  1. ME: Perry Tuttle

    YOU: Who?

    ME: Exactly

Two seasons in Buffalo, 16 games (4 games started) 24 receptions, 368 yards, 3 TDs

    Beyond Buffalo-

Tampa Bay --- 3 games (0 games started) 0 receptions

    Atlanta --------- 5 games (0 games started) 1 reception, 7 yards

End of career. Worst 1st round pick ever.

Tuttle was the 1st I fought of too. I guess we're dating ourselves.

Maybin and Flowers are runners-up though.

  2. It feels like a whole new team this year. Rex was all about Rex. McDermott is all business - almost the antiRex. I like that there are no headlines about the Bills right now.

And the way they're handling FA seems smart. No big dollar signings just to sell tickets. Just steady and unspectacular depth building.

  3. not beating my chest. If you look around the league their arent really any dominant players. They may have dominant games here and there, but not really on a consistant basis. Unless they get a string of bad teams. In todays nfl dominant players get schemed out of the game. I see BB do it every week

I got banned for no ther reason than im a Pats fan.

You got banned for being the Hope Police. Every time a Bills fan expressed even a small amount of optimism, you'd jump right in to remind them of how inept we've been and how wonderful the Pats are.

And there are certainly dominant players. Hightower is very good, but overpaid as of today.

  4. People are going bananas over the Pats offseason. It looks fine on paper, but it's pretty strange for them. It's what teams like the Fins and Eagles usually do.

They do have a 40 year old QB. Not saying they won't be great - but you never know when the wheels are going to fall off.

And Hightower is a bit overrated. He has made some clutch plays, but gets hurt a lot and isn't dominant.

  5.

Thinking Brady only has two years left is wishful and naive.

If they don't trade Jimmy, I think that's exactly what Belichick is thinking. He may even be thinking 1 more year.

Maybe they're just posturing for a better trade offer, but I'm starting to get pretty worried about JG. I had thought a trade this offseason was inevitable.

It actually wouldn't shock me now to see the Pats win another SB, and then see BB trade Brady to some desperate team for a boatload of picks, so that they can get 1 or 2 years out of him & the Pats can load up for another decade.

  6.

Agreed...Rings is a flawed measure, I am not saying Brady is the greatest because of rings alone. I see Brady as the GOAT because he not only has more rings, but because he got them playing with less talent and in tougher conditions. If he wins the SB again next year, and they are a favorite going in, it will be the SECOND time he has lead a team to a SB win in 3 out of 4 years and will have played in a SB in 8 out of his 16 seasons, which is 1 every 2 years (it will be his 17th season, but remember he missed an entire season with a knee injury, so he's only played on the field 15 seasons).

Speaking of injury, he came back from a devastating knee injury in his 30's to play in 4 more SB's and win 3 of them.

Yeah, I agree overall. Montana was as clutch, and really was Joe Cool. I love that John Candy story from the Super Bowl.

But Brady has a different quality. Obviously clutch, but more like the terminator. Scarier. He gets that look in his eye - just hates losing with a passion.

I watched the SB with some non-Bills fans who don't see the Pats as much, and they were all celebrating at 28-3. But I knew better.

  7.

Except for the fact that the 49er rosters of the Montana era were substantially more talented than any of the Pats SB teams on both sides of the ball...including 3 of the greatest to ever play their respective positions in Montana, Lott, and Rice. Not to mention other HOF players, revolutionary players, and very talented guys at many of the key positions. I grew up in Nor Cal during that ERA, those rosters were stacked.

Montana came pretty close to 5 also.

I saw both play. I still have Brady as the goat. I just think rings is a flawed measure.

  8.

Cherry Picking? HUH...have you never heard of Bill Walsh? Only considered one of the best ever and many still believe the best ever who revolutionized and changed football forever with his West Coast offense.

Even if you want to say BB is #1, Walsh would still be in consideration for #1 and easily be top candidate for #2...So the argument would be that Brady had a slight edge at HC while Montana played with the GOAT WR, revolutionary RB's, Taylor, Brent, Clark, and a great OL his whole career where Brady won 5 SBs with Brown, Branch, Edelman, Hogan. LMAO, not even a comparison.

Walsh is a good counter - but he really isn't BB. Maybe as a coach he is close, but not as gm. Just look at this offseason. The Pats are practically guaranteed a ring, even if Brady declines.

  9. Yeah, sadly the Brady/Manning debate ended when Brady got ring #4 IMO

Now it just sounds silly. Almost as silly as those people who say every year that Rogers is the best QB in the league when they never do anything in the playoffs.

How many rings would Brady have if McCarthy had been his coach this whole time?

How many ring would Belichivk have if Rodgers had been his QB?

  10.

I'm with you....Brady >>> Manning...and it's not even close.....remember also, Brady was a missed xtra point away to bring the 2015 AFC Championship to OT in Denver...vs that incredible D............or how Manning crumbled in the SB vs Seattle, putting up 8 pts...then the very next year, Brady put up 28....Butler made the play of course, but being down 10 pts vs that D and coming back is telling ...I couldn't imagine Manning making that comeback....or vs Atlanta this year....

The entire legion of boom needed surgery when the 4th quarter started. Not the same D that Manning faced.

  11. Lets play a round of Questions:

    1. Who are the elite WR's and RB's Brady played most his career with and won 5 SB's with? NONE except 1 SB win with Gronk.

    2. Who are the elite WR's, TE's and RB's Montana played most his career with and won 4 SB's with? GOAT Rice, Taylor, Clark, Jones, Craig, Waters

    3. Who are the elite WR's, TE's, and RB's Manning played with most his career and won 2 SB's with? HOF Harrison, possible future HOF Wayne, EDGE, Clark, Thomas, Welker, Thomas.

What kind of weather did each play most their home careers in:

    1. Brady - Awful outside conditions for 16 years in New England plus games in bad weather divisional stadiums twice a year.

    2. Montana - Sunny CA with some occasional rain.

    3. Manning - Cushy dome with a short stop in Denver.

Brady won 3 SB titles in 4 seasons throwing to scrubs who couldn't make it as starters on other teams. He's now won 2 in the last 3 despite having an underwhelming cast of skill players not named Gronk and Gronk didn't even play in the post season during this years SB run. And now Brady is the hands down favorite to win again next year which would be the SECOND time he would have won 3 SB's in 4 seasons if he does.

I wont make a stink about people putting Montana up there, because before Brady he was the GOAT IMO. But Brady crushes Manning who accomplished far less with more riches of talent around him. Even Manning's 2nd SB title, they won INSPITE of Manning who put up the single worst performance of a QB of all the winners in SB history after being one of the lowest rated passers in the NFL all that season. So much so Trevor almost took his job.

You're cherry picking and ignoring the biggest factor of all - Brady played under the greatest coach of all time.

  12. I don't get the Manning love...he was absolutely great in the regular season...but man, when the pressure was on, he, more often than not , crumbled miserably.....9 times he had a 1 and done...9!

We can't also ignore the fact the for most of his career, he played in a cozy dome.....that certainly helped the stats....

And finally, his 2nd SB was on the back of a great Denver defense.....he was one of the worst QB in the NFL that year.....

It's a team game. I remember most of those playoff exits, and only a few were on Manning. He didn't often get much help, and played under 5 different coaches.

I still think Brady is the goat, but too much is made of the ring count. Brady wouldn't have 5 on another team, and BB wouldn't only have 2 if Manning was his QB this whole time.
