Lake effect snow doesn't always mean that a particular area is going to be buried like a month ago in OP, it just means a possibility of lake effect snow... could be 3" or 3'.

According to weather dot com for Sat. night in OP: Variably cloudy with snow showers. Low 26F. Winds WSW at 10 to 20 mph. Chance of snow 60%. Snow accumulating 1 to 3 inches.

I've been hearing mixed reports on the weather so I guess they'll narrow it down in a few days.
