  1. I really wonder at what point posters like @Deranged Rhino are going to acknowledge they were wrong about Biden and that he is, in fact, the most likely Democratic candidate... (and thus, our most likely next President )
  2. My bad. Math was never my strong suit. Once I go above 10 I'm off the map. But I can count to 5
  3. A few long passes? Less than 5 games? Jesus. Foster played the first 4 games last season, was cut and put on the PS, then came back for the last 8. Thus, he played in 14 games. You can agree to disagree opinion-wise as to his value, but you can't make up your own facts that he played in less than 5 games. And if you wanna call the back half of his season, where he came in the last 7 games and caught 25 passes for 511 yards and a couple TDs "a few long passes," then we have very different definitions of "few."
  4. At this point, Zay. Beane has talked up the kid so much, it would be a surprise based on that. Based on his play, not so much. Duke Williams started making his push for Zay's roster spot with last night's performance, though.
  5. In Wade's first 2 plays in an NFL uniform he gained 113 yards and scored a Touchdown. He's making a pretty damn good case for being put on the active roster.
  6. Good stuff. I disagree on your Singletary assessment, though. His numbers weren't great, but I thought it was pretty clear the kid has fantastic vision (I think Tasker mentioned Beane, in scouting him in college, said he had "elite vision") that resulted in extra yards where none should have come. Yeah, when you look at our RBs, it's Wade's numbers that pop out after game 1, but Singletary was the RB who impressed me most. Side note about Wade. There was nothing great in his TD run, though he showed he has speed, but I want to watch Wade get more carries in the upcoming preseason games to see how he runs in traffic. Agree about McKenzie. I think Ray Ray is the odd man out.
  7. Yep. Feels like the team is lighting a fire under his butt again this offseason. Hope he doesn't need too much of it.
  8. Did you read the whole article? I just posted snippets. Can't post the whole article per CoC, otherwise I would.
  9. https://theathletic.com/1125198/2019/08/08/how-the-bills-rallied-behind-robert-foster-when-he-nearly-threw-it-all-away/ It was supposed to be an unremarkable game, a joust between the 2-7 Bills and the 3-6 Jets in Week 10. The teams were on a combined seven-game losing streak and both starting backup quarterbacks. MetLife Stadium had no way of knowing how vital one play — the first play — would be to one young player. Bills rookie wide receiver Robert Foster lined up two yards behind the line of scrimmage, at the 23-yard line opposite Jets cornerback Trumaine Johnson. It was the Bills’ first offensive play of the game and Foster’s first in nearly a month. Hidden in Foster’s stance was nearly a month-and-a-half of frustration mixed with three weeks worth of unbridled motivation. His already lightning-fast speed was super-charged by raw emotion. Johnson didn’t stand a chance. ... “He got the message,” said head coach Sean McDermott. “Not early enough, but he got it eventually which, basically, saved his first year.” ... “(He was) a little bit comfortable because he had Daboll at ‘Bama, so they had the relationship. He thought he knew the offense,” fullback Patrick DiMarco said. “Sometimes young guys now think they have it figured out until they get here.” ... The Texans game was also significant because Josh Allen went down with an elbow injury that would keep him out for a month. The next week of practice was all-hands-on-deck to get Derek Anderson, who had been with the team for all of eight days, up to speed to start on Sunday. After practice that Wednesday, the entire offense worked together to run through the playbook on the field. Every player, from running back LeSean McCoy on down, stayed and worked. They all came together in a huddle at the end of the exercise. Well, most of them. Foster removed himself from the field several minutes before they were done and adjourned to the locker room. He’s known around the organization as a humble person and is liked by his teammates. Something was amiss with the young receiver. A day later, the Bills released Foster and called up wide receiver Cam Phillips from the practice squad. ... It was around that time that Bills players attempted to get through to him. “Shady (McCoy) pulled me aside. Dion Dawkins pulled me aside. Star (Lotulelei),” Foster recalled. “A lot of them was just talking to me, man. Basically, they told me I didn’t do anything, you know what I mean, for me to contribute to the team and to make the best of the opportunities.”
  10. Not if you're referring to my posts. Maybe someone else did, though.
  11. Wow. I really am amazed how entrenched some of you are in this. You say this violent philosophy is not common in Caucasian cultures. What about the KKK? Or Nazi Germany? Or are you only talking modern times and in America? How many subcultures do you think might exist on the Internet? How many forums exist out there where people can bounce ideas--even violent ones--off of others. I don't think it's a coincidence that these mass killings have coincided over the last few decades with the rise of the Internet and Social Media, which can itself be it's own culture. This forum, for example, clearly has it's own culture. And notice that even this forum is largely a sounding board of generally like-minded individuals, politically speaking. Sure, when you get a guy like The_Dude who takes things too far, he gets ousted. But there is something culturally even on this forum--angst, bitterness, derision--that made that poster (Who I've seen posting on regular Bills forums for YEARS and was never ever remotely close to that inflammatory) feel it was acceptable for him to say that. No individual on this forum is responsible for his words. But there's a culture here that rewards those characteristics I mentioned before. I come back because there are definitely those posters here like DerangedRhino, BuffaloGal and others who generally, if not completely avoid falling into that trap. And no, I really don't give a crap if I get called names or get trolled on here. It's an Internet forum and I have a life. However, there are those in our country who view social media and Internet forums as very very important aspects of their lives. And the reasons for that are not as simple as "they're mentally ill." I do. I also acknowledge the small chance I could be wrong in terms of his intentions.
  12. No, you didn't directly mention race. You just jumped to the conclusion that he was mentally ill, which would be fine if you defined ANY mass attack motivated by hatred of a particular race, religion, country, belief system, etc. primarily as the act of a "mentally ill" person. But I suspect you don't do that. If I am wrong, I apologize. No. It doesn't. I completely agree. But the fact that there have been peer reviewed studies examining just white vs black mass shootings that establish that the probability of the media narrative framing the white shooter as "mentally ill" is about 19 times higher than if it were a black shooter is problematic. And again, if as I said above you naturally identify any of these mass killings targeting a specific group carried out by ANY race as that of a mentally ill person, I apologize. What is your central argument on this? No, white people do not commit the most violent crimes in our country. They commit the most hate crimes, just not overall violent crimes. Still not seeing your point. Again, if you say this response is ubiquitous in all shootings, I apologize. It's been just hours since the shootings, though. Cases far from closed.
  13. Yeah it's mental. It was a white guy. Clearly mental. Gotta focus on those "mental issues" because it's a white dude. Can't call it terrorism. It was a white dude. But this happens and it's not a white dude... oh how the narrative shifts It's all just so goddamn frustrating
  14. That means yes, I'm guessing. Correct?
  15. You makin stuff up now? Please direct my attention (along with everyone else's) to that interaction with a link.
  16. This is a friendly bet. How do you define a friendly bet? There's no money involved here. Again, you've adamantly said that no Democrat on that stage stands a chance against Trump. Everyone in the field is just who's on that stage and who's in the Democratic party. Are you thinking someone like Michelle Obama is going to shock the world and jump into the race or something? Trump isn't running against the field. He's running against a single candidate. That candidate just hasn't been decided, yet. Odds don't make sense for a One vs. One scenario. Fine, I'll limit it to Trump vs. anyone who was on the stage during the last 2 debates alone. Better?
  17. I don't keep changing the stakes. I've been trying to get you to commit to this exact same friendly wager for awhile now. You said beers at a Bills game, which would be great except I can't make a Bills game this year and make them once a year if I'm lucky. I was a little overzealous with Biden being a lock. I think he is by far THE most likely democratic candidate running, though. Why do you need better odds? Have you been paying attention to what you've been saying about Trump vs. ANY of these democratic candidates? You've certainly been presenting absolute confidence that Trump would win. Why would you need better odds for that? Are you saying you're not actually that confident Trump is going to win?
  18. Are you ready, then, to commit to my proposed bet?
  19. Historically polls have been pretty accurate. Plus, polls weren't all that off in 2016. It's just that they were a representation of the popular vote and it was the electoral vote that got Trump into office. I see. So you suspect polls are lying because people lie and it would be closet case Trump voters doing the lying. Interesting. I wonder if that would be your suspicion if Trump were ahead in the polls... You should go to Vegas. You could become rich. Like Marty McFly's entire downfall was that he needed a book. You don't need one. In 30 years you could have your own DerangedRhino town. Think about it
