Zay you, Zay me.
That one is going out to the old timers.
-
Zay and Tre! Stoked about this draft. The rest is gravy
-
Scouting friend thinks Holmes better than Zay Jones this year. Maybe Zay overtakes at some point.
I'm good with that. Feels like the wr corps is so much better than a few months ago
-
Trading up to reach for another receiver. Watkins 2.0.
this guy is as good as Watkins? Awesome
-
We got 2 day 1 starters at positions of need.
I'm good.
-
Tony Luke's - they bake their own rolls. But for overall experience, probably Pat's.
And no cheez whiz!
-
The more we lean on that the more we'll see the Pats get an Aaron Rodger 2.0 to replace Brady at the perfect time.
I was really holding out hope garoppo would get traded yesterday.
Watch bb franchise him next year. No one thinks he'll pay 2 Qb's that much, but I think he sees Jimmy as the future.

Winfield 99', Clements 01', Whitner 06', McKelvin 08', Gilmore 12' - We've seen this movie before.
That's a pretty good flick. Not sure what you're trying to say here.
Because we have drafted great cb's in the 1st, we should stop drafting cb's in the 1st?
-
I start from the premise that the Bills obviously need to get better than they were last year to realistically compete this year, and there's really no sane argument that that is going to happen when the draft is all done.
I continue with the premise that adding rookie talent in 2018 isn't a recipe for immediate success. And I conclude with the premise that Bills management must, therefore, realistically (even if they can't say it for PR/Pegula reasons) think that 2019 at the earliest is the target.
Not a single premise there is supportable. Saying that the idea that this draft can improve the team isn't sane really defies logic. Because we got a great CB who nan start, and may pick up another starter or 2 today?
Bad thread.

Explain please.
By some accounts I've read, White really isn't that far from Lattimore in talent, and as a 4 year starter is more nfl ready than quite a few guys picked ahead of him.
How are we conceding the season by trading down for an immediate starter at a position of need, and adding another likely '17 starter in the process? That's quite a conclusion you arrived at there.
-
I completely disagree with the sentiment that the Bills concede that they're not a playoff team because of the trade down.
No logic to it, at all.
-
Their schedule is brutal. Keep that pick.
-
Pats might be a bad example for you because they have had one of the greatest QBs of all time.
Agreed, but they still overcome injuries better than just about anyone, and always have great depth.
-
Wrong.
Please expound.
Literally, that is what the pats have done for years. It's why they are one of the best teams at overcoming injuries.
But I'm interested to hear what case you can present.
-
Silly.
Personally, I'm looking forward to our extra pick today, and having 2 first rounders next year. As well as a guy who might be pretty close to as good as Lattimore.
-
Gilmore wasn't worth what the pats are paying.
Glad they didn't overpay him regardless.

The Internet age has really complicated drafts. Fans read mocks and watch YouTube for a month or 2, and it leads to a sort of false sense of who should go where, and who the Bills "should" take at a given position.
It's just not like that. I'm not discounting that some may put in serious time and really know their stuff. But even with those guys, it's a small fraction of what scouts and decision makers put in.
-
Chiefs.
Without hesitation.
-
Tackling a concern for White. Smh.
It was for Deion Sanders too.
That's literally the only major weakness that was consistently pointed out in scouting reports posted online.
-
I think I figured put why I'm disgruntled. I don't mind having White. He looks like a good fit for the system. It fills a hole, and he should be able to compete immediately and likely win the starting job.
The problem is, that's what you say about the second and third round pick. We made a conscious choice to move out of the range of high impact players for a good player.
I'm not saying it's the wrong choice, it's just that White looks like a second round pick that we took at the back of the first.
He had some 1st round grades, but regardless, that was part of the reason for the trade. And as others have said, it's what the pats usually do.
Better to have a few very good players instead of one great player.
-
I got a page and a half into this thread and was infuriated. The Bills finally do something we always praise the Patriots for, trade down...acquire picks and pick a solid need player...then they get roundly criticized for not making a "sexy" pick and not acquiring more. Unbelievable.
We won the trade and made a great pick. On to day 2.
Amen.

I don't dislike White but I cannot understand passing on Foster. LB a huge hole on this team and one of the hardest positions to fill in FA. It could have been one amazing night lucking into Foster. Instead we got a pick at 27 that should be around 27 - so I guess that 3rd round pick better be real good. We're going to watch Foster for a very long time with nothing but regret. I now feel like McDermott is in over his head a little bit on the personnel side. He's a good coach and I'm happy to have him but he needs to learn to be a head coach first - instead of taking on everything.
He'll learn a valuable lesson tonight when he sees he got in his own way.
That sounds a little too certain.
I doubt McDermott will give even one more thought to Foster, until the Bills have to play against him.

A lot of ppl liked Darby and got that cb was a need.
The new question is do we extend Darby next offseason or is white groomed to be his replacement
Can't speak for this board, but bbmb blew up when Darby was picked. And not in a good way.
-
To the critics - what do you base it on?
Kiper's "big board"?
