They do, but they also play plenty of 330/7/8 games. Also, as I said above, college active rosters are almost twice the size. Anecdotally, I went to a noon late October game between Syracuse and Clemson. Noon start. Game time temp 95 degrees. They literally stopped the game multiple times for water breaks.

I somewhat agree, but a lot of Miami, UF, FSU home games have late afternoon/night start times. Also, college rosters are much larger than the NFL 48 man active list for Gameday. Nevermind regional scheduling. When’s the last time you saw an Ohio State play a Florida school at noon in Florida. Most of those games are played in places that are inside like Atlanta/Dallas, ie Oregon vs UGA. I went to the Utah/UF game in the swamp. It was a night game, and Utah players were still struggling even on a rainy day with lower than average temps.

It is what it is, and it’s not going to change, but people literally die from heat stroke. Southern high schools and colleges have protocols in place to deal with the heat. To have a stadium designed to amplify the heat on the opponent is pretty wild. Apparently it’s going to take an Offensive Lineman passing out on the field and being taken to the hospital in an ambulance to have the NFL being called by fans/media to step in. God forbid someone dies on the field.

Chiefs..Bills…Chargers…who had the roughest loss
SCBills replied to 78thealltimegreat's topic in The Stadium Wall
Chargers, but that was far less surprising than the Bills or Chiefs losing. People can say they believe in the Chargers.. but they don’t. Bills had the most understandable loss, but we really need to see what the injury list looks like this week, because that was a brutal game for a team that can’t really withstand many more games like that. -
Tough early season schedule is really frustrating right now. No easy landing spots. Team is health disaster and we go to Baltimore a week from today.
-
You can rotate guys on defense. Kumerow went down early.. we were down WR’s. OL don’t really rotate. Long drives, constantly in the sun, heat, humidity. Plus Miami players are better acclimated to it. Even they were having some issues.
-
When Diggs is pulling himself out of the game due to the effects of the heat, you know they are straight up not having a good time. You could see it in Allen’s face that he was gassed. He’s just a freak athlete. No idea how he put up the numbers he did on a revolving door offense playing a game in the ninth circle of hell.

Josh Allen hand injury (Allen says he's fine)
SCBills replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall
Given its Allen saying this, and not a text to someone about it, I’m sure he’s fine. His arm was definitely fatigued towards the end. Which.. obviously. We do need to develop some semblance of a running game though. It can’t be 2nd and 9 every time we run on first down. Especially against a team blitzing every play. The run game we saw against LA has turned right back into the Daboll scheme these past two games. -
NFL Week #3 - Bills at the Dolphins - Post game thread
SCBills replied to BuffaloBill's topic in The Stadium Wall
Bills Offense TOP helped the Dolphins. We needed to hit some big plays and they wouldn’t let us. Result.. time consuming drives. In the heat, by the time we got to the red zone, we were gassed. By the end of the game, half the teams bodies had given out. Defense can rotate bodies. Not so much on the OL. -
A Few Thoughts About the Dolphins Game, in no particular order
SCBills replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall
I will literally come fight anyone who slanders Josh Allen over this loss. He missed a throw. Ok.. He was an absolute monster on a revolving door offense as he had to physically withstand the hits and heat, along with mentally diagnosing blitz packages every play behind an OL that was falling apart. -
Yup. Big plays may happen more often. It is what it is. Game was lost by the Offense and their inability to handle the hot weather in relation to TOP.. It was not on the Defense.
-
Definitely did not come away from today thinking this. They were fine, and Hamlin goes back to depth when Poyer comes back.

Way too many mistakes and missed opportunities
SCBills replied to Xwnyer's topic in The Stadium Wall
Hey Josh.. Your defense is missing half their starters, it’s 96 degrees out, short week, OL is having a heat stroke, WR’s pulling themselves out after every play… How about you do less, ok? -
Bills seem to be overly cautious with guys, but it’s getting ridiculous. Armstead and Howard wouldn’t have played today if they were in Bills uniforms. I will say though, Gabe Davis did not look healthy out there. Probably dressed more as a decoy, then had to play with Kumerow getting hurt.
-
Not sure what Dorsey could really do with him. Dolphins defense kept sending blitzes and our OL was having a heat stroke.
-
James Cook looked like a weapon. The other two are just JAG running backs. Should acknowledge though.. Moss had the big run and made a big time conversion when he was dead to rights.

NFL Week #3 - Bills at the Dolphins - Post game thread

The worst part about it was game feel. Tua was rattled in that moment. Just rush 4 and he can’t stand in his gigantic pocket scanning the field without a care in the world. -
Poor coaching by McDermott is becoming a theme
SCBills replied to Einstein's topic in The Stadium Wall
I will say that watching Dorsey react made me wish he was our HC. This team is good enough to be aggressive at all times, and I don’t get the vibe from him that he’d be kicking a ton of FG’s and letting Frazier rush 3 with a secondary full of puppies out there. That said … McDermott had them ready to play. That was a gutsy effort given the circumstances. The mistakes that lost the game were player caused. -

SCBills replied to Einstein's topic in The Stadium Wall
There were two mistakes, I thought… Not going for it on 4th and 4, up 3 Rushing 3 on 3rd and long, coming off the heels of getting pressure on Tua Horrible feel for the game flow on both of those. He couldn’t foresee Bass missing the FG, but weird things like this happen when you turtle up. End of the day though.. players didn’t execute. There’s obviously reasons for that, but Allen had an open TD schemed up.. missed the throw. Gabe, looking about 50% out there, dropped a TD. Dialed up a deep shot deep in our own end and guys missed their block on Allen’s blind side and sack/fumble giving the Dolphins 1st and Goal. This game was NOT on the coaches. The rushing 3 bull**** needs to stop though. Legit losing patience for that. -
Chargers are the weirdest team every year.
-
Loved it. Not even going to explain why.. should be obvious to anyone who’s played competitive sports. Glad he’s our OC.

NFL Week #3 - Bills at the Dolphins - Post game thread
SCBills replied to BuffaloBill's topic in The Stadium Wall
Yup… they were aided by circumstance quite a bit, but their blitz strategy worked. It gave them an “and goal” situation and kept us out of the end zone multiple times. -
Still most worried by KC for the 1 seed … and they also lost today. Miami could be annoying with their easy schedule though. Not sure what to make of their offense. Our defense held up with all the injuries, but a big part of it was our Offense just dominating TOP (to our inevitable demise) Their defense was really good, imo. Maybe we smoke them with a healthy line and WR’s not dying after every play.. but they managed to blitz the life out of us AND seal up any big plays on the back end post Q1.
-
Brady is a master at those. Whether it’s OL or Allen, ours just look like a struggle bus.
-
Probably won them the game. We would’ve gotten the ball around the Miami 45 down 4 with a minute left. Instead we got it at the 25 down 2 with a minute left. With the OL a complete mess at that point, I trust Allen throwing a TD in that situation, more than I did having to work sidelines to get a FG attempt.
