Hannah honey was a peachy kind of girl
Her eyes were hazel
And her nose was slightly curved
We spent one lonely night at the Memory Motel
It's on the ocean
I guess you know it well
Best radio station ever! I worked at the Sheraton hotel and we had a transistor radio so we would listen to it while we worked. The boss didn't mind because he loved the station too. Great memories of a great time to be young.
I went to the Rossington Collins concert at the Utica Auditorium. RIP Gary.
I listened to WOUR constantly in the late 70s through early 80s. I still remember some of the DJ names... Jerry Kraus, Robin. Andy Cleary was in my accounting class at Utica college. I remember they had 96 cent concerts at Four Acres. Saw some great concerts there. I even remember every night at 8:10PM they would give the upcoming concerts schedule.
I was working that night at a hotel. I was a bellboy. I was at the front desk and the parking lot attendant came in and mentioned to me how disappointed he was that he had to be working and had to miss the final episode of MASH. The girl working at the front desk overheard this and gave us a key to an unoccupied hotel room so we could watch it there. She said she would call the room if anyone checking in needed help with luggage. The parking lot attendant raised the parking lot gates so he didn't have to be there. We got a couple drinks from the bar and took them to the room and watched there.
London calling to the imitation zone
Forget it brother, you can go it alone
London calling to the zombies of death
Quit holding out and draw another breath
Because I'm hungry for those good things baby
Hungry through and through
Well I'm hungry for that sweet ilife baby
With I real fine girl like you
I can almost taste it
It's sweet as wine
They got Chuck Berry up in outer space
Singing Johnny B Good
Down on earth he's doing time
Said he'd pay those taxes if he could
It's all so complicated now
My favorite Repo Man quote: The lights are growing dim. I know a life of crime brought me to this sorry fate. And yet, I blame society. Society made me what I am.
Repo Man (1984)
Why? It's totally original, weird, funny, great characters and dialogue.
Seen it at least 50 times.
A Clockwork Orange would be in my top 5 favorite movies.
