  1. This guy is where he needs to be.

I lived in a townhouse for 18 months during covid.  A guy that lived a building down was arrested on a sting operation for child pornography.  He was released on bail and the HOA couldn't do anything about it.  Because he wasn't on the lease, his sister who he lived with was and he hadn't been convicted yet.  Courts were delayed because of Covid and they couldn't legally have him removed until he was officially sentenced in court.  Insane in the membrane.

Good player but he seems to replicate skillsets we have on the roster. I think he will ultimately do a lot of his damage in the NFL from the slot. He is a bit like Samuel he can do some outside stuff and be moved around the formation but he isn't going to be a game wrecking outside receiver. He is going to be a guy who lines up all over catches the ball and gets some YAC. I don't think you have much diversity in your receiving corps with a 30 year old Diggs plus Samuel, Shakir and McConkey.

That's exactly what I have been reading about him.

If we don't address our #2 WR, could this be a shared responsibility between Shakir, Samuel, Hollins and lets say a McConkey?

I am on the WR train first but I can easily seeing us going edge or even safety in round 1.

In your scenario, that's easy - you pick the edge. Because (without getting too bogged down in the hypothetical grading system) a difference of half a point is probably at least one tier difference on the draft board. There it isn't about whether the drop off is bigger it is just about taking the guy who is clearly the best player at a premium position.

The difficult scenario is if it is closer and the other way around.... so let's say your highest graded remaining player is a wide receiver, at 8.9 and the next best is an edge at 8.7 and the drop off at edge is down to your 7.9 example but you have 6 receivers between 8.6 and 8.0 that is where it gets tricky. But Beane also has to weigh up how likely is he to then be able to get any of his 6 other closely graded receivers? Because it is okay in theory saying "the drop off is bigger at edge" but you have to really look at the drop off between the guys there at #28 and what is likely to be there at #60. If you think the likelihood is all six of the receivers in between are gone the next time you get on the clock then the drop off being less is pretty irrelevant.

The only scenario in which you take a guy other than receiver is if the guy you have BPA sticking out on the board is higher tier of prospect (not just 0.1 or 0.2 difference) and is at a premium position.

What do you think of Ladd McConkey?

After 3 consecutive losing seasons. If McDermott has that he is gone. In fact I am not sure he'd get three. Barring a major Allen injury I'm not sure he'd get one.

McDermott wouldn’t have made it to 0-7 in the playoffs either.  If the Bills would have lost our first 3 playoff games under McDermott, he probably would have been gone.

I agree with the thoughts about the Netflix show, Surviving Death. I was moved by the story about the cardinals.

Also, my mother told me of her 'near' death experience after she died during childbirth for about 2 minutes and 45 seconds. Her experience was in 1970. I was told in 1978 when I was 13. And I've basically been interested in supernatural stuff ever since.

The Spinal Surgeon who was without oxygen for 30 minutes and had fixed eyes then making a full recovery was incredible.  She didn't feel any panic and was feeling comfort while dying...

I loved Independence Day (1996) but now its a cheddar fest.    I also love (the OG) Roadhouse.   It's cheese but I still watch it.   Wife and I watched the new one (pretty good) and then re-watched the 1989 version saturday.

I watched Independence Day last July and I laughed so hard.  It's a comedy now.

These m'fers traveled faster than the speed of light to get here and we override their defense system lol?

Is this like looking for a Waldo, who can also anchor as a NT or 1T?

At a quick glance it appears to be regional, but I think it’s actually a lot more socio-economic when you keep reading.

Did you notice there isn't a Korean town anywhere on that list?  We keep fit boi.

I have been to Denver once and it was eye popping how very little amount of fat people I saw.  I'm used to walking around Atlanta and you have more defensive tackles than slot WR's if you know what I mean.

It's possible. Was he good last year? I don't recall him making many plays and also giving up a TD or two. Who knows who was actually responsible though.

I say move on and get younger. Edwards looks like he is good enough to be adequate back there. Hope they draft one.

I would have gone WR, Edge, and then S in top 3 rounds prior to FA. Probably wpuld still do the same maybe with DT or C/G ahead of safety.

I think you need his mental game back there.  He can mentor and maybe lower his snap count to like 70%.

I think WR #2 is a bigger need.  That's where I would put my emphasis on.

  10. We are drafting two offensive lineman this draft.  One who plays interior and one that currently plays tackle but could move inside if we need him.

    That's my guess.

He does enough to be a winner most of the time, the question is, what, if anything, does he need to do different or more to be a champion?

I don't know the answer to that but 1) neither does anyone else here 2) an off season workout photo op or throwing session may or may not be what he needs.

Allen has done his part to be a champion just like Manning and Elway did before they finally got theirs.

  12. No one knows the level of hard work a player puts in except him.  You don't get to Allen's level without working hard.  Pure talent doesn't get you by in the NFL, maybe for a moment but eventually the game gets too hard.

He may not have the legendary work dedication like Jerry Rice or Kobe Bryant but Allen is doing enough to be a winner.

I've been trying to say, he's a natural center. He was a center in high school. A lot of centers are converted from other positions. He's been playing center for a long time. I guess Penn State and Dallas needed him more at guard. I think he's going to be excellent at center and I am glad he is excited for the opportunity. A bit more stout than Morse.  And I know I am in the minority here, but I really like David Edwards.

David Edwards is only 26 so he could work himself into a decent extension if he steps up this year.
