i read it so quick i thaught it said snowblower... but showboater makes even less sence.

i would trust my agent. its in his best intrest to get me paid and make sure im not screwed over by the team. i would NEVER trust the team over my agent. the players agent works for him, the team simply uses the player to win games and sell tickets and make money.

i can really see this happening. the guy accidentally cuts off his funger, and goes for help, but befor he can get back..... a guy finds his finger in his food.. ok, that would get you ~ 1 mil. but then he intentionally refused to give the finger back to reattatch it. he did that knowingly. and the hospital staff even tried to get it back, and talk to the guy, and he still refused. knowing they could reattatch it, and basically MAKING the guy go through life without a finger. i can definatly see the guy who lost a finger sue and win, and maybe even arresting the guy who kept the finger, charging him with a criminal act....

NOT A DE.

the guy went from having a million dollar law suit, to being sued, and will probubly wont win any court battle. the hospital people tried to get the finger back to re-attatch it, and the guy said no, saying hes getting a lawyer and a tv spot.. what a dick. i would be PISSED if i found a finger, but i would !@#$ a guy over and make him go through life without a finger.....

well now they know that when they are shot and dying, they shouldnt act like they've been shot or dying. but seriously, i say he did his job, and did the right thing in that situation, but it still doesnt look good. but war never looks good. we have to accept teh fact that most of the iraqis dont want US troops in their country. every thing they see on a TV about US troops shooting at iraqis, whether "insurgents" or not does not look good. but war is not a beauty contest... this is why they dont send camera people with the special forces. they do some pritty ugly stuff. but its stuff that has to be done, and those men are better men than me...

happens all the time. players are often told to restructure your contract or they will be cut. do you have a problem with the chargers TE who was a undrafted FA, and paid the minimum salary and 2 years later is a probowl TE who helped turn his team from last in the NFL to a playoff team, should keep being paid that minimum salary?? im sure he would dissagree. and so would i. your only 1 play away from a carrer ending injury. no more pay checks. what you have in the bank has to last the rest of your LIFE. do you think these players can go from starting WR in the NFL to bottom of the pole, entry level, live in a cubical job??

you should get what you can, while you can. thats fact #1. teams dont care about players. fans dont care about players. all they want is to win. yeah they make alot of money, but 80% of those players are only in football for 4 years. (its not a true stat, but im guessing...) not all football players will be stars. or make millions of dollars a year. its up to them to get what they can. its up to the team to try to get him with a low contract. and the ONLY leverage a player has is to holdout. and you cant blame him for using his only leverage. im not talkin about mannings 100mill contract. im talkin about that backup or possible starter whos contract is up, or a guy who is a probowler and is paid less than the 3rd round draft pick... we all want to get paid what we think we are worth. and we all think we are worth more than we are. YOU DO NOT CALL OUT PLAYERS ABOUT CONTRACT DISPUTES. NOT EVEN THOSES GOING TO THE HALL ONE DAY.
