Sounds like wishful thinking. Why doesn't everyone just draft the best WR in the NFL at pick 22?
Dude, come on.

So we just have to hope we get a Puka in round 5. Sounds easy enough
Justin Jefferson was drafted #22 overall.

What about literally every other season we've been eliminated? In our 3 playoff games vs KC in 4 years...McD's defense has gotten them to punt a TOTAL of 4 times! Is that good? Are you impressed by that?
McD's D has been awful in the biggest games and moments since he's been here literally every single season, even when we've been relatively healthy. I don't really even know how you can debate that.
It's either McD has failed or Mahomes is unreal in the playoffs.

He was great for us - but like others, I'm kind of relieved.
This team has come up short repeatedly in the playoffs. Diggs was a no-show the past 2 playoffs losses, and dropped one of the best passes I think I've seen in the postseason.
We're heading into '24 w/ essentially a new team. It feels like a very needed clean slate.
New WR's, new secondary and also a pretty new DL as well. This is a new team now.

Thanks!
Now, part 2, what was different about their defense through the playoffs than ours through any playoffs?
They didn’t face Patrick Mahomes who has played in 6 straight AFC Championships and won 3 Super Bowls.- 1

I still think Diggs is better. Put Diggs on that team with all those HOF, what’s it look like? No slight on Reed…Diggs to me is the best we ever had
Diggs wouldn’t put up the numbers he is now in a 1990’s NFL Offense.- 2

They were the #3 seed and didn't turn it on until the playoffs
They averaged 23 ppg in the playoffs. That was turning it on? -

Houston is building their team right. Going all in on OFFENSE. This is an offensive league and whoever scores the most points wins. The Bills are trying to run the ball more and play good defense. Someone needs to tell this isn't 2005
The Chiefs just won the Super Bowl as the #15 in offensive scoring.- 2

You know what, now is a good time to spill the beans on what I was told last year - In the home Patriots game, Diggs chose to sit out the first drive of the 2nd half because he was upset with Allen's play in the 1st half. It wasn't an injury or part of the game plan. He decided to screw over his team and sit out a drive because he couldn't get over himself.
I suspect other stories like this will come out in the coming days. A couple aren't mine to tell. Guy was a total headcase and a major distraction in more ways than one.
I text my friend that after the long bomb TD catch, Diggs just high 5 teammates and jogged off the field….I said something is up. Diggs didn’t seem into it anymore. -
Now draft day is going to be really, really, really interesting.

Honestly I hope Josh uses this as motivation. Go out there and prove Diggs isn't essential to your success. Shove it in his face.
This trade doesn't happen unless Allen tells Beane he's good with it.

Was he toxic behind the scenes? I was sick of his passive-aggressive BS but I'm a Gen Xer who is sick of all social media anyway so wtf do I know (obligatory get off my lawn). And yes, I was thrilled for trading for him when it first happened, despite all of this being his MO.
Guess the brain trust is all in on eat our medicine now to set ourselves up for later. Just shocked it came to this considering the dead cap from Diggs' trade and already needing a #2, and now needing a #1.
It had to have been. They were willing to eat $31 million for him.
I also don't think they trade Diggs without Allen's "permission".

The family pittie saved lives from a deranged Ill-annoyan high on the MaryJane committing a stabbing spree:
Brandy you're a fine dog, what a nice family pet you'd be...
"...Weber said she and her two kids — all of whom have visible injuries — were home Wednesday afternoon when she took her pit bull, Brandy, out the back door and heard a man say "hey" to her before he stabbed her in the face.
As she crawled through the house screaming for Vollman to help her, she said, Brandy jumped on and bit the man, giving her enough time to escape. ..."
This pit deserves this.

Agree about the bolded 100%. It's great that you can afford it, and that you and your son enjoy the experience enough to take the price increase in stride. It's not financially hard on me. Like you I could afford it as well. But the experience for me is not worth anywhere near the cost of the day at the Ralph. We stopped going in person several years ago. Now for the 1pm starts I record the game, and I have software that skips the commercials automatically on playback. So my family spends Sunday afternoons doing what we like, then we get pizza and all meet up to watch the game in 90 minutes or so while eating dinner.
What I feel bad about are the fans that have managed to afford seasons for their families for years, now needing to find or get a loan for a pretty large lump sum payment that does nothing but help finance the Biils new stadium rather than the NFL, which as you say is the "biggest sport in the world revenue wise" (it's actually 2nd behind soccer, but close), financing it. That just leaves a bad taste in my mouth.
Agreed. When I said #1, I meant one league in a single country. FIFA is in over 200 nations and 700 Leagues and yet the NFL is right behind them in total revenue….pretty wild.

MLB takes a lot of criticism. IMO most of it is from impatient children who demand a sport with instant gratification. That said, opening day should be a big deal/marketing opportunity. Today’s schedule includes:
Angels at Orioles
Brewers at Mets
This year is way better than most so maybe they’re learning but couldn’t those games have flipped who was home? It’s not like they’re not playing each other later in the year. I get it’s not easy because there are road trips that involve multiple hops but still. You can plan the first week to 10 days with dome and good weather teams at home and go from there.
It takes a lot of criticism because it's a slow sport with a lot of routine plays and that gets boring.

I was at Camp Casey in Tong-du-chon (aka Dongducheon), about an hour north of Seoul. I visited Yongsan a few times. It was where the 8th Army was headquartered.
In 1988, before credit cards were commonly accepted in Korea, you had to carry cash. One time - long story - I found myself broke in Seoul on a Sunday evening with no way to get back to Camp Casey. So I went to Yongsan, where there was a cashier's booth where I could maybe cash a check, hoping and praying it would be open late on a Sunday.
From what I understand, the U.S. garrison that was once there is now gone. I loved serving in Korea and still love Korean food. That was one of the best years of my life. What was it like to live there as a kid?
I don't remember much of it at all. I was very young.
I just remember my brother was picked up by Military Police because he was throwing rocks at the street lamps because there was an eclipse coming....he wanted to make it as dark as possible.

Benard also made the list at 777K (No. 17). I wonder how much Benford received?
Yeah but that's only like $450,000 after taxes. Then another $45,000 for his agent. With the stadium being built, will Bernard be able to afford to live in Buffalo with additional taxes? Could he afford the PSL for his family?

If you don't know that pun reference, it's a song called "O.P.P" by a rap group called Naughty By Nature.
If you don't know what rap is, it's the music that makes suburban white teens think they're hard.

That's definitely a good comparison. The odds of winning the lottery are 1 and 300 million.
You asked the question on what rookie WR had a good year. You were given about a dozen so yes...the odds are about the same.
The team that won the Super Bowl in the last 2 years didn't have a #1 WR. Then you dismiss that by saying their 23 ppg offense turned it up in the playoffs.
They got to the Super Bowl by scoring 17 points.
We need the "impossible" lol?
