Right now I think all there will be is some college football along with golf & nascar. Unless someone pulls a miracle vaccine out of their butt Sept 1st? -

I was too. Really thought we'd battle it out with KC/Balt. for the AFC title. -

Well the last time we played Minnesota we basically "routed" them. Maybe you were rooting for them. -

The virus will dictate everything. Some are taking it seriously and some are not. It wouldn't surprise me if baseball, basketball and football are all lost this year. A vaccine probably won't be ready till December or January. Forget about a 2nd wave. We haven't even come down from our initial curve. Countries like Italy & Spain have bottomed out on their first curve yet nationally we're just going straight across. They're now projecting 200k dead in the US by Oct 1st. Every time a player tests positive it will freak out the rest (players, coaches & personnel). Just human nature. I pray I'm wrong but I see MLB, NBA & NFL in serious jeopardy. -

I would not only support Sean but applaud him. I will be shocked if the entire Bills team isn't kneeling before the game. I could care less if its before, during or after the anthem. Last I checked the flag also stands for "Liberty and Justice for ALL!. The military doesn't have exclusive rights with regards to the meaning of the flag. Let the movement continue, long overdue.

Exactly, the last qb I want Josh to become is Trentative....I don't think we have to worry about that. He doesn't give up downs. -

I'm not denying that NFL viewership has gone up and down the last decade. But for this year 2020 you're telling me that every single season ticket holder unable to attend a game, will not find a way to watch it? And that factors in if every single player kneels before a game. -

Every sport in the nation is losing a ton of money this year. TV ratings will actually be way up since fans will not be allowed entry. The virus was the first blow and now racism issues and the guarantee that many players will kneel will also cause some backlash. Kaep was justified 4 years ago and you'll see many more players both black and white join the cause. It was never about the flag. It was about creating a mechanism to draw attention to police brutality. The NFL has egg on their face and if they want to completely wipe it off then Kaep better be in a roster. I'd take him anyday over the noodle arms of Barkley or Fromm. -

Is now the time to remove OJ Simpson from the wall of fame and HOF?
LABILLBACKER replied to Beast's topic in The Stadium Wall
This is an unnecessary thread. The probable murder by OJ had nothing to do with police brutality or racism. His acts after football should matter. Especially if it involves a multiple murder. I'd have no problem seeing his 32 replaced with Kyle or Fred. But the bottom line is OJ's true punishment will take place when he's gone. There's no golf courses in hell. -

I love how people think murdering someone is a political act. How embarrassing. -

Last I checked sports are played by human beings, not robots. Every person on this planet has a right to his or her opinion on anything. Especially events that involve humanity, police brutality and racism. This whole idea of "shut up and dribble" is dripping in ignorance. Systemic Racism has been handed down from generation to generation for 400 years. If we don't all have a voice then what's the point of sports. What's the point of living. We need to keep talking, evolving in the fight against racism. -
Goodell Admits NFL Was Wrong Not to Listen
LABILLBACKER replied to K-9's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I realize that most cops are great amazing people who would do the right thing. But the problem is alot of people say it's only 1% who are bad(racist). Just a few "bad apples". There are 16,000 police departments in the US. And there are 16,000 different ways these officers are trained. I'm afraid the amount of so called bad officers is higher than 1%. There were 4 cops on that George Floyd call and 100% of them chose to commit a heinous act. We have to vet police candidates better. We need some type of federally mandated training without choke holds and knee drops. But most importantly we need systemic racism to end forever. We need to recount the apples. -
But is it a "Bigly" wall.

Goodell Admits NFL Was Wrong Not to Listen
LABILLBACKER replied to K-9's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Amen. They were all complicit in denouncing and blackballing Kaep. How truly sincere these owners are now to really support destroying racism may definitely be more motivated by money. All it would've taken is 1 white owner coming to the support of Kaep in 2016. But none had the stones or moral conviction to do it. -

This was long overdue. I'm glad the league is finally recognizing this. Too bad it took another murder of a black man for this to happen. I'm an old white guy who hoped the civil rights of the 60's or the Rodney King riots would spark a true change. But it didn't happen. 400 years dating back to 1619 Virginia. White silence must end forever. A true change is comin...... We may cut Fromm and sign Kaep. He'd be better than Barkley/ Fromm anyway. -
Drew Brees: Controversial comments
LABILLBACKER replied to billrooter's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
As a old white guy I agreed with Kaep and his kneeling. He used this platform to draw attention to the systemic racism that has existed in the country for way too long. It was never about disrespecting the flag. And last I checked, the flag also stands for "liberty and justice for all". Not just for white people. Drew screwed up during a very volatile yet important time in our country. He was tone deaf. I don't consider Brees a racist but he did speak with a sense of entitlement. When that flag goes up I think of alot more than my marine corp father who got to return to a world of white privilege. Black military didn't experience that luxury. Change has to happen now. We need to listen and do a hell of alot more than has been done over the last several decades. -
Add Tennessee and Tannehill to that group. Buffalo at the very least should be somewhere between 8-10. At least King got NE pretty accurate.
