What happened to the defensive player who got into it with McDermott after the NE game?  I believe McCoach said something to the effect of “I’ll be here next week, but you won’t.”?  I’ll be expecting a surprise healthy scratch on Sunday.  Any updates on this DD?

Nope...that was an unnamed coach saying "I'll be here next year".

Dan Wolfe's a legend in Dunkirk.  Famous artist/painter, good friends with Stevie Nix.  Used to paint for my father-in-law all the time.  But he went to Dunkirk, you said you went to Mindszenty...

The drama, the intrigue....these are the days of our lives...

Trying to check down if we have received any news on our complaints to the league office over the the two calls on Sunday.

No matter what news is passed on to you, the real response is "go away small market owner, and quit disrupting the system ".

Been an Allen fan but he may not be right for us.  He needs to sit behind a veteran QB and learn.  Who is he gonna learn from...Tyrod??? That's laughable unfortunately

That is the biggest consideration when selecting Allen. LAC would be a great fit for him. Sit behind Rivers for a couple of seasons and learn the NFL game. Peterman and Tyrod don't inspire confidence in that regard.

now, if Alex Smith were to be brought on board....

Not sure what you mean by "bad metrics" but if a player is capable of being an NFL franchise quarterback then he should fare much better than that in college.

Bad numbers, sorry. Sitting at work and got caught up in the lingo. He should show as higher than that, but you watch him and you know why he's got the amount of buzz about him that he does. To me he is much more Goff than Hackenberg and that was the comparison that my original post referenced.

  6. Let's all hope Marcus Murphy was a secret weapon being held back to surprise the Fins in the playoff-clinching win, because if let Tolbert run again or, God forbid, throw another slant (?!!!) to him I am going to go to OBD and choke out Rico. Love his story, but he cannot be relied upon in anything but the blocking game and we have had 16 weeks to see that.

So do you think Brandon Reilly sees a pass this Sunday?

Another thing we can hope for. Having 4 WR's last week was dumb as hell.

I voted for Josh Allen because I was thinking of Rosen. My bad.

I think Allen is Christian Hackenberg Part II.

A kid that has every physical attribute scout's drool over but sucks at football.

While I'm in the Mayfield camp on this one (His attitude brings to mind a certain great Bills QB who really didn't want to initially be in Buffalo), I really don't think Hackenberg and Allen are in the same category. Allen really knows how to play football, has a massive arm, great mobility and a great desire to improve and win. If he ends up as the Bills pick, no one should be surprised. He has to cut down a bit on his risky throws to succeed in the NFL, as playing vs sub par competition had him getting away with throws he never would in the NFL, but he's got the look and body of an NFL QB.

McD and Beane unloaded salary by trading Watkins and Dareus.  Here is what most will not accept.   The Bills are rebuilding.  Everybody is all hyped and excited the Bills are still being talked about as a potential playoff team.   Great if they make it because it would break the drought, but if they make the playoffs they will get drilled by whoever they end up playing.

Let me list the Bills needs:
    QB
    WR
    DT
    DE
    OLB
    ILB

    CB

That list tells me this a rebuild situation.

The fact that we won 8 or 9 games with a depleted roster was a nice achievement, but it hurt the overall strategy by lowering their draft position.

CB? Definitely correctly placed at the bottom of this list. Is that under the assumption that Gaines walks or based on his injuries?

So these pm's that DD is sending to people, what do they say?

    Form letter:

Thank you for your interest. I am receiving 100's of messages daily. Please do not be offended if I don't reply.

The Bills like Cousins and 31 back-ups and have looked closely at the Vikings situation. They will drat offence and defence in the draft, but would consider a trade if it came available.

    Sincerely,

Yep, I heard a couple Bills at least have called out the refs. Go ahead and take some fines to raise awareness. THAT was BS. The PI call? The TD? Really? That stuff changes games.

I agree and also believe that every owner not named Kraft should donate to cover these fines. Not one on-air personality or unbiased media member has so much as mentioned that as even a decent call. Not saying we win, but that was a morale and momentum changing call. Absolute BS.

So funny that some folks were cheered to get rid of the oft injured Sammy for this fella.

Sad thing is that, when healthy, he has made every bit as much of a difference as Sammy. The difference in the defence between when he plays and when he doesn't has been sizeable.

Finley....won’t cost extra Draft capital, hits all the buttons for the WCO, and great at all levels of field, with low INT and good completion percentage. Not perfect, not huge arm, but great solid prospect. Late first / early 2nd depending on combine, all IMHO. He would be a guy that would be good to either let him learn baptism by fire - 1st year - or develop a year or two behind Alex Smith.

Finley will be an interesting case if he comes out. Definitely has the attitude that McD seems to like, but you are right about the arm. It's accurate but he doesn't have much velocity behind those throws. I like the guy and am keen on seeing how he plays on Friday, but he would seem to me to be a low-risk, lower ceiling QB relative to a Lamar, Rudolph or Allen.

I'm heading up to Patriot-land on Sunday for the traditional Christmas Eve with the in-laws and will be fully outfitted in Bills gear.  Unfortunately, I don't have a sweater like that Raiders fan in the commercial for the NFL Shop.   GO BILLS!!

    Love that commercial.

I have a strange feeling about this game, like something magnificent is about to happen.

On the other hand, maybe it's just gas.

    Gas can be magnificent too.
