Do you mean beating good teams consistently or ever?

If consistently, okay. If ever, he's beaten good teams as a starter.

The team (with him at QB) beat the playoff bound Texans last year and the 3-0 Patriots who shut out a playoff bound team 10 days earlier (3 days extra rest and prep for the greatest coaching mind in history) with exactly the same QB at the helm as the Bills would go on to shut them out.

I get that absolutely everyone wants to pile on that Patriots game being without Brady, but that was still a pretty darn good team.

i'm a taylor fan and i still dont count the brisset led pats as a notch on taylors belt.... foxx obviously means he needs to beat more good teams at a more consistent rate. its not rocket science that needs to happen. but there are a lot of other factors from the TEAM that come into play when we talk about how the bills havnt beat many good teams lately(or the last 17 years).

for me personally... i'd like to see him come up bigger in clutch moments. he's had plenty of late game opportunities and as a general rule has come up small in those big moments. that just has to change. no way around it.

  2. Weddle and Hyde are equal on planet Deulsia. I don't even like Weddle because he gambles so much but he is hands down one of the better safeties in the game.

Mosley might be better than our backers?

Their OLine isn't comparable to ours?

Your right we won't see eye to eye on talent, perhaps we should just look at happened when the two teams played last year? FYI Shaq will never be Suggs, Suggs strength is bending the edge which Shaq can not do. They couldn't be more different.

What happened when they played last year....the ravens were 2 missed FG's away from losing so Im not sure where there is some type of definative arguement there

Shaq will never be better then Suggs? Suggs is OLD......your thinking of what Suggs USED to be....and how in the world can you say that a 2nd year layer will never have a better season then a player that is pretty much at the end of his career.

I actually like Suggs especially when he was younger.....but definative statements like that dont strengthen your arguement sir.

And the whole devaluing Mica Hyde thing......what? Mica is actually better because he can do more on the field.......he is a really fine player

And yes....our OL is actually way better then Baltimore's overall

you would think the ravens finished 12-4 and beat us by 3 scores last year in the opener........ not like they only beat us by a score and finished a lone game ahead of us.... oh wait....

  3. Outside of a young Torrey Smith, who put up the most receiving yards of any WR to play with Flacco.

off the top of my head..... maybe derrick mason? i know he had a couple of 1000 yd seasons there with flacco.

regardless, the notion that wr's can produce big numbers with flacco has no historical legs to stand on. he's never produced more than average numbers.

  4. and once again, Maclin has not stated the reason he went to Baltimore. The contract and his wife were probably the big reasons. And once again, Flacco the elite QB has the Ravens at 31-33, while the lowly Bills are 30-34 the same time span.

How dare you mention 2015 when TT and Watkins were terrific the second half. You must only judge on 2016 when Watkins played injured and missed many games.

you are only allowed to reference the past if you are talking about flacco and the playoffs..... then it makes perfect sense. lol

  5. Sammy would be the best wr he played with by far, unless you count 45 year old Steve Smith.

I think Sammy would produce on a similar level as OBJ if he had a qb like Flacco and stayed healthy of course. Obviously, it's just a guess but Flacco has done well with some pretty whatever type WRs.

he really hasnt. he's been painfully average throughout his whole career other than his miraculous 4 game run.... his production isnt even close to impressive for todays standards and now he doesnt even win games.

flip flop our qb's and i dont think either guy wins or loses anymore than they did on their actual team. blame flacco's weapons and run game all you want but the BALT d was very stout last year. the guy has been soooooo average. i wouldnt be anymore convinced we had a franchise guy if he was in buffalo than im convinced now with the qb we have.

  6. He is not great, but good enough. He has proven that when the right weapons are in place. Dixon looked good once he got healthy the running game should be improved. I look for Baltimore to have a bounce back season. I said that before the Maclin decision, I have doubts he can stay healthy anyways. So him skipping town doesn't bother me too much.

people have been riding the ravens since their superbowl run and the truth of it is they have done next to nothing. and over the last 4 years have basically been an average to bad team. i don't think they are scaring many. but who knows. teams can rebound. one thing has been pretty constant though. flacco's play. its pretty pedestrian as a whole and the talent they have around him as a team usually reflects in their record. when they have a d they usually win for him. when they don't he doesn't elevate and they go 8-8. average.

as for maclin.... i'm a little disappointed he woulda been a really cool #2 option, but the optimist in me thinks him going elsewhere will put the emergence of jones into overdrive. i hope he wins that starting spot and never looks back!

  7. ummm...

Dennis Pitta TE had 86 recptions and 729 yards last year

Mike Wallace WR had 72 receptions and 1017 yards last year

38 year old Steve Smith WR had 70 receptions and 799 yards last year

yeah, i think i'd a chose Flacco too.

right the ONLY season he's ever broke 4000. and to top it off he had a whopping 20 td to 15 int and an 83 rating..... and hasn't made the playoffs in 3 out of the last 4 seasons. I literally have no clue how anyone could argue flacco is anything but a middling average qb.

  8. He got Kamar Aiken 75 balls and 944 yards, I'm sure Maclin will eat just fine if he can stay on the field.

I don't disagree I think he'll have a fairly solid season being their top option but the notion that flacco is some sort of qb that gets his wr's big numbers is absurd. if i'm not mistaken he's only ever had a wr go over 1,100 once(torrey smith)..... I mean one guy is calling him elite in here. holy cow!

  9. well... i think it says that Maclin, you know... an NFL player, would rather play with Flacco than your boy, Tyrod.

becuz receivers have realllllyyyy produced with flacco as of late..... or ever for that matter. lol.

picking between the 2 qb's at this point would be trying to split hairs IMO. let them trade places and I don't think either team wins or loses any more games. average qb play.

Keto diets "trick" you into thinking you are losing tons of fat when the reality is much of the weight you are losing is simply water. The word carbohydrate comes from the fact that for each gram of carb you take in and store, the body also stores 3-4 grams of water along with it as glycogen. On a keto diet, you deplete these glycogen stores pretty quickly and lose a bunch of weight...congratulations. You also become much weaker and flatter looking. Not exactly what you want if you are an avid gym rat.

People who know do carb cycling. People who don't do keto.

carb cycling gives you all of the real benefits of keto without any of the drawbacks. You don't lose 20-30 lbs of strength, you don't lose size, and you still burn fat. In fact, many times you will get better results with carb cycling diets than you will with keto from a fat burning standpoint.

"people who know"... know that the mechanisms the body uses in a state of ketosis are much more complex and affective than just losing a couple pounds of quick water weight. their are plenty of fitness athletes that utilize keto. personally its not for me. anytime i'm coming back down to sub 10% BF levels in the warmer months i simply create a slight calorie deficit by manipulating my carb intake and partition most of that intake around workout windows.

but plenty of impressive individuals maintain performance and an elite fitness level in ketosis. there's no "one ring to rule them all" here.

FITNESS.... the one field that everybody "KNOWS"

  11. Scaring? I don't need any of that. I will however take the guy that can run an offense and make presnap decisions. Taylor is a lot more fun to watch but he is missing to many of the fundamentals to even consider him over Flacco.

i cant say who'd i'd take. coin toss for me. both have been average for most of their starting careers.... i just cant agree that flacco is a clear cut better option than taylor.

i mean who didnt laugh at the contract that the ravens gave flacco after that superbowl? it was absurd i mean i feel like ozzie newsome was like "well crap he just messed around and won the damn thing. now we gotta give him a huge deal.". did anyone think that was a good move for them? i sure didnt. he was nothing but average before that run and has been nothing more than that ever since.

  12. WHAT? Taylor over JOEY Bagadonuts? Are you guys getting a mind melt from the sun?

Baltimore is going to surprise some people this year.

flacco has been nothing but pedestrian other than a 4 game run to a title..... they have one winning season over the last 4 and finished last year just awful. joe flacco isnt scaring anyone next year, and honestly i dont know if he ever has

  13. Crusher does not want success for the Bills as long as TT is the QB. His agenda from the BBMB is still going strong.

that train is NEVER late. LOL.... i've been dipping in and out of this thread looking for updates and occasional laughs from the side topics and as soon as posts shifts towards taylor, who do you think tosses his hat into the ring? haha. wasnt one bit surprised.

  14. I also think he benefited from playing with Peyton. A good receiver playing with a great QB always puts up better numbers than he's actually worth. Deion Branch is the prime example, and there are others.

he also posted 950 yds dealing with geno smith for a season and then had a nice 1000 yds and 12 td in 2015. I feel like his production has been solid no matter who is tossing him the football. I mean it was obviously better when manning was slinging it his way... he hasn't been a world beater but he's been a really good #2 wr for a couple of teams now.

probably still rather have maclin though. regardless I just wanna see DEPTH at the position.... I don't ever wanna deal with watching a guy like walt friggin powell starting a game ever again.

  15.

    Ha. Lol. Lmfao.

So tell me ... how does it make sense to you, for the Bills to overspend on a 29-year-old receiver, when the Bills' GM has done, said and not said everything that points to him not wanting TT as the QB.

Do you think the Bills are one WR away from being a contender?

Do you think that a team going into a season with a rookie HC and a rookie GM legitimately has a shot to win in the NFL?

Do you think the Bills have replaced everyone they cut with equally talented players? Or did they replace with the draft, AKA unproven players?

You tell me how Jeremy Maclin makes the offense better than last year. And also tell me how the defense is suddenly better ... but give me more than, "they got rid of the Ryans."

first off..... this is what i added to my post seconds after i put it up .... "as for maclin.... i think it could only be a good addition and amazing depth for the right price. i doubt he'll be satisfied with that price though, and i'm sure somebody with some available money will give him a bit more than he's worth"

and 2nd you completely shifted the focus of what everyone was mocking..... your notion taylor has consistently had great receivers to work with. thats what my post was commenting on. it was hilarious. like, you actually freaking said that. think about that.

  16. i love that i finally click into this thread and the only thing i see is one classically HORRIBLE post getting quoted with gifs and memes just owning it.....

lol.... that made my day. one whole page quoting just lambasting a downright awful post.

as for maclin.... i think it could only be a good addition and amazing depth for the right price. i doubt he'll be satisfied with that price though, and i'm sure somebody with some available money will give him a bit more than he's worth.

  17. I have no problems with him getting another season...this should settle things once and for all in what I consider to be a throw away year since it's year one of a new regime.

And you'll be rooting against him every game.

on one hand crusher says he doesn't mind giving him another year and on the other he says we have halfback impersonating a qb...... I could be mistaken but I think its quite evident he's gonna be disgruntled if taylor shows up and plays nice ball. in fact it doesn't really matter how taylor plays this year, i'm pretty sure his and couple other posters minds are made up regardless of outcome.

..... and could somebody please name a halfback in the nfl that could step in and post a top 10 passer rating at any point in their career? do posters really understand how stupid they look when they spew crap like that onto a keyboard?
