Curious to see what people think. The OL looked like it was getting blown up the middle routinely. Looked like the breakdowns were mainly between Morse and Torrence.  OT play looked ok.

Torrence sense to have hit a rookie wall and has been playing at least below average for a month.

I wonder if down the stretch Edwards or Bates will get a few series ar RG.

I thought the same thing happened this time against New England as the first game on the road - I felt like the offensive line got manhandled (especially in the first half).

On Monday WGR Jeremy White's reaction was Allen holding the ball too long. I thought it was more legitimate pressure.

More All-22 tape analysis is coming out today.

After watching the offense slog along yesterday I wanted to go back and look at the statistics over the last six weeks to see how much of a difference Brady has been.    Looking over the stats, it seems like a bit of a push in terms of offensive success.  What Brady has done better is exactly what McDermott kept harping on "complimentary football."    Brady has taken the air out of the offense and replaced it with ground success, and in doing so, cut down on the turnovers.

Can the Bills keep it up at this pace?   Can they rely on the defense to keep playing out of their minds and hope a successful running game can move them forward?  Personally, I think the Bills are playing on a razors edge and will end up bit.    The Bills really need to consider looking outside of the organization at guys like Eric Bienemy, and Kellen Moore in the offseason to attempt and fix the passing game.

    Pretty much a draw.

I guess you could give the nod to Brady because of the 4 wins in a row.

  3. No he can’t.

The Bills franchise and fans really need to aim higher.

We don’t have one WR that can stretch the field, high point the football, come back to the ball and come down with contested catches, have real deep speed to create downfield separation.

The Bills have no length, no size, no speed.

Playing barely 50% of offensive snaps over last 3 games will do it

So the Bills are actively covering up an injury on the practice reports, and how do we explain Diggs being able to run flat out on that long throw attempt from Allen where he has two steps on his man?

Can anyone explain what is hurt?

Is it like last year when Allen had the ghost concussion all year for 8 weeks in a row?

Stating the obvious but it creates a two fold problem.  One is that Diggs isn't getting open and 2 is that Allen is not looking at the guys who are getting open waiting on Diggs.  Hopefully Diggs is just nicked up and will return to some form of himself soon or Allen comes off him a little quicker in progressions.

I’m trying to understand this Diggs is hurt narrative that has started.

We came into the season knowing that we didn't have a #2 WR on the roster. Now it turns out we don't have a true #1 either. We have no speed, no YAC ability, below average separation and catch ability from our WR corps. That's why our passing offense has looked so inconsistent, there is zero margin for error.

Yes, Kincaid was the only real talent the Bills added in the off-season and we’ve seen how that has turned out this season.

Maybe he can build off his 87-yard performance Sunday, but nothing has really carried over in this offense week to week.

  6. It’s not always some covert coverup of injuries that explain Allen and Diggs and any other player that we like because we’re Bills fans.

“I think that shoulder is hurting more than the team is letting on”

So just like last year when the Bills covered up the phantom concussion, now they’re covering up the shoulder?

Can you explain how Allen uncorks a 60-yarder attempt to Diggs or makes those slip throws at different angles multiple times against the Chiefs, or makes run after run after run at the goal line ????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

Has anyone changed their opinion of him over the last month?

This will be an emotional weekend. I’m prepared for a lot of McDermott threads Sunday night if things go poorly. I want to see how we’re feeling entering the biggest regular season game of his head coaching career.

I think the same as I did a few weeks ago.

I don’t love him or his style as a Coach, and do think we need a refresh on our offense by investing more resources and conducting a full OC search.

So with all that said, the players aren’t playing like a group that wants their Coach fired. They’re playing hard for him, have won 4-straight after the McDermott Problem article came out.

Yeah but if either Pittsburgh or Jax lose before our game i thought the Bills back in. Then the Miami game would be for the AFC East title.

Get your best 5 skill players on the field over 80% of the time: 011 personnel.

Sorry Knox, Murray, Sherfield - you’re getting 5 breather snaps for the starters.

Sorry Diggs you can’t check yourself out.

Trent Sherfield is a career journeyman on a vet minimum 1-year deal. He’s not a sacred cow that can’t come out.

Latavius Murray is 837 years old, you don’t have a moral obligation to play him.

Cut Sherfield and put Shorter in.

Cut Murray and bring Fournette up full-time.

I would argue that Shakir could be the guy.

Has sticky hands, often catches the less than perfect passes and looks clutch on third and medium to long.

He may not be a WR1, but he's the best according to my eye test.

    He’s young and ascending.

All other Bills WRs have plateaued (Diggs, Davis) or are in decline (Sherfield, Harty).

    Things we need

    More Shakir

More Cook in the pass game

    Fournette

    More Kincaid

Obviously you can't have all that on every down but you can do some of it

Kincaid at 55% snap count is too low, agree.

Murray playing 19 snaps (over Ty Johnson at 13) is too much.

    Even James Cook at 55%.

Thought his legs/jump looked fantastic throughout the game. He has clearly been busting his ass to be ready to go. If he hadn't, I think he'd have been flagging by late in the 3rd.

Also caught him playing with one arm on multiple occasions. He doesn't trust it yet. Seems to be smart and aggressive enough to compensate for it by using his legs to drive people where he wants them to go, though.

Not a liability at all and a better showing than I expected from a guy that hasn't been able to work out for 2-3 months.

    Playing with one arm?

I get the trust factor, but that’s not a good development.

Because that’s Jordan Phillips last year who played snaps like his right arm was in an invisible sling and the Bills kept him out there in that condition for WEEKS.

If you’re going to make Joseph inactive on top of it.

I think maybe we have seen the rest of the NFL catch up to the Daboll offense and perhaps specifically the things that give Allen trouble defensively.

Wouldn't be surprised if we went in a different direction offensively in the off-season. Seems like we have been getting diminishing returns offensively each year since 2020.

Yes this is a good point.

The personnel limitations have been well documented.

But this is the hand Brady the OC job now thread, and I said back then - no, you have to conduct a real coaching search and if he wins the job against real competition, fine, but the interim tag should not just be removed.

I think the YAC issue is mainly to do with Allen’s ball placement. He rarely hits a receiver in stride and leads a lot of throws out of bounds. I understand that some of that is designed to prevent turnovers but at the same time there are receivers on occasion open and either have to slow down or adjust or get over thrown.

Guys are constantly have to reach behind, high, 2-mm above the carpet, dive on the turf.

The placement was all over today.

He used the same phrase today as he has before - feeling good coming out of the hand.

  14. Might need @HoofHearted to explain what is going on here.

The All-22 will come out and reveal some.

I thought the offensive line got whipped in the first half.

Josh with the 0% brains interception.

I have no idea what’s going on with Diggs. Allen hits him on that 91-yarder and all the stats look better. But that’s just other long ones to Diggs this year that haven’t connected.

Not sure what the game plan was this week. Sometimes we use Cook down the field as a pass catcher, most times we don’t.

Another quiet one from Gabe, he did have that nice 3rd-Down conversion. He seems to really be a broken coverage long touchdown/deep throw, or nothing.

I think Sherfield is useless. There is really no roster room for Shorter, but couldn’t they just waive Sherfield and put Shorter in that a slot?

Allen was not sharp. Too often everywhere but hitting WRs in stride. Guys having to reach low, high, behind to dive at the ground for balls.

Knox with a drop on a 10-yard rocket, Cook with a drop, Murray with a drop.

Our best bet is that Dolphins have already clinched the playoffs and have no home field advantage anyhow so does seeding really matter? If anyone is banged up maybe they decide not to rush them back so they are ready for the playoffs

I mean I’m not the most homerish fan, but I’m not walking around scared of the Dolphins, scared of getting blown out and embarrassed.

If we lose, we lose. But no way am I just bowing down to that team like a scared puppy under the kitchen table.

Good week of practice here and attack them like a wrecking ball.
