  1. Fair enough, and you raise some good points. It's true that my and others initial reasons for skepticism may turn out to be unfounded. One other reason that I feel we may become more conservative this year is because we now have a first time play caller. I have a bad feeling that McD is going to exert more influence over Dorsey to remain "balanced". I agree with Mango's comment that cost plays a huge part in this deal. Maybe with how glowingly Saffold spoke of the Bills we were able to get him on the cheap.
  2. I appreciate your snark. If we are to remain a pass centric team, would it not make sense to build your line around blockers who excel in that area instead of potentially weakening what you do best? Especially when you have a highly paid, superstar quarterback? Saffold also does not even seem like a fit for the zone scheme that Kromer runs. And thanks for the amazing revelation that an Oline coach alone does not dictate philosophy. I'm going to venture to guess that one of the reasons the Saints threw the ball so much was because they had absolutely atrocious defenses, and their head coach was, you know, Sean Payton? One of the most progressive, innovative play callers in NFL history. On the other hand, McDermott, while having made strides in becoming less conservative, is still a defensive coach by trade. One could easily argue that if the ball hadn't been taken out of Allen's hands the first 2 possessions of the 2nd half against KC, we might be in a very different place now I don't think it's crazy at all to question if our commitment to the run is going to increase going into next season, especially given the widely reported rift between Daboll and McDermott.
  3. Not against maintaining some balance and keeping teams honest. I just question how much emphasis needs to be put on the run game when you have arguably the best player in the game at qb. As someone else mentioned in this thread, I would prefer the line to be better pass blockers than run blockers if it can only be one or the other.
  4. Ok, I can get on board with this if that's what occurs. Can you imagine if the Bills morphed back into a run first team with Allen as qb, in part because they can't protect him? I imagine both you and I would be livid at that development. Running the ball is a luxury imo. The Rams just won the SB with literally every handoff getting stuffed in the backfield.
  5. When you have Josh Allen and are paying him 45 mil a year, isn't that what you would want them to be anyway?
  6. This is the one thing I questioned when Kromer came back. Does his return indicate a desire to run the football more? The signing of Saffold sure makes you wonder, and if so I'm not a huge fan of that philosophy
  7. I think Carr is better, but either way you're never going to win anything with either of those guys. Why keep giving them big money?
  8. We definitely need more and better at WR, but at the same time I am very happy Isaiah is back. He has been grossly underutilized
  9. I get it. Don't hate the guy, and he is better than Buck at least
  10. I think Gus is a decent announcer, but for some reason incredibly overrated by fans. There's more to play by play than emotion and screaming. See Vin Scully, Marv Albert, Dick Enberg, etc etc...
  11. You go ahead and die on that sword brother. The remaining 65-70 percent of sane individuals in this country will do our best to compensate for your inane beliefs. Tell me, is the sky blue or are you convinced that it is a shade of green and orange that everyone else is missing?
  12. Where do you get your talking points, honestly? The world doesn't have to be one big partisan exercise man. Take a deep breath, and stop being so angry. This unfettered allegiance to certain politicians and subsequent spinning of every story to fit a political narrative is pathetic.
  13. Agree on Fitz lol. As much as I think he is a capable backup, he ends up starting every place he goes because of injury. I would scared to death for Allen if the Bills signed him
  14. For me it was the injuries, awful playcalling, and suspect calls/non calls that takes it down several notches. This has the feel of the 89 Super Bowl, and I'm sure the same for older Cincy supporters - same score and tense ending, but an overall mediocre game
  15. For a game that went down to the wire, this sure felt underwhelming
  16. Moronic play to try for a pick there. What a choker
  17. Bad luck aside, it seems safe to say that Boy Wonder has been officially exposed as not a SB caliber head coach
  18. Bingo. These are probably the worst 2 teams to compete in a Super Bowl that I can remember. There's a reason why the combined seeding for this game is the lowest in SB history
  19. Let's run it again for negative 2 lol
  20. It won't matter because the Rams are a shell of themselves right now and McVay is choking it away
  21. If we wait another few minutes and the Rams get back into it I'm sure Kupp will then tear his ACL
