The next two years are over before they start due to Pats. It stinks but it's true...that's why Tyrod should not be here
You never know. I'm one of the homers that had been predicting Brady's demise for years. I won't do it anymore.
That said, the guy will be 40. Sure, he could win 2 more super bowls. But the wheels could come off fast too.
The bills just have to keep fighting and improving. Be ready when it happens.

I'm with you......Hopefully, JG gets traded.....
BTW, nice to see you here...I get a strong feeling we'll need your positive outlook the next 2-3 year....
Thanks! I ditched the "future". I want success now!
Good to see you and many of the other refugees here. I like this place - better discussion so far
-
That offense will be hard to contain.....if Gronk stays healthy, no AFC team will come close....and their D is solid....here comes their 15th division title, 12 AFCCG, 8th SB.....6 Lombardi.....groundhog day........yawn....business as usual in Foxboro....
The nightmare will end eventually...right ?...it has to......
This is why I want jimmy traded. I have made peace with the pats dominating under Brady. But 10 more years?
No way. Don't let me down Cleveland
-
You know, Pats fans are going bananas rite now. But it probably won't be as exciting on draft weekend.
People are going overboard. Cooks isn't jones or fitz
-
You can't back down and not try because of the Pats. Seems to me that they are going all out knowing that Brady and Belichick likely have 1-2 years left. Why tank because of them?(As if tanking ever works in football). Buffalo can still get a wildcard and build on that. Miami was a mess in 2015 and managed to do that. If Brady and Bellichek retire and Buffalo is coming off of a couple winning seasons, that is much better for us that if we are "rebuilding" at the time
Bring the right guys in for the new system and play to win,
Love the post. Never stop fighting.
Pats going all in with a guy who is 40. As we all know, it can work. But everyone is in uncharted waters here. Cooks won't get them to the show without Brady staying upright and playing close to peak for 16+ games

Brandin Cooks, Gronk, Edelman, Hogan, Mitchell, James White, Dion Lewis, Dwayne Allen. Good luck defending those pass catchers.
Take Gronk out of there - and what are the chances he lasts the season - and that's a pretty average corps on any other team
-
They're going all in and it's annoying, but they are one hard hit to a 40 year old for every one of these moves to be in vain
-
Thanks Corey.
Glad to see the overhaul though. That unit has underachieved

BB always trades like this - he never actually loses a pick.
As with everything, it seems so simple, yet few others copy it
-
Hogwash. It was Pats who started the rumour of Jimmy G commanding 1st and 2nd round picks. They want to trade him. Why do you think there's still talk? If Cleveland trades a boatload of picks for Jimmy G, then that's the Nets-Celtics trade V2. The whole friggin League should BLOCK that trade.
Jimmy is real. Also real FRAGILE. He got injured what? into his third game? Look at his size and his escapability. I bet ya if Jimmy G becomes #1 QB in NE we play him once a year, not twice.
It's a good point. And he may turn out that way which would be a big change for them. Brady has been so durable.
But if he can stay healthy and is as good as I think, it will break me if he stays with the pats.
-
Jimmy is for real. I don't care if Cleveland trades this years #1 and a first next year - I want that guy out of New England.
Teams can have amazing linemen and cb's and wr's and not even make the playoffs - we've been like that. Qb's make the difference
-
Thanks for this. Nice to have a new home.
-
I don't know why anyone is worried right now. They did the right thing with Taylor, and with clearing some cap space. Good fa signings so far.
I keep seeing 17 years, but that's meaningless. The Pegulas are new. McDermott is new. And I love everything I've seen from him so far.
This is a good team with lots of talent on both sides. Rex was just terrible
-
At least he's not a Patriot.
-
Well, what a happy morning this is in Western NY.
-
Thanks, Aaron - you played w/ HUGE heart. Such bad luck on the injuries.
This is the smart move.
-
Isn't it the case that the Pats HAVE to fill up space to meet the league minimum? IIRC, they went into FA with $60 million in cap space.
Oh, man - just reading that.
First world problems, for sure.
-
Salas is a FA
I was not aware of that. Still, can't imagine that the market for him will be too competitive.
Regardless, I think we're more okay at WR than most. If we can't re-sign Salas, I'm sure they'll move to get someone else - but I don't see us needing to spend a high-round pick on a guy.
-
I really don't get people holding fan opinion in higher regard that of the coaching staff of a championship team.
Well, I don't hold it in higher regard, and I also don't question BB. He has earned the benefit of the doubt and then some.
But he is overpaying a bit this time. He can afford to, but their cap space just got a bit smaller.
-
Moves like like this. Watkins, keeping schlubs like Eric wood, trading for McCoy, and really just doing all we can to be mediocre makes me care less and less about this stupid team. They make dumb football decisions.
That's a real mix. For starters, Watkins is great, and Wood is very good. And the trade for McCoy was fantastic.
-
If it's any consolation, the reaction on the Pats board I frequent seems to be pretty "m'eh." They know Gilmore is good, but are kind of shocked by the price tag.
-
They did the same with Revis. It worked out well for them. Revis was great in 2014.
Well, Revis was at the top of his game at that point - arguably the top CB in the league.
At this point, I don't question BB anymore. I've said so many times "this is it! This is the one he screwed up!", only to have it turn out to be a genius move. But right now, it's kind of a head-scratcher - just not his m.o. to overpay like this.
-
If we got Cook, adding a WR becomes a bit less necessary.
We really were just hit pretty bad w/ injuries last year. Watkins is back, & Hunter looked like he was developing nicely. Salas was actually a pretty good WR before he got hurt - definitely a decent #3 guy. Listenbee should be able to finally play. If they find a way to keep Woods, they could really stand pat. If not, they'd still be okay w/ a later round draft pick or inexpensive FA.
-
We offered him what $12 million, we could have afforded the other $2 million; especially since we will have plenty of cap space next year and even more holes to fill. We aren't the team that can afford to allow our "good" younger players to walk or trade our vets right before they decline. I like what we did with Clements, we let him walk at the right time. We screwed the pooch with Antoine Winfield & Pat Williams. We let a good first round player leave for nothing...
I don't know - the Pats are paying a top 20 corner the 2nd highest CB salary ever (or so it appears). It's very un-BB like.
I'd rather we save some $ to try to keep someone like Watkins, who is a genuine top 5 kind of talent, imo.

I don't know - the Pats are getting a lot of hype for this offseason, but it's very "unPatriots." Usually, the Bills, Dolphins & Jets are making these kinds of splashy moves...and where has that gotten those 3 teams?
The Pats also lost Ryan, Bennett, Volmer, et al, and could still lose Hightower, Blount & Butler. They just got a deep ball guy yesterday for a QB who doesn't have a good deep ball, and are overpaying for a very good but not elite CB.
Maybe this is actually the year they blinked? They're going all in for a 40 year old QB who might be a hit away from retirement.
And some of their big moves won't look as exciting on draft day, while they're watching other teams pick the 1st few rounds.
Meanwhile, I like what the Bills have done - a lot. They've dumped players whose contracts don't match their value, cleared cap space & signed valuable (if not splashy) contributors & depth. I'm excited about the season. I just want the Bills to have a competitive team, and to be ready when the wheels finally do fall off the evil empire.
