At this point, I’m ready to play Allen, cut Peterman and sign Matt Moore to be the backup. This is a joke.
-
Empty backfield - good idea.
This game has it all.. Garbage play, Garbage QB, Garbage coaching and zero focus.

Secondary is a strength huh... Not so far

I’m interested to see what this offense looks like. I’d rather Allen start, but completely understand that Peterman just flat out won the job. If his preseason play translates to the regular season, we’ll be a pretty good football team. If it doesn’t, the Josh Allen era begins this season.
Also interested to see Daboll’s offense. Love that Groy is starting, as he’s a solid C. I think we’ll be utilizing our RBs and TEs a lot - both in the run and passing game.
-
Pretty sweet offseason for the Raiders. Weird draft combined with the loss of Mack and Bryant.

Wow I thought Reilly was released for Streater, but we are saying Robert Foster is better than Reilly?
Maybe not better, but different, with much more potential.

Peterman has proven enough that if he is named starter, he deserves the chance. That being said, I want to see Allen. Daboll can scheme to keep him upright and I'm sure we run a decent amount, along with deploying 2 TE sets to slow the pass rush.

I didn't like the non-challenge at all.
Young QB, in a tough situation, finally makes a big play. Team rallies around him. Maybe he, and the offense, finds some rhythm.
We don't challenge. We punt.
Maybe nothing changes, but I thought that was a moment that the team needed that day.
If he just wanted to punt, so be it. Maybe he did want to practice OL hypotheticals as well. Just bizarre use of PG3, imo. If we beat Baltimore Week 1, i'll immediately retract any criticism of this game.

This thread shouldn't exist until after next years Draft and Free Agency.
I'm as annoyed with our Offensive Line as anyone else after what we witnessed in PG3, but next year, with a ton of cap space and a full draft, we will see a completely different team with what draft picks and $$$ can get you..... an influx of talent.
Now Star and Murphy need to show me something because those guys were given actual money and so far, one has been underwhelming in preseason and one is a ghost.

So.... “running contingency plans” and “evaluating players” on the Offensive Line with a rookie QB making his first start against an opposing teams #1 defense.
Ok.... ??♂️

I do think the OL will perform better come regular season.
-For one thing, we’ll be running the ball more.
-Hopefully the OL gels a bit more over the coming weeks leading up to Game 1.
-Daboll can gameplan to hide weaknesses, instead of being in evaluation mode.
-Dawkins and Shady will help.
That being said... That first half today drained about 90% of my optimism for this season. Now we get to hold our breath and hope the OL isn’t a dumpster fire and preseason Peterman is the real Peterman, not SD Nate. We’ll know soon enough with Baltimore, San Diego and Minnesota defenses out the gate.
Biggest worry - The “up the gut” pressure needs to get fixed and I don’t know how you do that without changing personnel or having said personnel man up.
-
We went out and signed Ivory, Star and Trent Murphy.
Those guys better start doing something come regular season or our FO has some serious questions to answer on why they didn’t allocate some money to the OL - There were FA’s available.
Hopefully our OL just needs to gel, but what I saw in the first half was unacceptable for an NFL team. Never seen anything like that in my life.

Aaaaand that’s what’s scary about Peterman.

I hope some day really soon this board and the national media can let go of the Chargers game and talk about Peterman without mentioning that game. Yea, a rookie had a bad half against a great defense in his first ever nfl start. Can we move on?
He has to do it in a regular season game. If he does, not only will the national perception change, but so will many of our opinions.
Not going to lie, he looks phenomenal this preseason, but that game won’t be out of my head until I see him do it in a regular season game.
-
Only hope I have for this OL is that they really need some time together.
We lost Wood and Incognito and have a whole lot of shuffling along the line.
Not an excuse for what weve seen in Preseason Game 2&3, but it’s all I’ve got to hang hope on.
We should be ALL OVER any halfway decent interior linemen on the waiver wire.
-
I hate the idea of not playing Allen because our OL is such a joke.... but Peterman, man, he looks good.

thought everyone was ok with "a step back"?
This isn’t a step back... This is worse than anything I’ve ever seen in football.

Cool, Allen getting a concussion. Seriously **** this O-Line.

Edmunds single handedly shut that drive down.

Bright side is no offensive line has ever looked this bad all season. We’re on pace for double digit sacks per game.
That cant, won’t happen...right... RIGHT!?

Half is so bad that Bills Facebook is posting about Billy Buffalo

Yep, I am definitely against trading the first for Mack now, that’s definitely a top 3 pick...
It’s only preseason but this is what McDermott puts out on the field after an entire offseason coming off a playoff appearance.
My expectations weren’t high for this season, but this **** is embarrassing.
Probably all a ploy to make Oakland think they’re getting a Top 5 pick

Omg... SOMEBODY help Allen out. Bruh....

How embarrassing is it that we might finally have a legit franchise QB, and we can’t even play him because the OL prohibits doing so.
