He was put on an island that was being bombarded by tsunamis over and over again. His play slipped, but I doubt that anyone else would have fared much better under the circumstances.Go watch the tape. His play has fallen off dramatically even allowing for the poor team he was on.
-
I'd rather get Kasen Williams. He is a UDFA and has been lighting it up for the Seahawks this preseason. They've got to part with a wr to keep him and, if they do, then examine the opportunities with Kearse (if waived). If they don't and try to sneak Williams onto their PS, then snatch him up quick. The guy has looked excellent so far.

They don't fit in OJ's gloves? You know what they say about guys with "big hands"....

This is my take too. Just because he was drafted to be elite, doesn't mean he is . In fact, I'd say picking up Kuandjio for pennies would be a more logical play. And that is a completely illogical play.I get the intrigue here but he's been downright tragic every place they have tried to play him on the line. Is he a better fit for our scheme or something?
he might be their worst player

Except for the exemption that exists at special teams coordinator.Because new Bills coaches always have to hire their cronies.

I have always received far better receptions in opponents stadiums and cities. I've had numerous offers to trade jerseys and hats in Seattle, KC, Chicago and Oakland. We are definitely amongst the downtrodden franchises, but I find we are often respected for our passionate fan-base and our ability to remain as such. It's an honour people know the BIlls exist in other cities. Maybe some day they'll know what division Buffalo is in.
Wearing a Bills cap on road trips proved nobody knowing the logo or shaking their heads and sadly saying "duuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuude...."

Pretty soon you'll hear "move Dawkins to LT and Glenn to RT", you know it's coming.
I know that the popular opinion has long been that your #1 tackle should be the LT in order to protect the blind side, but watching the league in the past decade has me thinking that having the bookends is just as imperative to OL success. Teams are lining up top pass rushers off the RT consistently and having success doing it. I love having Glenn at LT, but if Dawkins is a reasonably small downgrade, Glenn would provide such an immense upgrade at RT that he would easily provide the line with far superior performance 1-5. My ideal world has Glenn-Richie-Wood-Miller/Groy-Dawkins, but based on what we've seen in the preseason, Dawkins has not acclimated to RT in the way that he slid into LT against the Ravens.

Thanks for the drop-in Spags! Always a welcome sight to see a Spags thread on the board.

More evidence of how good a coach Kromer is/was.
The guy can really coach up an offensive line.
Where is he this season? He would be a massive upgrade over Castillo.
-
If Miller is our best option and the guy who is going to start then it makes absolutely no sense on putting Ducasse out there with the first team offense. Ever. Why do that in pre-season when the objective should be to protect your QB with the best guys? Ducasse is a major liability.
This is so obvious to everyone...except Rico and Castillo. I really have no clue what they see in Ducasse. I never like to take personal pot-shots, but he really is outclassed by everyone he has faced on the oppositions DL. He has no business being on an NFL field.

It's a logical move. He was a 2nd rounder that had serious injury, wasn't a good 4-3 fit and wasn't getting any burn with even the 2nd team defense. You can't really hold his draft status against the current regime as they weren't involved in that. You get what you can.

Should have kept Rex on staff. He'd love to take care of that ailment. You need anoth massage brah... ? here, prop that foot on this pillow and let me work it.

Not true. It has been well documented that his father removed his spleen at birth to avoid the almost inevitable severe spleen injury that would occur if he were to play NFL football. He does still have his spleen.

C'mon gang, it's all about the tank! Let's get Bortles at QB, trade McCoy, sign Reggie Bush and go for the lowest depths that we possibly can! Entertaining football in 2017? Hell no! Let's blow another year of our sad lives as Buffalo Bills football fans watching a crap-tastic on field product!

Thanks 26CB!! Love getting these updates!

Are you saying Lynn fails the "eye test"?
Nope, "ear test". He looks the part.
-
Watched some of chargers preaseason the other night. Sick curiosity of "that could have been us" with Lynn as coach and Cardale under center. I think Lynn would have started Cardale this year had they both been in buffalo
Out of the two LA teams, the Rams look to have chosen the right HC. Lynn was a decent OC, but he really doesn't give the impression that he is well suited for HC when I've caught his interviews over the last month.

RIP Joe. Thank you for what you gave to the Bills family.
-
The first eight plays had me thinking Captain Checkdown. Then he got it going and showed good touch, especially behind that sieve of an offensive line.

Seems it wouldDid that give you wood?

I really wish you'd change your screen name. You are a pessimistic troll and not representative of the good people of our country at all. You're not even worthy of calling yourself a fan.It doesn't matter. Beane has a job waiting for him in Carolina. I'm sure he'll go sooner than later.
-
They put the kibosh on Beane's ' suggested " It starts with one trade....and then it snowballs". It has been said that he was giddy like a small child when he suggested it.Well it was "Starts With One"
The short form worked better for the fans.

Despite all the negative surrounding the team this season, the power to improve a life (or lives) was wielded beautifully in this case. Always, and forever, proud to ba a Bills fan.

It took me days to vote on this. I was a huge Sammy fan, despite his oft-injured status. I still see him as easily the best WR talent the Bills have had since Moulds and, more likely, Andre. It's tough to see him leave based on that and what he was acquired for.
Darby was a loss, but you have to see that a defensive HC is going to need guys that fit his scheme and Darby was not one. A talent? Absolutely.
I voted yes in the end. This team needs an influx of young talent and shaping the draft with two picks in each of the first three rounds does that and gives them immense flexibility to acquire top tier talent. They weren't going to re-sign Sammy by all accounts and the SB is a pipe dream this season. Building for the future is the intelligent path.
