I’m good on watching the packers.  I’ll take your word for it.  Look forward to seeing our new number four corner

So you know he's only good enough to be a backup, despite claiming to not know anything about him...am I getting this right?

I'm hearing "WAAAHHH WE DIDN'T GET GUY IIIIIIIIII WANTED!"

Why are we rushing 4 guys in these situations is absurd to me.

Put 9 guys back there.  Rush 2.  Should have been doing that from play 1 of the Bucs last possession.

It's literally to prevent a Mighty Ducks Flying V formation of 300+ pound offensive linemen plowing a path to the endzone for Baker through all those smaller DBs flooding the back end.  Have to at least throw a few guys at the O-line to keep them honest and maintain the numbers advantage for the jump ball.

say what you will about Taylor, but Josh yelling Taylor Swift, Taylor Swift at the line during the Bucs game was my highlight of the night

There was a poll that showed 97% of people hears him say JR Smith.  The other 3% are apparently weird Swift fans or trolls...

I didn't even know who JR Smith was and I distinctly remember going "Who is JR Smith, some basketball player I assume?" when it happened live.  It was that obvious to me what he was saying.

Because it's just another example of inexplicable officiating.  Did it change the outcome of the game?  No.  Was I worked up about it at the time?  No.  Was it the right call?  No.

It is good for officials to call a clean game and bad when they don't.

How does losing your punter to a rightful ejection in the 1st quarter NOT affect the game?  I'll never understand people pulling "it didn't affect the game" just because it wasn't the literal last deciding play of the game or something.  Butterfly Effect, things change.

Ahhh, let’s be serious. There is zero chance a guy wearing a Ridell helmet is hurt by some other dudes bare hand.

Ahhh YOU be serious.  Throwing a punch is an AUTOMATIC ejection no matter what helmet the other guy is wearing.

Yeah Josh does do that, but the only one of those I can say is from this season is the Patriots one at the start, and sure he definitely sold it. But the defender made a dumb decision hitting Josh up high like that late, that's going to bite you on the ass.

Yeah I don't get how people don't understand going for high hits late is a gamble.  These guys are getting greedy and going for the high strip, where it turns into feast or famine of pass deflection/fumble if it connects vs smart QB snapping their head back and getting a free penalty if they miss.  Josh is so good at powering out of sacks that guys are going after the ball instead, and ANY QB with 2 brain cells to rub together would embellish a little when defenders get sloppy with throwing hands up in their faces.

KC constantly gets a defensive holding to their benefit to extend the drive.

Curiously it always seems to be on 3rd or 4th down. An unusual number of Mahomes interceptions seem to come back on a flag as well. Even if you aren’t into conspiracies, that dude has a horseshoe up his rear.

And of course there was the defensive holding that gave KC the Super Bowl last season. It all felt so familiar.

42 minutes ago, The Wiz said:

Mahomes had 19 dropped interceptions last year and I can think of at least 4 INTs that were reversed because of defensive holding this year alone.

I think he's got a whole horse up there, not just the shoe.

Curiously, at least last year, Mahomes rarely ever pulled a DPI it was all (a league leading amount of) holdings and illegal contacts.  Aside from 6 inch shovel passes basically being impossible to interfere with, DPI is a high profile and visible penalty that will get scrutinized (see our Giants and Bucs finishes).  Defensive holding/IC by definition happens away from the play and can be thrown as a bailout on basically any play without much scrutiny.  Weird how KC is considered to have a weak WR corps, but they just apparently keep burning defenders so bad they keep holding...

Hunter Henry also bowled over our defenders in coverage down at the goal line freeing up their receiver for a TD with no OPI called on their very obvious pick play.

Murray picks a guy to free Knox and the offensive PI flag was thrown.

Neutral zone infraction on Torrence a guard. Diggs getting obviously mugged on his routes. A phantom DPI call on 3rd and long to extend a NE scoring drive...

We played bad, but the officiating was horrible all game long.

They are not mutually exclusive things, both can be true. In that game, I left feeling we got the short end of the officiating stick.

All I ask is that if they are going to call ticky-tacky or phantom penalties on one team they need to call them on the other too.

I hate a flag fest, but if the laundry is going to fly call it the same for both sides.

On our OPI, it looked to me like the NE defender threw himself in front of Murray to be knocked down, like a basketball defender trying to draw a charging foul.  Murray was denied the right to run his route, but the defender sold the contact better.

As for the picked up ineligible man downfield, definite "make up call" from earlier.

I dont care about the D.  They are missing too many players. They aren't going to make stops every series.  I care about the offense.  That was a bad read from Josh. They had two bad weeks already.  They need to get their ***** together.

How about stops on ANY series?

They would have to score a TD regardless ! Forget about the 2 point conversion. They would need to go 90 yards instead of working from damn near mid field. I thought it was absolutely idiotic.

No, it doesn't work like that.  The 2 point conversion was exactly why they made the choice they did, so of course if you throw out the entire reason they did what they did it will seem senseless.  The Giants hadn't scored a TD since the Bronze Age, and already demonstrated poor clock management and an inability to punch it in from inside the 5 during the first half.  They gambled field advantage to try to force that TD challenged team to have to punch it in ON CONSECUTIVE PLAYS.  Any team at any time can bust out a fluke long TD, so they wanted to protect against a fluke TD that would be an automatic loss regardless of it being from 60 or 75-90 yards out.  Top defenses get burned on single play sometimes.  But good luck beating that top defense twice in a row.

  10. Q - What do you call the person with the lowest grade from medical school?

    A - Doctor.

Good teams find a way to win, sometimes even when at their worst.  Fortunately the refs weren't completely against us like they have been in recent years to tip the scales to an L.  We were in the same kind of "bad but should have won" game a couple years ago against the Jags where the refs blatantly tipped the favor towards the then-bad Jags, resulting in a loss that "didn't deserve to win anyways".  Would you be happier if we lost vs the Giants?  Some people clearly would be...

Congratulations to everyone who picked the Bills, well done!  With the final score of Bills 14, NJ Giants 9, the winners are:

    Gold - @BuffaloBillies 21-12 for a total difference of 10 points

    Silver - @arcane 24-10 for a total difference of 11 points

    Bronze - @corta765 23-14 for a total difference of 14 points

    See you all next week.

I am awarding myself an honorable mention point for at least nailing the Giants scoring 9 points lol.

Since this makes absolutely no sense, I’ll have to assume that this is an “insider” covering up for passing on bad info.

The insider being Fournette himself?  What part about it makes no sense?  It sounds plausible to me.

Sounds like the Bills chose a PS Squad player who they think has potential and knows playbook at least somewhat  instead of an accomplished playoff performer, good pass blocking back and good receiving back.

    I'm disappointed, but oh well

Also cheaper.  We don't have cap, gotta promote from within.

Outside of 2 plays that gained 56 yards and only resulted in a FG, we held Barkley to 37 yards on 22 carries (1.7avg). And then shut that trap play down with a LB adjustment, and the RBs didnt gain a single yard the rest of the game.

We didnt get shredded, and the defense isnt the problem.

Same as when the sky was falling after losing to the Steelers in preseason.  We got "shredded" by a team that did the bulk of their damage on 2 plays in short order, and Jack all the rest of the game.

Guy can’t call a decent offense. We saw it all game that running the ball from under center was working. Why abandon that so quickly.

Heck, Daboll seemed to run the same play 5 times in a row in the second drive of the second half. If it works, keep using it.

Josh in the gun on then 1 inch line is inexcusable.

Ken can’t adjust and has been a bad OC since the second half of the GB game last year. He needs to go ASAP

Oh God thanks for reminding me about shotgun inside the 1.  We have possibly the best QB sneaker in history and I don't remember the last time a sneak was called.
