  1. Draft bust Luke Joeckel just got 8M on a 1 yr deal. Getting above average players in FA for discounts is tough. But with the cap going up 10M/yr for the next few yrs it should turn out alright. For example Hughes deal looks great now compared to what Nick Perry re-signed for (5/60).
  2. So Aaron Williams money basically. And only 26, fills a need. Hard not to like it.
  3. Sal Capaccio ‏Verified account @SalSports 1m1 minute ago More Sal Capaccio Retweeted Buffalo Bills That is a terrific signing for the Bills. Extremely versatile DB. Has played S, CB, nickel. Exactly what we needed. Now have flexibility to go BPA in the secondary whether its a CB or S in the draft.
  4. They still have $55M to spend on good players. They aren't winning a SB this year anyways and they can cut Brock next year with zero dead cap. Browns did well here.
  5. DeAndre Levy to be released. Would he be a fit at OLB here? Or is he more of an inside guy? Or is he too far past his prime to even consider?
  6. Most of our signings are cheap. Should have money to fill a hole or 2 before the draft. Tyrod restructure- frees up $6M Tolbert- 1y/$1M DiMarco- 2M/yr Hauschka- probably $2-3M? Ducasse sucks so hopefully nothing more than $3M per. Cutting Aaron and Easly frees up 2.5M. I would look to sign a RT (Reiff?) and a speedy OLB (Z. Brown gone already? If yes then someone similar). Whatever allows us to focus on S/CB/WR in the draft. Edit: Maybe a vet S like Byrd would be a good guy to take a flier on too.
  7. If Hooker is gone I hope we trade down and get another pick. Then target the best DB or WR available.
  8. Ed Werder‏Verified account @Edwerderespn Follow More #Bills HC Sean McDermott saved Tyrod Taylor as team's QB. Been w/ Donovan McNabb, Cam Newton. Sees some similarities in skill set With regards to what Prisco said about Whaley giving him the contract... if you looked back at the quotes Whaley said after Taylor's 1st year as starter, he was in no hurry to sign him to an extension. He wanted to wait out another year for more information before making a longeterm decision. Then the extension comes out of nowhere, I'm guessing from pressure from either ownership or coaching staff. Anyways, Whaley deserves credit for getting a restructure done. I would have liked to wait to see if we had a shot at Romo first, but assuming we didn't then I guess it was our best option for a stop gap.
