  1. So you are "really concerned" about our depth, but admit you have no idea who they are?  Is that worth making a thread about?

There was one of these fake quotes  about Jalen Waddle and how there are penguins in Buffalo or something

I was going to mention the fake Waddle "quote" about him wanting to play for Buffalo some day.  At least our fanbase's new method of trolling with fake quotes is more clever than Miami's "lulz we have more Super Bowls than you" that is about 90% of their trolling attempts.

Did you guys read the article? The running game wasn’t the issue on the goaline. It was Josh’s inability to find an open man despite having much longer time than Mahomes. Dorsey either needs to get more creative, but or Allen needs to put more work in to being better with this part of the game.

Do you really not understand how Josh having to scramble for 83 seconds might pad the "time to throw" averages a bit?

It's also really unfair to compare him to Mahomes, who is infamous for his 6 inch "shovel passes" driving down his time to throw and driving up his completion percentage.  Anything to stay atop the passing charts I guess.

And if Torrence starts, it means he outplayed Bates and that's an upgrade at that position over last year.  And if Brown is recovered from back surgery, it's an upgrade there as well.

Or since the best ability is availability, they value Bates' availability as a top tier backup at several different positions more than they value him being a marginal upgrade at a single position as a starter.

It's obvious they want Torrence to be starter and Bates backup center. He held his own. Kincaid was in first 2 series, maybe they wanted to keep him under wraps a bit because he was invisible.

Backup O line a disaster. Pray no injuries.  Middle D bad against run. I'd like to see Daquan and Poona in there early downs. Let Oliver be pass downs or move him around, he gets plowed.

Allen has good arm but I see what they have been saying during camp. Bad decisions , looks jumpy. Frankly if Josh out a game I'd rather see Barkley, he was terrific today.

Isabella flashed! Reminds me of young Beasley.  Keep him. Shavers flashed, love his length. Harty is TINY! Yikes, but I can see how he could be explosive in open field.

All in all a decent performance.  Next week we get to see the closest to what the week 1 Bills will look like.

I agree I want to see more of Isabella, but I wasn't sold on Shavers after the pick six and followup drop.

  6. I only happened to tune in at the 2 minute warning, but they just showed the face mask he got earlier and holy crap lol.  Then again if that's a Chiefs player ripping Josh's face off it probably doesn't get called, like that uncalled tripping last year.

So Diggs was one of the little people last year but not this year?  Is that why he was mad he wasn't involved this off season?

I can see the clickbait "Buffalo is in shambles" headlines now...

"Diggs rages against little people at local supermarket."

These are Texas laws if one gets caught selling heroine, cocaine, or another “group 1” drug:

To put 200 grams into perspective, it basically measures out to a cup and a half. Ruggs killed a woman, she and her dog burned alive, but he’ll do far less time than someone caught trying to sell a cup and a half worth of cocaine. Something seems very wrong with that picture.

To put the sentences into perspective, burning a woman to death from drunk driving only carries a 50% higher minimum sentence than selling ONE GRAM of cocaine.

FFS.  Just F Christ's FS.  A woman (and her dog) are dead.  And you think he 'just' got wasted and deserves a second chance. 🤨

That woman and her dog deserve a second chance, but they're not going to get it.  So neither should he.

The kid can catch - he's 6'4 250 and has huge hands.  He didn't run at the combine but he looks the Ertz part.  Knox is a solid player in that 50-75 target range, and his rookie year drops seem to have mostly been fixed.  2 athletic tight ends, one in line, one you can move around more, it can create mismatches and favorable run fits.

I don't know what else you really want in a pass catcher on offense.  Speed i guess is the name of the game right now, but i'll take hands and a student of the game over that in most cases.

For some reason reminded me of my other point I forgot to mention.  I think another reason for this obsession with believing Beane didn't really want Kincaid is that this offseason more than any other in memory, people are DESPERATE for there to be problems in Buffalo.  They need to believe our window is closing and will grasp at any and all straws to maintain that delusion.  Confirmation bias everywhere.

    - Beane didn't make a savvy move to get ahead of Dallas to take the TE he couldn't believe fell that far thanks to a run on WRs, he really is just a bad GM who panicked and wasted resources when the WRs he actually wanted were gone and he had to grasp at whatever best option was left.

    - The Diggs "situation" isn't a big nothing burger that happens all the time, it's a sure sign he wants out of Buffalo and hates being here, trade is imminent.

    - Josh Allen having a life outside of football including (gasp) having relationships isn't a normal part of life, it's a sign he'll be distracted and not committed to winning.  Playing golf is also ruining his arm.

    - The Bills not fully compensating the contracts of Hines (off work accident) and Araiza (found to be innocent a year past no longer being with the team) aren't just how business in the NFL works, it's proof of the Bills being a scum organization that doesn't have their players' backs.

    - Elam having to fight for the CB2 spot isn't a good problem to have in that our late rounders were hidden gems outplaying their status, he's just trash and another Beane draft bust.

    - Etc etc etc with basically anything involving the Bills this offseason.

Doing deals to trade UP, and giving up assets in the process, in order to get "that 1 guy that you really like" is fundamentally BAD BUSINESS and not how to proceed, long term.

Beane likes doing this, which is one of his few weak points.

We'll hopefully find out what Kincaid is about this year, assuming McDermott will play him a ton, which he should.

You think the later round pick we gave up would have done more for us long term than upgrading our 1st rounder to the...(checks notes)...top pass catcher in the draft class who was generally considered to be a top 10 pick?

You're right, trading up in the 1st to "get our guy" really didn't work out long term with...(checks notes)...Josh Allen.

  11. I still find it mind boggling how seemingly still nobody around the league can fathom the idea of Beane actually wanting Kincaid.  They keep saying he panicked when there was the run on WRs he actually wanted and scrambled to grab what pass catcher was left.  I think everyone is still hung up on the TE label Kincaid has.  We gave a big money extension to Knox, so nobody can wrap their heads around us wanting another "just a TE".  They can understand goal line/bruiser vs speed vs pass catcher RBs, pass rush vs run stuffing vs coverage LBs, but all TEs are exactly the same and "heavy slot" is just too bizarre a concept for them.

  12. Reg season loss to the Jaguars a couple seasons ago is criminally underrated as a "worst officiated game ever" candidate.  Jags got away with no less than 3 uncalled obvious false starts on one (I think scoring) drive alone.  I'm talking the right tackle repeatedly being a full yard or more off his starting position by the time the ball is snapped.  I wholly admit we didn't play our best game, but the Jags still needed the mother of all striped advantages to capitalize on that.

  13. Elam having to compete for CB2 is a GOOD problem to have.  It's not because Elam sucks, it's because both Jackson and Benford have outperformed their draft status.

Imagine complaining about having 4 starting quality outside CBs plus possibly the best slot CB in the league.
