  1. bad Josh is the Josh who holds onto the ball too long and such. He’ll wake up.
  2. Line is awful, I’ll give you that.
  3. It’s the Bad Josh so far
  4. O line is being dominated
  5. That pass has not worked the entire year.
  6. A new ST coach will be a priority
  7. Ok boys, let’s matriculate the ball down the field!
  8. Never place much stock in PFF. My own eyes tell me our line’s been pretty good, especially in the run game. Still some issues in pass protection but having Josh’s mobility helps there. I’d continue to emphasize O line in the draft. Build from inside out. And Bates will take Morse’s spot next year for cap considerations.
  9. He appears to be unable to do anything other than just push directly into the T in front of him. Apparently the injury does not give his knee the stability to do more. Until he can do more he shouldn’t be playing.
  10. See the end of my thread about reality. I was wrong, having a grouchy time for all sorts of reasons that have nothing to do with the Bills. Love Josh - wish he wouldn’t throw so many picks but love him as our QB all the same.
  11. I started a thread about fans not accepting reality earlier this week. On reflection I regret doing so in such a strident manner and thus offer my apologies to all. While I do think we were fortunate to win, my choice of words were poor (especially saying they were lucky) and beneath the standard I expect for myself. I have watched the Bills since opening day 1960 as a 4 year old with my dad and brother at the Rockpile for the first game. Hence my user name. I still take great joy in celebrating the 2 AFL championships and hope to celebrate us bringing home a Lombardi while I still have time on the planet. Those passions fuel all of us here, and sometimes get the best of us. It did so to me earlier this week. Go Bills!!
  12. Thanks for the input. I respect your posts. I was frustrated by their play and reacted poorly.
  13. Possible. Ravens certainly looked good enough last night to squish the Fish and the Chiefs look bad enough to keep losing.
  14. Hope so
  15. Have to come out a lot more focused than they did Saturday night.
  16. I’m not accusing Josh of being dumb. I think he’s an incredible QB and can improve even more. You are the one who seems to think we have to take him as he is and that he has no room for improvement. oh and the Jets game? The reason it was tied at the end of regulation? Josh’s picks. He even said he lost the game because of them. He’s a big boy, you don’t have to defend him as if he’s a saint.
  17. Maybe. Or maybe throw away a game like the season opener against the Jets. Favre won one. And I recall him losing playoff games by critical mistakes. I don’t want Josh to be that. I am astounded by the number of fans who have so little faith in Josh that they don’t think he can play smarter.
  18. I think Josh can improve by playing smarter football. He can do that and still take advantage of his physical skills. I can only presume you don’t think he’s smart enough to do so. I’ll be satisfied with a few championships. And if Josh becomes the GOAT fine by me. But I’d much rather have him be say Montana than Favre. Favre may have cost his teams more shots at a Lombardi than the one he won
  19. You want Favre. I want Montana or Brady. I think Allen can combine both. Too bad you and others apparently don’t think he can play smarter football. Guess you think he must be too dumb?
  20. The difference is exactly as you state: throwing back across the field into the center risks an interception because in general you are throwing back into more coverage, whereas throwing down the sideline does not to the same extent. I have trouble understanding why some don’t think Josh can become an even better QB by thinking a bit more and by taking safer throws. There is no real argument against wanting a QB to turn the ball over less when the data on effect of turnovers on outcome of games is pretty clear.
  21. Merry Christmas to all my fellow Mafia brethren!
  22. Look at page 18. Merry Christmas
  23. Ok, to all flaming me, I’ll take the hits. Lucky was the wrong word; as Shaw said fortunate would have been better. I just want the Bills to win it all like everyone here, and when they play like they did yesterday they won’t make it. I still remember sitting with my dad and brother just shy of my 5th birthday, at the first game at the Rockpile in 1960. I had the joy of watching them win the two AFL championships, the misery of the late 60’s and early 70’s, the joy then of OJ in his prime. I’ve had the misery of coaches like Hank Bullough and Rex Ryan, and the joy of Lou Saban and Marv and maybe Sean. The misery of GMs like Harvey Johnson and Tom Donahue and the joy of Polian and Beane. The Super Bowl years, and the playoff run now with Josh leading the way. I’ve seen it all and lived it all. And the constant through all this is the fan base. All of us love our Bills even when they drive us batty. Last night’s game drove me batty so I reacted by my post. And other Mafia took me to task. And that is as it should be. Merry Christmas to my fellow fans. Here’s to victory in ‘24!
  24. Good points Shaw. Only thing I’d say is throwing back into the middle of the field is fraught with peril much of the time. But he was Good Josh that last drive for sure.
  25. Luck goes both ways, absolutely.
