Now you're onto something! Maybe the Mid-Season Bye is spread throughout the League over these TWO weeks. During those two weeks all International Games would be scheduled (even mid-week), thus reducing/eliminating the competitive advantage of travel. Following those two weeks, the entire NFL would be back on track with every team having played 9 games and make their final bye-less push to the post-season.

As mentioned above....why do the other leagues ALL do it? And my question is whether fans think it'd be a good idea. Heck the League just changed the entire look of kick-offs (an actual part of the game)! Is it so hard to imagine a tweak in the regular season schedule? Turk, it wouldn't extend the season for a week. Every team gets a bye week now.

Exactly! And international soccer has a number of league wide off weeks throughout the season during which ‘national’ teams play.

You’ll notice I didn’t ‘propose’ it as a money making scheme. I’m not sure what weather has to do with it. Every team gets a bye at some point during prime football weather. Not to mention that more and more stadiums are indoors. Besides, if the international games were played that weekend it wouldn’t be void of football.

Relax. The point is that it’s not unusual for people who visit other cities to seek out the foods that those regions are best known for. No?

I bring this up every year around this time. I’ve often thought the NFL should go to a league-wide Bye Week at this point in the season. It’d give every team the chance to regroup and heal from injuries along with allowing newly acquired trade deadline free agents to acclimate to their new teams. They could even work in the international games on the week before, during, or after so as to minimize the impact and competitive advantage caused by jet lag. The fans would get a mid-season bye for Halloween and family time during an ever elongated season. And most years this week would be the World Series. Besides, I absolutely hate the fact with a staggered bye everyone has to look at the Standings with a bit of a squinted eye.

What’s so odd about this? Virtually every week there’s a debate on here about where to get the best pizza, wings, or beef on weck. Ya don’t think that the players enjoy the diverse food scene from the various cities they play in? I’d think it’s one of the cooler things about playing in a major sports league. Do you want Josh to go to McDonald’s when the team plays in London?

For what it’s worth…I often listened to the national MNF radio broadcast while traveling for work. Brady always did a call in interview at halftime. I was honestly shocked that his personality seemed completely different from the ultra competitive d-bag he acted like on the field.

The fatal flaw that eventually sank Darnold at USC was his propensity to throw the ball to the OTHER team his senior year. That was ignored in the Draft. Looking at his stats at the halfway point of the season, he’s definitely settled down and turned that around.

You have to remember that the stadium is essentially a bowl, meaning that the lower rows have a tighter radius. So as you go up each successive row has more seats. Now, I’m not saying that it’s actually 50% but you cannot look at a single cross section and declare the figure to be inaccurate.
