  1. The 2018 qb draft is turning out about as expected imo, in terms of legit star players. Drafting qb's has always been a crapshoot, but it would be highly unusual for more than 2 franchise guys to come out of a single draft. There's only been a handful of great years (ex 1983, 2004) that have produced more. It's just like this past year where 5 guys were drafted in the 1st. More time is obviously needed for things to shake out, but I would be surprised if any more than 2 turn out to be difference-makers.
  2. I hear you, but the Pats haven't exactly been losing many games these days. I think it would be foolish to not think of other ramifications should the Bills fail to win the division. I mean, the odds at this point are pretty much 50/50. If the Bills were to miss the playoffs altogether, this season of such promise would have to go down as the most disappointing in franchise history.
  3. I have been rooting for all teams behind us at the start of the day to lose today (meaning NE, Cleveland, Pitt, Indy, etc.). I want to at least secure our odds of getting into the tournament first. Not to mention, we have a poor conference record and many teams would hold tiebreakers over us in a wild card scenario. If we are able to beat the Pats Monday night, I will feel much more comfortable about our position. At that point I will probably start to worry about seeding more and hope that teams at the top of the conference begin to lose.
  4. Right, what an incredible play by the Hall of Fame rookie. Have 10 seconds to throw a wide open 2 yarder, player runs for 20 yards, wash rinse and repeat. What a legend he is
  5. The Titans are severely undermanned and have played like dog %^&, but should still be beating the Pats handily. Ugh how anyone can root for NE is beyond me
  6. I agree. But watching Jones fully today for the first time, I am not that worried about him. I'm of the mind that no matter who the Pats drafted, that player was likely to experience success because of their system that is in place. I will admit that Mac is the most pro ready, but his physical skills are below average imo. Let's also not forget that the Patriots had the most opt outs last year.
  7. Yep, and if we don't the WC possibility is iffy at best with us winning tiebreakers against virtually no one at the moment
  8. Oh look another 2 yard pass for 15
  9. He reminded me somewhat of Fitz on that deep pass as he literally threw his whole body into it lol
  10. The BBFS is strong here. Why does New England being decent mean things are going to return to the way they were? Last I checked we have a proven HC/GM combo in place and a legit franchise qb
  11. That should have been picked. I could have run to the fridge to get a beer and returned to the TV before the ball reached its destination
  12. The Pats seem to have a giant horseshoe stuck up their #$% right now
  13. He's not. Let's see... HOF caliber coach and OC? Check Top 5 Oline? Check 2 Top Tier Tight Ends? Check Arguably the best running game in the league? Check Top 5 defense in football? Check About the only thing this guy doesn't have in his favor is great wideouts. Literally everything else is conducive to stepping in immediately and having success while not being asked to do too much. As someone else said, imagine if Allen had a Oline/running game like theirs
  14. No kidding. All damn day to throw and guys with no one around them. Sorry, but not impressed with Jones. Any qb could be making these throws
  15. Titans are just going to give this away. The lack of recognition by their defense on the end around and screen play was pathetic.
  16. All of this true. But Brady has always been miscast as lacking arm strength or throwing short passes only. The Bills alone were victimized many times by his down the field passing. I would go so far as say that even at 44, Brady has a better arm than Mac. I just don't see the flat out arm talent in Jones as anywhere near his predecessor's, and that is something that is highly unlikely to change. Doesn't mean the Pats can't be annual contenders with him, though.
  17. If you think a 7th round pick from Pitt plus Levi Wallace is capable of holding the fort down enough to win a championship, I admire your optimism. Our CB depth blew before the Tre injury!
  18. Probably true. But an effort should have been made to at least try to cover our bases in the most vulnerable areas, which unfortunately includes CB
  19. Prayers up for Tre but the refusal to address the lack of depth in the CB room has always left this a possibility to be dreaded. If he is in fact hurt long-term, the Bills have absolutely no one to blame but themselves for the consequences. Let's hope it is not season ending...
  20. Should be up minimum of 16-0 with the momentum and the game almost out of reach. That was NOT a good half of football against a severely depleted team
  21. All the "good thing there's another game in a few days" thinking is flawed imo. The Bills are reeling at the moment, and it's hard to see them getting their act together in such a short period against a team well equipped to do the same thing to us that Indy did. Add in another potential offensive struggle against a usually stout Saints D, and it could be a long Thanksgiving evening. Sure as hell hope I'm wrong
  22. Can't decide how I want this one to end. All I know is I can't stand the rednecks from Pennsyltucky
  23. Exactly. What a crazy call to give it to Ekeler, a small finesse rb when you have a 6 foot 6 beast of a qb. Horrible call
