The reasons I won't vote for Biden.

Even Rasmussen has Biden over Trump by 12 points. I don't know if @Deranged Rhino is still perma-banned or if it's switched to temporary, but since I expect he can't stay away from this place forever he'll find a way back in some form... heck I'm sure he's reading through PPP on a daily basis. Whenever he gets back under whatever moniker, I hope he lives up to his end as the lover of our bet.

but they helped the wealthy MORE... and some actually saw increased tax liability... happened to a lot of middle class households making in the $100k range... exactly the people they professed they would help. Anecdotally. My wife and I never owed taxes before the Trump tax cuts came along. The last 2 years we've owed over $2k each year. We've ALWAYS claimed 0 on our Federal taxes. We're homeowners who are in that previously mentioned range, which is far from wealthy. We got hosed. Yes most of America saw tax benefits. The wealthy saw the most. -
2016 Election vs 2020 Election
transplantbillsfan replied to H2o's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
People stayed home or voted for 3rd party candidates. And that won't happen this year. It really is just that simple. Some of you act like there was this insane win for Trump in 2016 when the reality is that 70,000+ votes across 3 states won the election for Trump. I get it. I see Trump voters and the "Trump trains" out there, too. They're desperate. That's fine. They're the vocal minority. America in 2016: " Fool me once, shame on you." America in 2020: "Fool me twice, shame on me." The country won't shame itself this time. -

No. Jim is the liberal who thinks he should be paying at MOST 20% while he holds $40k of that $50k while Jack (probably his employer) should throw in that 25% he can easily afford while he still pockets $187+k of the money he likely made thanks in large part to Jim's hard work. -

I'm not ignoring it. Notice the very 1st thing I posted. It was a question you ignored. I wonder why... -

Yes. Sorry. I should've clarified. Chiefs game is in the title as "later in the weekend" so I just assumed it'd be... well... the weekend. -

Did you even bother looking at the analysis? You guys like to accuse liberals of being all feelz and no facts... try wearing your facts hat and acknowledge that the 2017 tax cuts disproportionately helped the wealthy and is ultimately disastrous for our annual National deficit and thus our debt.., Wait a minute!!!! All that debt is money we're borrowing from China!!! Trump must work for China!!! -

Did I touch a nerve? 60% of the tax savings went to the top 20% of earners and the corporate tax rate went up by 40%. https://www.taxpolicycenter.org/publications/distributional-analysis-conference-agreement-tax-cuts-and-jobs-act/full Don't fall into the same trap so many of you here seem to fall into and let your own experiences get in the way of the actual facts. -

The Bills are playing on a Tuesday. Why aren't we just keeping up this trend of 2 MNF games so that our game is still primetime AND the competitive advantage issue isn't as big a deal as Buffalo gets an extra day to rest up by playing on Monday? The NFL already has the template with the last couple Monday nights. Why isn't that an option? -

Such hypocrisy. Trump’s tax cuts. Giving away more money (centered on Trump’s super rich buddies) we have to borrow from China. Trump’s been running the Federal deficit bigger and bigger each year, despite campaign promises to rein in the National debt. His entire term has run deficits that have been increasing each year and each of his first 3 years in office had deficits larger than each of Obama's last 3 years in office. This year will obviously be ginormous. We're on track to have a national debt equal to our economy. As much crap as Republicans and conservatives talk about reining in our debt, they're the ones who tend to build it more than Democrats. And that includes Donald Trump even before the Pandemic. -

What is the bolded? I sure do think you're trolling. For starters, Paris Climate Accord, Iran Nuclear Deal, Affordable Care Act... those are for starters... it's all Trump has been trying to do during his Presidency. He has a massive inferiority complex and knows Obama was and remains one of the most popular Presidents in history. -

As I said before, "he's not Trump" is pretty much all the reason many, MANY Americans need at this point. He's an awful, AWFUL President. Joe Biden was Vice President to probably the best President in a generation. Biden's already emphasized much of what he'll be doing is restoring the portions of the Obama legacy that Trump has been seeking to tear down because of his Inferiority Complex. Trump has done more damage to our country in one term than I admit even I thought after he was elected in 2016. That's really the only reason I need. And if your question is why I think Trump is an awful, AWFUL President, I'm still hunting down the detailed post I had in my interaction with @Buffalo_Gal -

So now you're trying to imply Biden doesn't have a platform? Maybe you're upset you didn't get to hear him say anything about policy or platform in the debate. Blame your President who couldn't shut up. But yes, Biden does have a plan you could find very easily: Plenty of details right here: https://joebiden.com/joes-vision/# You sure? I'm not seeing it. -
I started typing a long post in response to this and realized I was wasting my breath. I've wasted my time reading some of the crap DR and others have posted here. Ultimately, you guys (I include you because you reference him) just love to cherry pick often without context. That's my biggest finding when reading some of these documents I wish I didn't waste my time reading. You're so fascinated with the bark on the tree you've lost the forest surrounding it.

Wait a minute... are you actually trying to say Trump KEEPS his promises???? au contraire mon frère Here are just some of Trump’s campaign promises: "invest $550 billion to ensure we can export our goods and move our people faster and safer." "Allow individuals to use Health Savings Accounts (HSAs). Contributions into HSAs should be tax-free and should be allowed to accumulate." “I’m not going to cut Social Security like every other Republican and I’m not going to cut Medicare or Medicaid.” “We're bringing it (the GDP) from 1 percent up to 4 percent. And I actually think we can go higher than 4 percent. I think you can go to 5 percent or 6 percent.” “We can provide six weeks of paid maternity leave to any mother with a newborn child whose employer does not provide the benefit.” “The insurance companies are getting rich off health care and health insurance and everything having to do with health. We’re going to end that. We’re going to take out the artificial boundaries, the artificial lines. We’re going to get a plan where people compete, free enterprise.” “This deal if I win will be a totally different deal. This will be a totally different deal.” (this is about the Iran deal... nothing has happened, so yeah,, different deal because no deal) "I would build a great wall, and nobody builds walls better than me, believe me, and I’ll build them very inexpensively. I will build a great great wall on our southern border and I’ll have Mexico pay for that wall." “We will build an active army around 540,000 as the army’s Chief of Staff has said he needs desperately and really must have to protect our country.” "We’ve got to get rid of the $19 trillion in debt. ... Well, I would say over a period of eight years. And I’ll tell you why.” "Allow individuals to fully deduct health insurance premium payments from their tax returns under the current tax system." "It can be done. ... It will take place and it will go relatively quickly. ... If you have the right people, like, in the agencies and the various people that do the balancing ... you can cut the numbers by two pennies and three pennies and balance a budget quickly and have a stronger and better country." (About balancing the budget) "As part of this reform, we will eliminate the carried interest deduction and other special interest loopholes that have been so good for Wall Street investors, and for people like me, but unfair to American workers." "The 3.8 percent Obamacare tax on investment income will be repealed, as will the alternative minimum tax." "The Trump Plan will collapse the current seven tax brackets to three brackets." -

I've talked policy and Trump. I've expressed all my grievances about them. I quickly tried to search for my post in my interaction earlier this year with @Buffalo_Gal but had no luck after a few minutes and I'm about to enjoy my beer while I read my book sitting outside in my favorite chair. Maybe she'll help you find the post if you can't. Yes I hate Trump the person. I also hate him as our Commander-in-Chief. And the bungling of the Pandemic is just the latest, most grievous example. And no. 215 thousand people wouldn't have died if just about anyone was President. That's the endless defense coming from his cult while widespread reporting since the beginning of the Pandemic (and before it hit our shores) has emphasized many instances of him bungling it--another longer conversation with another poster in the Pandemic thread you can go look for... but heck take Trump’s own tape recorded words with Woodward where he openly admits he wants to downplay the virus... if you think him doing that hasn't influenced people and cost American lives, you're truly lost. Oh I know I know I know... "you believe MSM?!?! Bwahahaha!!!" And that's your problem on this message board. You believe you're you're own best information gatherers, even when you gather that "information" randomly from some dude on Twitter. Well, rather than bicker with someone this wildly set in his perception of a terrible President, I am going to read my book and enjoy my beer. Good evening, sir -

So much I disagree with here but I'm not going through a point by point rebuttal rehashing crap I've brought up before for the umpteenth time. For the most part you and many like you have hitched your wagon to a man who among other th8ngs, has so shamed our country that we are no longer that shining "City upon a hill" we once were. It's going to to be a long time to undo Trump’s damage.
