  1. So now you're trying to imply Biden doesn't have a platform? Maybe you're upset you didn't get to hear him say anything about policy or platform in the debate. Blame your President who couldn't shut up. But yes, Biden does have a plan you could find very easily: Plenty of details right here: https://joebiden.com/joes-vision/# You sure? I'm not seeing it.
  2. I started typing a long post in response to this and realized I was wasting my breath. I've wasted my time reading some of the crap DR and others have posted here. Ultimately, you guys (I include you because you reference him) just love to cherry pick often without context. That's my biggest finding when reading some of these documents I wish I didn't waste my time reading. You're so fascinated with the bark on the tree you've lost the forest surrounding it.
  3. Wait a minute... are you actually trying to say Trump KEEPS his promises???? au contraire mon frère Here are just some of Trump’s campaign promises: "invest $550 billion to ensure we can export our goods and move our people faster and safer." "Allow individuals to use Health Savings Accounts (HSAs). Contributions into HSAs should be tax-free and should be allowed to accumulate." “I’m not going to cut Social Security like every other Republican and I’m not going to cut Medicare or Medicaid.” “We're bringing it (the GDP) from 1 percent up to 4 percent. And I actually think we can go higher than 4 percent. I think you can go to 5 percent or 6 percent.” “We can provide six weeks of paid maternity leave to any mother with a newborn child whose employer does not provide the benefit.” “The insurance companies are getting rich off health care and health insurance and everything having to do with health. We’re going to end that. We’re going to take out the artificial boundaries, the artificial lines. We’re going to get a plan where people compete, free enterprise.” “This deal if I win will be a totally different deal. This will be a totally different deal.” (this is about the Iran deal... nothing has happened, so yeah,, different deal because no deal) "I would build a great wall, and nobody builds walls better than me, believe me, and I’ll build them very inexpensively. I will build a great great wall on our southern border and I’ll have Mexico pay for that wall." “We will build an active army around 540,000 as the army’s Chief of Staff has said he needs desperately and really must have to protect our country.” "We’ve got to get rid of the $19 trillion in debt. ... Well, I would say over a period of eight years. And I’ll tell you why.” "Allow individuals to fully deduct health insurance premium payments from their tax returns under the current tax system." "It can be done. ... It will take place and it will go relatively quickly. ... If you have the right people, like, in the agencies and the various people that do the balancing ... you can cut the numbers by two pennies and three pennies and balance a budget quickly and have a stronger and better country." (About balancing the budget) "As part of this reform, we will eliminate the carried interest deduction and other special interest loopholes that have been so good for Wall Street investors, and for people like me, but unfair to American workers." "The 3.8 percent Obamacare tax on investment income will be repealed, as will the alternative minimum tax." "The Trump Plan will collapse the current seven tax brackets to three brackets."
  4. I've talked policy and Trump. I've expressed all my grievances about them. I quickly tried to search for my post in my interaction earlier this year with @Buffalo_Gal but had no luck after a few minutes and I'm about to enjoy my beer while I read my book sitting outside in my favorite chair. Maybe she'll help you find the post if you can't. Yes I hate Trump the person. I also hate him as our Commander-in-Chief. And the bungling of the Pandemic is just the latest, most grievous example. And no. 215 thousand people wouldn't have died if just about anyone was President. That's the endless defense coming from his cult while widespread reporting since the beginning of the Pandemic (and before it hit our shores) has emphasized many instances of him bungling it--another longer conversation with another poster in the Pandemic thread you can go look for... but heck take Trump’s own tape recorded words with Woodward where he openly admits he wants to downplay the virus... if you think him doing that hasn't influenced people and cost American lives, you're truly lost. Oh I know I know I know... "you believe MSM?!?! Bwahahaha!!!" And that's your problem on this message board. You believe you're you're own best information gatherers, even when you gather that "information" randomly from some dude on Twitter. Well, rather than bicker with someone this wildly set in his perception of a terrible President, I am going to read my book and enjoy my beer. Good evening, sir
  5. So much I disagree with here but I'm not going through a point by point rebuttal rehashing crap I've brought up before for the umpteenth time. For the most part you and many like you have hitched your wagon to a man who among other th8ngs, has so shamed our country that we are no longer that shining "City upon a hill" we once were. It's going to to be a long time to undo Trump’s damage.
  6. Maybe not "bad" as in "evil." He’s just the the most self-serving, corrupt, tone deaf, lying, cheating idiots we've ever had sitting in the Oval Office. I will give him this, though. I don't personally think it's so much his fault as his father's. I really wonder if his father ever cared enough to take him to a Doctor to see if he might not have a learning disability... my guess would be he has at least a mild form of Asberger's syndrome. But back to your point. Yes. You're basically right. That's why I don't like him. That's what's made him a horrible President. By "mandate to govern" you mean he's the President and the buck stops with him? Yes. And he will. However, I think you and others are conflating "mandate to govern" with micromanagement. He will surround himself with people he trusts to implement his policies in his cabinet. He would still be governing by doing that.
  7. Because he’s not Donald Trump. It's just that simple. This might be the worst Presidency in history. Even before the debacle of the last year he was actively working to divide our country, tear down our democracy and was overtly corrupt. This "anti-establishment" fervor you guys have here is misguided. Your wild mistrust of experts is silly. It's one of the most annoying things about this forum and the reason it's often identified as a cesspool of conspiracy theories. And now 215 thousand people are dead in our country from a Pandemic Donald Trump constantly downplays as no big deal. He's honestly just friggin terrible. Even before the Pandemic I had an exchange with @Buffalo_Gal explaining all the reasons he's an awful President. There were a lot. Since then we've added the Pandemic, an economy that's slowed down drastically in its recovery in the last 2 months, racial conflicts the likes of which we haven't seen since the Civil Rights movement, and just a general abandonment of any decorum whatsoever--look no further than the last debate for an example of that last one. The fear of 4 more years of Donald Trump is what determined my vote for Biden a long time ago. This last year just solidified it for most of those Americans who may have been undecided but have now swung wildly towards Biden.
  8. So even if Buffalo keeps testing negative would any practices or the game itself be at risk with a Raider DT who played Sunday now on Covid reserve? At what point does the NFL determine Buffalo is out of the woods?
  9. Wow. Reading through all the crap that's happened... maybe the actual problem is that PPP is a "mod free zone." I think even the most ardent and veteran posters in this subforum will concede that this is at least a right leaning forum... and I think that might be generous. Right now we have the most divisive President in generations and luckily for this board that President aligned with the views of the majority of the consistent posters in this forum in ways they never probably thought possible. What they didn’t likely anticipate is that would make this forum a magnet for people of such opposing views that they just had to vocalize somewhere... that's how I got here. I promised myself a long time ago I'd never go into a political forum to talk politics. But then Donald Trump was elected. And despite all my best hopes, his Presidency has gone even worse than I ever could have expected. Thus, I am here. As are more of the liberals you guys think have ruined this board, I suspect. Our reason for coming here to talk politics are likely exactly why so many of you (including DR) came to talk politics when you first did: something political was frustrating you if not pissing you off. But now you're praising the establishment we're railing against... and you're still playing victim. I will probably try to go away from this forum once Biden is elected. But given the already established divisiveness here, I don't know how things can be managed without a Mod.
  10. I think it's entertaining that he's being martyred. I have been here at PPP for over 3 years now. He got worse in the time I've been here. I went through periods of avoiding this forum just because it's been toxic the entire time (don't know why people are arguing this place has deteriorated in the last year when it was the same 3 years ago... I guess now there are just more lefties now who disagree with the majority of right leaning posters and that just upsets them???) and DR would troll me constantly trying to pull me back over. And sometimes I would come back and engage. And then he'd resort to name-calling. And when he was wrong and proven wrong he'd resort to name-calling. DR didn’t change. Him going mostly unchallenged on the big ideological anti-establishment agenda is what changed. Oh. Plus he made a bet with me he knew he was going to lose. Now he won't have to abide by the terms of that bet. That may or may not be related 🤔
  11. https://theathletic.com/2115216/2020/10/05/seven-observations-from-bills-win-josh-allen-dominates-defense-shows-up?source=user-shared-article Allen is turning into the QB the Bills hoped for Allen put together an incredible passing performance for the fourth straight game, coming up again with clutch throws. We’re witnessing a young quarterback turning into a budding superstar. Every week, Allen keeps giving more reasons as to why he’s far beyond the player we saw last season. For starters, there’s the accuracy. Allen has yet to complete less than 68 percent of his passes in a game, and for the season, he’s completing 71 percent of passes. Allen was also on against the Raiders, completing 24 of 34 attempts, but five incompletions were due to either a drop or a throwaway to avoid a negative play. His adjusted completion percentage against Las Vegas was an incredible 82.8 percent. And it isn’t just how often he found his target, it’s how he was completing his passes. It’s the depth of target, the confidence to hit small windows and how he manipulates the defense with his progressions to find receivers down the field. Allen’s should-have-been touchdown throw to John Brown that officials ruled down at the 1 was an all-world completion. Only a handful of players have the confidence, zip and accuracy potential to make that play, and Allen pulled it off. Even more, we’ve witnessed Allen do away with his panicking against unique blitzes. No longer does he wilt under pressure. In the past, Allen either turned his back and took the sack or he bailed out of the pocket without a plan. With the help of offensive coordinator Brian Daboll and quarterbacks coach Ken Dorsey, Allen almost always has a backup plan. If a defense sends pressure he didn’t expect, he knows where his quick read is most of the time. Allen has improved in every area of his game. Does he still have some regrettable plays? Absolutely. He took a sack to knock the Bills out of field goal range, and he recklessly flipped forward a pass that resulted in an injury. But those plays are so few and far between these days that they aren’t huge issues any longer. Allen has taken his game to another level and is playing the best football by a Bills quarterback since Jim Kelly. The weight of that sentence is not lost on me, and it’s not something you write without plenty of evidence. It’s immense praise, but Allen has deserved it this season. His performance helped put away two potential playoff teams in consecutive weeks. Allen is on the shortlist in the early season MVP discussion and appears to be headed to superstar status. We’ve been tracking his immense growth for two seasons, including an in-depth breakdown of what he could become from this offseason. Allen is the story of the season, and if he keeps it up, the Bills will continue to be the team that no one wants to play.
  12. To quote SDS directly, this is a "politics subforum in Buffalo Bills COMMUNITY" (capitalized for my own emphasis, obviously... and he emphasizes this point multiple times) and "This is a Buffalo Bills community. It's a simple statement." and "I don't run 4chan for Bills fans" and "I don't run The Donald for Bills fans." Being a Bills fan seems implicit if you're part of the Buffalo Bills community... which is what everyone here in PPP is, according to the owner of this website.
  13. It's what I do? Who the heck else have I done that to? I'm actually PISSED DR got perma-banned if that's what actually happened. He and I made a bet and now he will have no way to live up to that bet when he loses next month. I just ignore the useless idiots who don't post any substance and just spew vitriol... and right now there are only 2 on my ignore list. I'm just entertained by others like @Teddy KGB who almost hyperbolically just tries to get under anyone's skin... it's comical and I need a good laugh every once in awhile... besides, he also has pretty good taste in TV shows, so I might've missed out on a gem like Peaky Blinders that I'm making my way slowly through if not for him. And again, I know he's actually a Bills fan. He deserves to be here. Frankly that's what I thought all of us had in common. I'm disappointed that's not the case. And it just doesn't make much sense for a non Bills fan or a non football fan to be here.
  14. Brah, scroll to the top of the page. What do you see? This is a sub-forum of a Buffalo Bills website, as indicated by the "Two Bills Drive" right above "Buffalo Bills News" right at the top of the page you're looking at right now. As much as I've often disagreed with DR and am now resenting the fact that he won't be able to own up to his part of the bargain when he loses our bet next month, I at least know that he was a Bills fan. What the hell brought you here??
  15. Not according to SDS. Why don't you go to 4chan? Seems it'd be a better home for someone who wants to talk alt-right politics and isn't a Bills fan.
  16. Wait... So you've been posting regularly in a Bills forum and you aren't even a Bills fan?!?! How do you know?
  17. DR=Donald Trump apparently I've never seen such uproar TWICE for a poster getting banned for a month. Clearly all the PPP Trump-Culters should just cast their ballots for @Deranged Rhino on November 3rd, right? Who needs Donald Trump
  18. Just such an incredible pass. Not that the "what if" game matters much, but if he were credited with a TD on that play and weren't given that stupid INT, his Passer Rating would be 127.8... just a note...
  19. https://theathletic.com/2115017/2020/10/04/thats-our-general-josh-allen-shows-another-side-of-himself-in-win-over-vegas?source=user-shared-article ‘That’s our general’: Josh Allen shows another side of himself in win over Vegas For a moment, it looked like the Bills were about to find out just how valuable Josh Allen is. With just under five minutes to play in the first half of the Bills’ 30-23 win over the Raiders, the Bills were facing third-and-10. Allen did what he always does: He tried to make a play. Nobody was open, so Allen scrambled to his left. Inexplicably, Allen managed a backhand flip to Stefon Diggs with Raiders defenders beginning to drive him to the ground. Diggs hauled it in but gained only 8 of the 10 yards needed. Meanwhile, Raiders defensive end Arden Key helped collapse Allen to the field. As the Bills got ready to attempt a field goal, Allen grimaced and grabbed his left arm. Almost immediately, he made his way to the locker room. ... “I had no idea,” Hyde said. “Josh is tough. He was still walking around carrying around like normal Josh.” Allen was in pain. But the injury was to his non-throwing shoulder, so he never missed a play. After the game, Allen downplayed the injury and whatever toughness he showed gutting through it. He said he’d get some treatment and that it wouldn’t be a big deal. His teammates noticed. And they didn’t just notice that he played through the injury but that he did so without much of a complaint. ... He leads the NFL with 21 completions and 585 yards on passes that travel 15 yards or more in the air. During a season when offenses are scoring at a record pace, Allen is second to Dak Prescott with 21 completions of 20 or more yards. The Bills tried to stress Allen during their shortened training camp by throwing a variety of defensive coverages at him. ... For the first time in his career, Allen didn’t gain positive yardage on the ground. He ran only three times and lost 1 yard. One of those runs was a 1-yard rush for a touchdown after he hurt his shoulder. Otherwise, he stayed in the pocket and completed passes to nine receivers. Five had multiple receptions. Allen said before the season he wanted to put more emphasis on distributing the ball to his playmakers. When he ran 14 times for 57 yards and a touchdown in the season opener, that comment seemed like lip service. In the three games since, however, Allen has combined to run the ball 11 times for 26 yards.
  20. Thanks for pointing that one out. I didn't bother looking it up. I threw the question out legitimately. He threw 20 passes in a week 1 game against a team who obviously spent MONTHS obviously game planning for his legs. Like I said, he benefits from a BRILLIANT Coaching staff. After that his lowest rushing total on the year was 40 yards against Buffalo where we blew a play on a Tight End for a long TD but otherwise set the blueprint that other teams would follow to beat him. Last week Allen had 8 yards rushing. This week Allen had -1 yards rushing with kneeldowns and a 1 yd QB rushing TD. Allen won both games and was pretty much MVP of both games... don’t think we ever see that from Jackson.
  21. Shaw I won't read all 23 pages to determine whether you're being chastised or not, but if you'll remember after Allen/Jackson/Mayfield/Darnold's rookie year I watched every single snap of those QBs along with to determine Allen’s "inaccuracy" compared to his peers in their rookie years... this included other rookie years from good QBs like Watson, Wentz, etc. In that analysis I had some commentary about Allen I thought relevant to this thread and your point: "The work so many stress Allen needs to do in the offseason regarding mechanics and just improving as a pocket passer is Jackson ×100. Baltimore does some brilliant stuff on offense in order to get WRs consistently pretty wide open and/or providing Jackson with just a single read passing wise. If anyone reminds me of Tebow this year, it's Jackson, and it's not even close." That was what I thought after watching Jackson his rookie year. Last year with an entire offseason and relatively limited rookie year film, I think the Ravens really had the benefit of brilliant offensive game planning that was all-in on a unique system tailored to a unique athlete. I don't know if the league has caught up with him, yet, but Josh Allen had -1 yards rushing today (obviously due to kneel downs): has Lamar Jackson EVER had a game where he didn't have any--or even MANY, like over 10--rushing yards in a game and been integral to a Win with his arm?
  22. No. Throw Davis in there and our WR corps is special. Honestly I'm pretty amazed how good Diggs is all by himself.
  23. Why does is Wednesday the last possible day for them to open their facility and play on Sunday? Is this a competitive advantage thing? If it is, it doesn't make sense to punish other teams like Buffalo that are doing everything right. The way I see it is that they're all isolating themselves now and aren't at the facility interacting, right? If they have consecutive days this week and it's Tuesday Wednesday or Wednesday Thursday, you play the game and they just get less practice time.
  24. I'm loving the lack of designed runs. Let him win with his arm. We all know how dangerous he is with his legs, I want him to reserve using his legs for plays where protection breaks down AND he can't find an open WR. Frankly though with Diggs and even Davis now in our WR lineup, he seems to have no problem finding open guys.
