  1. McCain has a lot in common with Ted Kennedy. Both rode their family name, both brain cancer, divorce, wanted to be President, and both die a US Senator.
  2. Rolling around on the ground was "indifferent" and not "ignorant"? McCoy probably commissioned his ex girlfriends beat down. He is a dangerous thug. Good riddance to him.
  3. You are right of course. You must have come across the WNY native who is a NE, JETS, Dolphins, or Cowboys supporter and even wear the garb. They love bathing in the hate. I have a woman who works for me who is a Patriots supporter, and in the past worked with a Dolphins supporter when Levy/Kelly, Shula/Marino were a debatable item. There is a mental issue. Not mental illness per se, but a need for attention.
  4. To me you are a contradiction. You are a student of history, and on most topics your views seem conservative. You despise draft dodgers and "sex offenders". No one is defending draft dodgers and "sex offenders". You "go out of my way to ask people why we let a draft dodger be Commander in Chief". Apparently, you wish people would have voted for Hillary, who no doubt would have dodged the draft like her husband did, plus, in today's corporate world, her husband would be fired for sexual indiscretion she defended with the "right wing conspiracy" defense. It is more a battle of who was worse, than who was better. No one to "right of the deplorables" is leading a fight for border security, fair trade deals, let alone get elected and get to appoint a Supreme Court candidate. Perhaps you just like being a contrarian. Perhaps you are a Patriots fan as well, and you like the attention being a contrarian brings you. You are a contradiction in that indirectly you seem to enjoy arguing against yourself.
  5. Churchill was definitely opinionated. My favorite Churchill quote: " Individual Moslems may show splendid qualities. Thousands become the brave and loyal soldiers of the Queen: all know how to die. But the influence of the religion paralyzes the social development of those who follow it. No stronger retrograde force exists in the world. Far from being moribund, Mohammedanism is a militant and proselytizing faith. It has already spread throughout Central Africa, raising fearless warriors at every step; and were it not that Christianity is sheltered in the strong arms of science—the science against which it had vainly struggled—the civilization of modern Europe might fall, as fell the civilization of ancient Rome."
  6. Buffalo came in at number 13th worst, but best parking lot. https://moneywise.com/a/ch-b/worst-stadiums-in-the-nfl/p-1 "Maybe it's saying something that one of the best things about the field in Buffalo is the parking lot. The tailgating at Bills games is the best in the league, no matter if it's a warm preseason game or a chilly Sunday in December. The 45-year-old stadium itself lacks many modern amenities that you would find at newer fields. Still, New Era offers cheap beer and great sightlines. "For a stadium that's been here quite a while, it looks really good," says one fan on Yelp, where New Era Field has four stars. "The seats are in good shape and it was clean.""
  7. I now agree with the consensus, yes you are an Idiot, Phd from Buffoon U.
  8. 1. In one post you say Trump is virtueless, yet in another post you say Trump has virtue. "Trump has virtue, lmfao." 2. Germany and Japan don't do s... Because it's in their Constitution. It is much easier and cheaper to leave it to the USofA. 3. Churchill was a bag of wind with one famous quote. He ordered the fire bombing of Dresden, an art city packed with civilians and war wounded. It's no coincidence that 1945 was his last year in office. 4. The Vietnam War was a Civil War we never should have been involved in. Your "containment theory being reasonable given the circumstances of the time" is laughable given that no dominoes fell after the fall of Vietnam. The part about not winning a war we were winning is also a good one. 5. John McCain is a man of honor? Except in the matter of the Keating five, divorcing his disabled wife, and leaving the damaged carrier for some R&R, etc, etc. 6. You view yourself as an academic, a student of warfare. Thankfully you don't make policy or command troops. You have more in common with Dr. Strangelove then Doc Holliday.
  9. 1. No treaties have been violated. However, one of Trump's virtues is he brings to the discussion matters that should be discussed, but never would be without him. There are ample reasons to believe you're wrong about Russian influence over Trump. 2. Germany and Japan have used their constitutions as excuses for not having a military able to defend their country without the United States. All of them including China have avoided foreign military entanglements, if they sent troops anywhere, they were in support 3. Churchill was no military genius. During the First World War, he oversaw the Gallipoli Campaign which proved a disaster. In the end he is deemed a war criminal. 4. With regard to Charles, my point was over 50,000 Americans died and billions of dollars lost because of Chuck. United States should not be influenced by some other nations desires regardless of France's aid during the American Revolution. 5. Considerlng McCain to be a role model is comical. Besides being a terrible pilot losing five airplanes, he used his position as son and grandson of an admiral to gain favor both in The Navy and as a captive. 6. Russia considers Crimea as theirs. They did not consider it an invasion of the Ukraine. There landlocked and need Crimea to gain access to the ocean through the black sea.THey considered the Ukraine to be unreliable so they took back what they considered theirs. The reason they are in Syria is similar in that they have a naval base there. If Assad were to fall, the naval base might be lost to them. For these reasons, military action in Russia's backyard is ludicrous, the same reason trying to defend Taiwan would be foolish. The supply lines are too long and the cost benefit too low.
  10. Kennedy was not reliable and Ginsberg is unlikely to out last Trump, compared to the alternative if Hillary had been elected.
  11. I agree, packing the Supreme Court with conservatives is a huge accomplishment that only one man could have accomplished- Donald Trump. Remember Souter was a pick of HW Bush. Remember how Souter retired early to pave the way for Sotomyair. Ginsburg made a huge kelp miscalculation by not retiring during Obama's administration because she was so sure of Hillary winning.
  12. 1. What if the treaty is poorly constructed or becomes outdated? For example, the United States with drew from the antiballistic missile treaty, and may withdraw from NAFTA. 2. If isolationism means not getting involved in the world's conflicts, why has it worked so well for Switzerland, China, Japan and Germany for the last 70 years. 3. Hows about you read about how Charles de Gaulle wanting his Indochina colonies back precipitated the US involvement in Vietnam. 4. You remind me of Sen. McCain who never saw a war he didn't like. https://thedailybanter.com/issues/2013/06/03/8-facts-that-prove-john-mccain-is-an-unhinged-warmonger/ 5. You put divisions in the Ukraine, most likely the Ukraine will be lost together with the Crimea and many men.
  13. The question isn't so much a question as to who is a coward, as it really Is what is best for the United States, not the world. Should the United States act as the world's policeman? The United States has the advantage of being very difficult to attack given its location between two oceans while on the other hand, the United States has a very difficult task to defend countries that are half way around the world from here. The only way Afghan Taliban become a danger on Main Street is if you import them. The domino theory died with the Vietnam war. Trump's theory that our allies have used us as an inexpensive mercenary military has much merit. Perhaps it's time for foreign-policy reflect the reality that we should not guarantee other nations sovereignty or nation build. We cannot be a pure service economy and at the same time expect to be able to defend ourselves, let alone the world.
  14. Carter is a one trick pony. "White racism" or nothing.
  15. He brought his protest to the playing field of the NFL, during the National Anthem no less. The NFL has not oppressed, but has been super inclusive.. Colin violated the cardinal rule of do not s*&% where you eat. Could it be opportunities for other blacks of becoming the "face of the franchise" to have been damaged by the actions of Colin K. Did he not only kill his career, but others as well? The whole question is "why not up to par". Could it be because the animals run the zoo?
  16. It was Colin K, who is most likely half Arab and half White who brought the issue of skin color to the NFL. He seemed to think the issue as not "shallow". Both. "Education is the most important thing in a child’s life. This is not something you should sacrifice. "
  17. Could Lamar Jackson's falling have anything to do with a backlash to black anger and the Colin K fiasco? What does LJ and the Ball family have in common? A parent as an agent.
  18. Lorenzo Alexander is not Mr. Negro moral authority. Allen owes LA nothing for something said as a fifteen year old, or any age for that matter. Carter is obsessed with race and racism and refers to his opinions as "we" as in "we will not stand for" BS. News Flash: there are many opinions out there.
  19. One choice was not take a QB in this draft/ Another was to take Rosen, Rudolph, Jackson or one of the other QB available. Rosen was problematic, and so was Allen. Rosen may crash and burn because of injury history and attitude, and Allen may because of touch. Rosen may be the next Brady (he thinks he will be), and Allen may be the next Carson Wentz or Big Ben. Injury and attitude: Evander Kane was recently traded out of Pegula's Sabres because of attitude while Sammy Watkins is gone from the Bills because of injury history and attitude. Colin K is out of football because of attitude. Edwards, Luck, Bridgewater, RGIII are all out or in doubt because of injury. I think Allen is rugged, smart (8 points over Rosen), and driven. He has beaten the odds. Either AJ McCarron or Allen are as likely to succeed than any of the other QBs taken. Just think of all the QBs who have gone to the Browns and Jets to see their careers die. On the Cardinals site, they are bragging they got Rosen for a third and fifth, but so are two seconds far better than three firsts for Allen.
  20. Tony Romo is a better announcer, and would make a better coach than he did a QB. He was like Moses who could take Dallas to the crest of the hill to see the promised land, but he just could not take them there.
  21. Because of the movie "Draft Day" and the fact his team mates did not come to his birthday party. The Edwards concussion and demise. The "F&ck Trump" hat, and the fact that he did not disown it. Future Colin K. in the making.
  22. That is true of any QB, but it never stopped Brady. With regard to "worst Wideouts in the league with an unproven offensive line", part of that lies at the feet of T Mobile.
  23. What Alabama's Coach Saban thinks "means noting". That is rich. He will be playing for his career come fall. I wish them all well.
