Me posting this thread during a slow news time and then vanishing:
I was only away from the computer for two hours, and this thing is already at 6 pages.
Man, I love how crazy Bills fans are! ?1 hour ago, john wawrow said:That warrow guy's a dope.

He's alright.
I mean he's no Paul Westerberg, but....few are.-

This regime doesn’t let info like that leak.
Meh. They literally let a picture of their QB board from last year get onto Twitter. Ben Albright knew for like 4 months that the Bills were all in on Allen. They're not infallible. -
Verrrrry interesting. In one of the comments below, someone asks him if thats just opinion or if he's actually heard anything. He replies that he doesn't really HAVE draft opinions. Take that for what you will...-

Sounds like Chris Kelsay.... guarantee Bills take him.
Spoken like someone who's never watched Wilkins play. The difference between Wilkins and Kelsay is that Wilkins is a supreme athletic specimen.-

I don't believe the Bills have ever had an athletically superior tight end.
You must have missed the Shawn Nelson era!-

Yes, Campbell instead of Bettis for sure.
This discussion is repeated on message boards over and over, all over the country.
You know what discussion DOESN'T appear nearly so often? Best RECEIVER of all time. That's a very short discussion.
I think the Receiver discussion should involve who fills out spots 2 through 5, since we all know who number 1 is and always will be.
TIGHT END....now there's a discussion that will produce a lot of different answers. -
I planned to make a thread closer to draft day, but I think there's a very good chance Wilkins is the Bills' pick in the first round.
He has off the charts intangibles, leadership, and character, and a non stop motor. His coach said "even though he's first string, he plays every down like he's trying to make the team". If that doesn't sound like a prototypical McDermott first rounder, I don't know what does.-

I'll tell you all one thing: If the Bills lose this social media popularity contest, I'm disavowing my Bills fanhood forever and becoming a Saints fan!

Crazy all this said about him and he will be fighting for a roster spot this year. Hopefully he wasn't just a fluke like many.
I doubt it.
I would put the chances of his not making the roster at 1%. -
Personally, I think all the people that say they "don't Twitter" are missing out on good football coverage.
It's pretty simple. Once you join, you just "follow" all of the Buffalo sportswriters that interest you. You don't ever actually have to "Tweet" or interact with anyone. When I scroll through my feed, it has Joe Buscaglia, Sal Capaccio, Matthew Fairburn, Tim Graham, Benjamin Albright, Daniel Jeremiah, Jon Ledyard, Cover 1, Chris Brown, etc....It's basically just a Bills/football news feed.
It's indisputably the fastest way to get Bills news as it breaks.
As an added bonus, if you choose to, you CAN attempt to interact with various people that you would otherwise not have the chance to. For instance, I have twice suggested articles to Sports Illustrated that I'd like to see written, and both times, I got a reply stating that they were good ideas, and the articles were then written. What other platform would give me that type of chance?

It is so hard to think of just ONE all time greatest running back.
It's easier (and more fun) for me to imagine my dream running back depth chart.
Jim Brown
Barry Sanders
Thurman Thomas
You've got your big bruiser, your change of pace and home run guy, and your 3rd down back and expert pass blocker.
A guy can dream. -
The top tight end in the draft, a quality 3T, and an offensive tackle? Where do I sign up?

It's all guess work, man.
None of us -- not analysts, ESPN talking heads, not Kiper, not you, not me -- know how teams actually rank these guys.
C'mon. -

He was 100 percent correct about Mahomes.
What's your point? Isn't this a Bills message board? -
Let me just say this: It is my opinion that the Bills have the greatest "all time" running back depth chart of any NFL team. No one can touch them.
OJ Simpson (HOF)
Thurman Thomas (HOF)
Marshawn Lynch
LeSean McCoy
Frank Gore (almost certain HOF)
Cookie Gilchrist
Given that Gore is all but certain to be a Hall of Famer (he's top 5 in all time rushing yards), what other NFL team can boast having had three HOF running backs on their roster at one time or another?
Closest I can think of would be Cowboys, Raiders, Bears and Browns, but I'll take the Bills' all time running back depth chart over any other team's.
Oh...and my vote for the OP goes to Jim Brown. The best there is, best there was, and best there ever will be (apologies to The Hitman).-

The key thing to mention is the fact that he'll soon be due for a new, expensive contract.
Paying big money for running backs is going the way of the dinosaurs. And yes, I'm aware that the Bills currently pay a lot to their running backs. I expect that to change next season. -

.....In 1989, Jimmy Johnson, having just drafted Troy Aikman, 1/1, used what ended up being his 1990 first round draft pick in the 1989 Supplemental draft on QB Steve Walsh from the U. Some of you may remember Walsh was a big time college QB at the time. Johnson, when asked why he had done this said that QB was too important to get wrong. He needed to make sure he had one. No one really remembers much about it because Aikman won that competition, went on to win 3 Super Bowls...and Walsh was traded to the Saints for draft picks. ....keep that in mind....
As much as many of you have cherry picked the stats to pieces and conjured up every possible scenario to hide the blight of Josh Allens horrendous 52% completion PCT....the fact is, as exciting and athlietic as he is...Josh Allen is still a major question mark to everyone outside western New York (yes Bills fans...where you see a an ascending future MVP QB, the rest of the country sees a gifted athlete who isn't a good thrower)
Rosen is cheap. He can be had for a 2nd round draft pick.
While the Bills certainly still have plenty of spots to fill and could use that 2nd to do that....what if you had Rosen on hand in case Josh Allen can't get that Comp % up above 55? What if you had the next blue chip prospect already on your roster and under contract if it turns out you've rebuilt the roster, have all this young talent ready to go, and your QB turns out to be a bust? You wouldn't need to rebuild again...you'd have Rosen ready to go.
You might argure making such a move would damage Allens confidence. Maybe it would...but Aikman handled Johnson drafting Walsh, manned up and won that battle. If Allen has the fortitude he's said to posses around here...he'd compete.
If Allen did turn out to be what you all are hoping for, Rosen would remain something of an unknown blue chip prospect that had value and could be traded for something useful next year.
If the object of having a pro football team is to WIN...then getting QB right is worth making this kind of move. That's why Jimmy did it. Just something to think about....these kind of situations don't come around often.
It is so weird to me that you continue to stick around and talk Bills football. Isn't there a good Chiefs forum somewhere?
And for your one created thread in the past several months, you chose to make a topic featuring the above bolded lines. I mean...sticking around just to troll us about our quarterback?
It seems like once the Bills traded down with the Chiefs, allowing KC to take Mahomes, you gained this vested interest in the Bills and seeing how the trade turned out for both teams. Now that the hay is in the barn and we see that Mahomes is an elite talent, you continue to want to stick around and...gloat? Chime in every now and again about how the QB WE ended up with stinks? Point out in new and different ways that the Chiefs won the trade? What do you want from us?!
I just really don't understand why you're here.-

If Haskins and Lock make it to 9- don't you think Beane's phone will be ringing off the hook with crazy, generous trade offers?
I definitely believe that if the right offer comes in, Beane would accept it.
That being said, I DON'T get the impression that they're desperate to trade down. There are lots of potential difference makers at positions of need that could be available at 9 but that they'll miss out on if they trade down too far. Oliver and the two offensive tackles, for instance.
Personally, I find it more likely that they pick a player at 9 and then use some of their "extra" picks this year to move BACK up into the late 1st or back up into the 2nd to take more premium players. The sheer amount of free agents they've added and the lack of ability to find spots on the roster for 10 more players leads me to believe the Bills will draft no more than 7 players come April. As such, I don't view a trade down from 9 to be as likely as some Bills fans seem to think. Just my opinion. -
This coaching staff has kept a 4th running back on the depth chart solely for special teams purposes each of the past two seasons. That's what Perry is. Shouldn't/won't stop the Bills from drafting a youngster or adding an UDFA come April.

That begs the question- what do Bills do if Oliver and those 5 are not available?
Based on top 30 visits and reported Bills interest, I would suggest that the 9th pick is down to the following options (not in any particular order, because I have no idea how the Bills rank them): Jawaan Taylor, Jonah Williams, Ed Oliver, Montez Sweat, Christian Wilkins. I expect one of those five names to be called if the Bills stay at 9. -
I love that Brandon Beane took a guy off the Bills' board because he was late to a few meetings. Love it.
If you can't even get your ***** together for the biggest job interview of your life, what are the odds that your head and heart will be in the game once the money has already flowed?

A 6th seems pretty damn cheap.
Am I wrong?
I agree with you, actually.
He's only 28 years old and he produced 6.5 sacks last year. Not a world beater or anything, but definitely a valuable piece for a defense.
I'm surprised they couldn't get at least a 5th for him.
Unless I'm in a salary cap pinch or there's behind the scenes stuff we're not aware of, I wouldn't trade a player of Quinn's caliber for a measly 6th round pick. What are the odds that the player you're going to get that late in the draft is even HALF as good as Quinn?
Weird move by the Phins.-

I mean....can we teach one of the Joshes to kick a ball? Having a Josh Allen in all three phases would really be ideal.
