I don't see Gaines being a casualty. Based on his consistency this season, he'll be re-signed as a priority. The cap space exists for him and a few mid-tier guys. Star would be a great fit, but the $'s may be too rich. Sadly, the draft will be the most key thing this offseason.

The sad fact of the matter is that you were comparing the New York Yankees to the Buffalo Bills and that is not a fair comparison. The Yankees are a storied franchise with a history of winning. The Buffalo Bills, however, are a sad sack franchise with a history of losing. There was rationale for Chapman to return to the Yankees. Why would Sammy ever want to come back to Buffalo?

He should; great skill set but unlike Kate Upton he needs more seasoning.
I know just the man for the job. The Upton job I mean.

I don't understand how a guy can admit complete wrongdoing and then file an appeal of a more-than-fair punishment administered for this admitted improper act.
The league is broken if he gets away with this. The league is probably broken anyways, but it's another log on the fire.

I love Kate Upton. I may be sufficiently endowed to entice her, but her husband surely does not want to part with her. This is a solid analogy for this situation.

Haha but I didn’t physically hurt someone just their feelings ?. Sometimes I forget we are in the era of kindler, gentler, second place trophies rah rah shish cooombah and in the future will surely make sure I refer to Brandon as the annointed savior of the city. I truly feel horrible sorry everyone.
Nothing to do with hurting feelings. Everything to do with homophobic, derogatory verbage. Just pick a better word.

Trade up for
Rosen
Darnold
Mayfield
Sit and take
Rudolph
Jackson
Falk
All a matterof cost. I love Darnold and Baker, but the two firsts are too high a cost for the number of holes needed to fill with quality players. But man would I love to see one of them in a Bills uniform in 2018.

Who cares? And I say this respectfully. Winning cures all the outside noise or lack there of. This team has proven through the history books that we are a laughing stock in the NFL. It will be 18 years soon of no playoffs. In a league of parity that shows the inept nature of the franchise.
Please note: Has anyone noticed since fag boy Brandon was inserted into the Sabres mix they took a monster nose dive? The sooner this guy is shown the door(s) the better the franchises will be.
The Bills and Sabres need a bonified President at the Top running things the right way. Until then there will be more of the same.
$4400 this year plus game day expenses wrapped up in this team (7k total at least)! If things dont change I have no problem spending my money elsewhere.
Rant over.
What did you call Brandon?! Wow! If ignorance is bliss, you must live on cloud nine. Deplorable.

He's not a FA. He could be traded by the Jints for a draft pick or two.
Offer them Tyrod and Tre' Davious White. Maybe they'd take it.
Hell no. Tre should in no way be included in any trade offer, never mind one for an aged QB who hasn't done anything in 4 seasons. I liked Eli fine, but he is not the answer for the Bills. Inject the youth. Darnold, Rosen or Baker. Other than that build the lines and gamble on a 3rd round QB and Peterman. If Mason is there in the second, he should be considered.

Only the Bills would have two 1st rd picks that are both 8-8 records. You can't make this **** up.
Although you are, very sadly, absolutely correct and I see the need for at least one high draft pick to grab that QB, I have long ago reconciled myself to the fact that we chher for mediocrity as well as anyone. The advantage is that at 8-8, we will still have a huge opportunity to draft two studs at positions of need that will come into a far better locker room than the poor saps that walk into Cleveland and New York next year. I must find solace somewhere....

Im a Bills fan and I hate Brady more than anyone else in the history of the NFL. Even more than OJ and Hernandez.
It's a difficult thing to reconcile in ones mind; being a Bills fan and not liking OJ. Can one be a huge fan of the player and despise the man?

This is the kind of BS that causes observers and black players to raise accusations of racism. It uses the same phrase ("the chosen one") used repeatedly by race-baiting bigots against Obama. Of course, we all know you don't hate Taylor because he's black, you just hate him because he's not Tom Brady and Aaron Rodgers, right?
Bigotry is never personal.
He was "okay" with a loss under Peterman but he "wants" losses under Taylor. I think that speaks for itself.
What are you on about? There hasn't been even the slightest mention of race on this thread. You bringing it up makes you look like the biggest troll. If mentioning a QB's low passing yards is indicative of bigotry or racism, I really have no idea where this world is going. Maybe it's you that has the issue? Perhaps you see a low passing yard QB and make assumptions. Get a clue man.

I place more blame on how the staff has tried to use Tolbert, than I do on Tolbert. He has been relatively effective between the tackles. He is an above average downhill HB. Why Dennison keeps throwing him toss plays and screens is beyond me.
100%. I am not blaming much on a few key players on O. The offense has been designed against a lot of strengths that exist. The line has been horrible, but so much of that comes down to the blocking scheme. The right side is a tire fire regardless, but the talent across the line is equal or greater than that of NE and their staff has adjusted their scheme to play so much better than the Bills.
I hate repeatedly changing Coordinators, but the entire offensive side needs to go at season end. Evaluate that McD

disagree, it makes it look like the coach has no idea what he is doing.
You already told the world you don't think Taylor is good enough. You went to a guy, it backfired, but now you are going to say the guy you benched is now your best player.
So, is it that McD is admitting he was wrong or that he's too scared to lose the team or that he's just to weak to stand up to his decision?
it was a lose-lose decision no matter what.

The continued issues with Glenn's ankle are very problematic in that it means Dawkins gets less and less work on the right side of the line, where he is most needed and should be long-term if the plan is to keep Glenn.
Man, our lines are bad.
5 minutes ago, 26CornerBlitz said:They should just IR or release Tolbert.
IR is more likely as no way they cut him. McD likes his vet leaders and Tolbert fits the bill. Unfortunately, he's ill-suited to his role. The redundancy of DiMarco/Tolbert is astounding.

In preparation for the heartache associated the next 6 weeks (and really every Bills season), I am skipping this weeks game to go and adopt a dog. I will, as any good fan should, PVR the game and watch it when I return. At that time, I am hoping not to bathe this poor new dog in tears. He will assuredly be a great companion and will offer more solace than my wife after the inevitable playoff elimination.
Go Bills?

Charles did look decent when he was here. My question is why are we not looking at upgrades at LB unless they aren't being announced.
Marsh would be an interesting signing if we cut bait we one of our underperforming DEs
I watched Marsh out here in Seattle. I think he's best fit as a 3-4 LB. He didn't overwhelm anyone on the pass rush, but covered ground quite well and came up well in the run defense. I thought back about his time in Seattle today when I saw he was cut and decided I just liked his name really.

Da Monster was supposed to follow right in the footsteps of Von Miller. Kinda' flamed out so far. I think he's just in Von's offseason entourage now........he has to clean the hen-house for room and board.
We could be so lucky to have him turn into DaMonster. Talk about not living up to a nickname....

It shouldn't surprise anyone if McDermott demonstrates stubbornness by deciding to double down as if his rookie QB is some prized prospect that's a key to the future of the franchise. Look at how many weeks they ran Tolbert out as the 2nd RB, Ducasse at the RG, and how he insisted the run D would hold up despite evidence to the contrary.
You are 100% correct. Fans that are surprised must not have been watching the season. So many confounding transactions, lineups and play calls. We have no choice but to follow the process other than quit being fans (but you're reading this so you won't), but trusting the process has gotten downright impossible over the last three weeks.

What's the over/under for how many days of evaluation McD takes? Will we know tomorrow or Thursday. If it's later, it seems ridiculous

You can find RB depth on the streets for next to nothing but since we are the Bills we will probably draft one with one of our first 5 picks next year.
Billsy move: pick Bryce Love in the first.
Browns Fire Sashi, announce Hue Jackson will return in 2018 (Dorsey may have other plans)

Agreed, but that team is far from devoid of talent. They nailed the Garrett pick and are loaded with picks this year. Whoever runs the draft there this year has an immense opportunity. I never understood the hiring of a non-football guy, but I don't think he failed miserably in his attempt to add an influx of talent. They're going to be able to draft Rosen this year and that lineup is suddenly going to look a whole lot better.
