The Silver Lining?
transplantbillsfan replied to Sammy Watkins' Rib's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Same can even more easily be said for passing yards. -
Raiders, Dolphins, Browns and Jags vs Panthers, Broncos, Falcons and Bengals That's the difference in competition and particularly in the level of defenses played with the exception of the mutual game as the first game of the season. I think after the bye we are going to see Taylor's passing average go back up above 200 yards and the offense is going to look better. That was a murderers row to start the season in terms of competition. I'm glad I'm only in an out of here over our time up until the Bucs game because people are just being ridiculous with the way they're acting like the sky is falling for a team that is 3-2 and seriously exceeding expectations already. The Silver Lining?

I legitimately expect our offense to come out from the bye and look a lot better than they have, despite our depleted WR corps and missing Clay. We've had a murderer's row of a schedule and have done exactly what a good team is supposed to do: protect your home turf and steal some on the road. this has been a pretty crappy bye in terms of posting on here. I'm generally staying away because people are so melancholy about this team, which is ridiculous to me. this has been a pretty crappy bye in terms of posting on here. We're 3-2 and I bet we've had one of the toughest schedules through 5 games and we have been close to winning even the games we've lost. -
Yes, I'm satisfied. Not excited. Not even happy. But satisfied, yes. I care about this football team winning this year. I don't want a rookie fifth round draft pick who the coach clearly doesn't think is ready and isn't looking at as our long term answer given all of his efforts to acquire draft picks for next year being thrown in just because of the "grass is always greener on the other side" mentality. We can and are winning with Taylor. It's a little funny to me because even you were praising him after Denver and Atlanta. How quickly we forget. I think it's becoming more and more and more and more clear that McDermott plans on drafting a QB in the first round in 2018. Fine by me and fine by the rest of us, I'm sure. But I want to see us continue to win and be competitive right now. So yes, I'm satisfied. Do I want better? Of course. Am I willing to risk taking some serious steps back just to see what we have in some fifth round draft pick? No, we win now and let Taylor ride this out and draft his replacement in 2018 if things continue as they are. It's that simple.

Yeesh... how many pages of you guys going back and forth on this now? No one will ever change their minds. However, I think we can unequivocally say that McDermott isn't considering making a change at QB right now. I'm fine with "what if" threads because I've started them. But Peterman won't start any time soon, barring injury. Guys. It's the bye week. Go get outside.

Per report? You mean his report on passer rating? So... passer rating is acceptable to use when he has a bad game? But I guess you're going to dismiss his 106.7 passer rating last week? Or his 126 passer rating the week before against both the 3rd best defense and the 3rd best passing defense in the NFL? Or that his career passer rating is about the same as league MVP of 2016 Matt Ryan? Shady, you're name really fits you at this point. That's not a compliment.

11 players on offense 1 incredible RB learning a new outside zone running scheme 1 young TE thrust into a starting role due to injury with a guy who's a former QB playing TE while learning the position behind him A starting WR corps that consists of 2 guys with ZERO NFL catches combined in the NFL prior to 2017 and a guy primarily known for his special teams ability (pick Holmes or Tate cause both fit the bill) An OL that clearly can't run or pass block very well with a rookie at LT and an entire right side in shambles But yeah dude. It's clearly all our QB's fault. You're taking a pathetic dive with your posting.

So who are the other 1 or 2 you're talking about who always slam Taylor other than yourself?

We could go 11-5 and it's not all that crazy.
