  1. Except for TE, DL, FB we aren't exactly stacked. Would be nice if the Bills had a CB on the PS, one safety who I never heard of. We can always cal up Colt Anderson or the CB we just released.

We are going to keep a lot of DLineman with their rotational scheme.

FWIW as Belichek always says you can never have enough CBs in this league, Pats have 5 CBs and 6 Safeties, so far that strategy isn't working out for them this season.

The Bills are going for quality over quantity? I like the starters and Wright is not the worst back-up in the league, but I still worry about cutting a guy like Mabin who was a solid system fit and showed a nose for the ball in the PS. Hopefully we see him on the practice squad and can call on him if someone goes down.

  2. Maybe he should be pissed at security. You can't do anything in the stands anymore. I can only scream really loudly when standing... sadly that is now banned from the stadium unless celebrating a particular play. Then it's back to your butt on a bench. Takes the fun out of it and disuades people from cheering/yelling.

They have been "changing the culture" in the stands too, to a PC, family friendly, no fun zone safe space. The atmosphere at THE RALPH has been disintegrated and subdued. Fans "wanted this" apparently, people want a sanitized environment so their kids don't hear any bad words or mean drunk people. The world is too rough for them, the delicate flowers. JMO

Gotta get everyone behaving before they put up big $ for a new stadium.

I'm kinda fired up about it, as you can probably infer.

    End rant\

This ties into the posts in regards to tailgating. If the stands are a sanitized, family friendly locale, then the party crowd, of which we have an abundance, is in no rush to get inside for the game. I've gone to Bills games in 4 decades now and the change has been remarkable in the last 5 years. Perhaps it coincided with that jackass sliding down the railing on the top deck?
  3. That A-hole is a good football coach. His team's are prepared and physical. They play to their talent level. He is the best coach that we have had in the drought. He's just an a-hole.

This has been my take on the matter as well. He quit on the team when we were seeing some improvements on key facets of the game and had the most hope for ending the drought. I don't forgive him for that or that it lead to us being subjected to two years of Rex.

  4. I dont get it either. I understand he wanted to hold out for better offers but it isnt like he had a mega contract before. At this point I would think he should be rethinking his offer unless he is going to wait until someone gets hurt this season.

Take it for what it's worth, but I have a friend with Fins connections who has told me they are not happy with Julius Thomas at TE and are looking at Barnridge.
  5. Certainly possible but he has never made an NFL team before and now he is here to be our main backup at a position McDermott says is the QB of the defense.

The majority of focus has been on the Jon Williams cut. In terms of actual impact, I think Hodges was an equal, if not greater, surprise. The guy was all over the field and looked like a key cog in the defense this season.

Also, Gunner, you weren't one of the posters I was speaking about who quit on the team. Scott Law was the most recent, but multiple posters have been stating "not watching games this year " and "done with this team" over the past months. I appreciate posters who express their opinions on the team and the moves made by the HO. I don't understand those that post despite openly quitting on the team.
