing this from Bandit btw) chossing between a couple of these guys

    Nick Bosa

    Quinnen Williams

    Josh Allen

    Josh Jacobs

    Ed Oliver

    Christian Wilkins

    Jawaan Taylor

    Rashan Gary

    Devin White

    Jeffrey Simmons

    TJ Hockenson

Each of these players is better than Metcalf and I agree with Bandit that Simmons just doesn't seem like a process guy off the field. And if Bosa or Allen or in the impossible event that Both of them are there, get them both!

While we are throwing opinions out as fact Metcalf will be one of the top 5 receivers in the league within 3 years if not sooner.

Even if his cone numbers mean he literally can only run one direction I’m ok with that. (But I think that’s oberblown)

How often did Calvin Johnson or Randy moss just run straight knowing their speed and size were enough bc there just isn’t anyone on the defense with the combo to match?

And Im not buying a Stephen Hill or Heyward Bey comparison retort because D.K. was considered a top WR prospect since before this season maybe longer for reasons other than elite athleticism. Those guys only flew up draft boards last minute due to workouts.

You didn't provide one example of his mistakes.

Last year in the lead up to the draft i heard him twice say that Andrew Luck has never made the playoffs. Both times he was trying to make a point about how getting a great QB prospect like luck doesn't guarantee success. He used the state of the Colts as an example and topped it off with "Andrew luck has never made the playoffs!" He did this on two separate occasions about a month apart.

Wow—now this is a teardown plan, and he is clued into that franchise. https://www.miamiherald.com/sports/spt-columns-blogs/armando-salguero/article225952960.html

Looks like we should be expecting the Bills to beat Miami twice next season. If we don’t, it’ll be a real failure.

I’m not going to expect anything. Not after that Thursday night blow out loss to the Jets two years ago.

I don’t why people want to overpay for a possible injury risk Tackle, especially since G and C are cheaper, and as stated above the draft is rich with Tackles. Our interior is the greatest need where we can build a great running program to counter the Pass.  Bottom line is Tackles cost a ton of money right behind QB’s,WR, and Pass Rushers.

we can get those more expensive players in the draft on the cheap, and fortify the positions of need.  Remember we need around $5 mil for the draft, $5 mil for an emergency fund, and save some cap space for who we extend the following year to keep players here for the long haul.  Just one of them will be T. White in 2020.  He is a lockdown CB.

Even if the cap increases to $90 mil, that is $15-20 mil off the top, so use the money carefully as Beane stated in the letter to season ticket holders.

We’re not going to blow even $80 mil in this free agency.  Maybe $60 mil.  Wouldn’t it be more prudent to get a Paradis, C, and two WR, or a TE and WR?

You said yourself WR is more expensive free agent position so where’s the value in signing two? And who is even worth it this year? There are no #1 WRs in the market. Tyrell Williams maybe.

I’d rather sign a vet C(Paradis or Morse) and RT Daryl Williams then go after skill positions in the draft.
