In the 1973 season opener in Foxboro, OJ took off on the opening series of the game for an 80 yard power pitch/sweep play around the right tackle, and I can still remember looking around and everyone in the room saying “THIS is going to be something really special” …and it truly was. He was literally unstoppable.

Not trying to be snarky but I’m interested to know if you were of age to witness OJs 1973 season. What he did that year was at that time considered to be akin to landing a man on mars. (And again I thought the purpose of this was about a single athlete, not team production or results)

The entire Rodgers saga is a real messy situation for Packer faithful. Seems like a dysfunctional marriage where dad keeps threatening to walk out every few weeks. When Rodgers looks back on his career, I’m guessing he’s going to wish he had done things differently.

It’s funny you mentioned those comments right after the Super Bowl ended. I watched virtually none of the postgame coverage but I did see Reid say that, and thought to myself….geez that’s an odd thing to say at that moment.

Thanks Colorado Pretty amazing how much turnover there is year over year, and the vast majority comes in free agency. By the time they get to camp just about all of the roster spots are set in stone, with the infamous ‘camp battles’ coming down to just a couple of special team reserves who’ll rarely contribute much of anything.
