true..but minus the injury possibility, passing the ball was still where we were most effictient. both in yards and tds -
THE ROCKPILE REVIEW - Good Gets Bad, Bad Gets Good

nice work..notice one of those games was buffalo? I just look at it like if your qb is throwing for 75% and your running back is lucky to get past the line of scrimmage then throw, and throw a lot until it stops working. -

I'm more enamored by Taylor. Pass rush consistently in his face all game. No run game, receivers not getting much seperation. Bad game plan. -
THE ROCKPILE REVIEW - Good Gets Bad, Bad Gets Good

Good read as usual, thanks. Surprised you said your pretty much sold on Taylor, seems that you have previously been pretty down on him and believed it was one of the upgrades needed. Although Taylor can be frustrating at times I do like him. I wish when Taylor is able to actually throw the ball, they would do it more. I really wish that as our wr core improves that we can be more pass focused, I don't want to give up on the run game ( though last night it would have been prudent) but it would be nice to have more faith in the passing game and see more aggressive play calling. -
We really should have. We could have passed against Carolina as well

Official fire Rick Dennison thread
Comebackkid replied to Buffalo Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
On top of a lackluster performance by just about the entire team, the coaching sucked big time. Both this game and the Panthers game was bogged down by trying to hard to run the ball. When we where finally forced to throw the ball and be aggressive we started moving down the field. It was obvious early the running game was going no where. Yet they gave up down after down trying to run against the Jets strength. Bad game plan, bad execution all around. Zero adjustment on O or D. During the game. -

D is a bit of a sieve, missing gaines and poyer. Horrible push on the D line against the run -

Take advantage of their poor O-line and constantly make Dalton very uncomfortable. Dixon hasn't been doing squat yet -
http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000856686/article/qb-index-week-5-tom-brady-unfair-alex-smith-on-fire Per NFL.com #8 Tyrod Taylor QB Bills I've read enough about what Taylor can't do. What he can do is scare the daylights out of the league's best defenders like Von Miller, who guarded Taylor on one Week 3 play as if the QB was LeBron James about to take Miller to the hole. Taylor responded by flipping a pass across his body 31 yards down the field to tight end Nick O'Leary. These moments are incredibly common for a quarterback ranked 31st in pass attempts. 2017 stats: 4 games | 65.7 pct | 744 pass yds | 7.5 ypa | 5 pass TD | 1 INT | 118 rush yds | 0 rush TD

RD 2, Pick 63: Dion Dawkins (OT) - TEM
Comebackkid replied to SDS's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
BOTTOM LINE Quality tackle who operates with good balance and solid technique. Shows some good initial quickness and a smooth kick-slide out of his stance, but might be better in short areas as a guard rather than in open space as a tackle. He's athletic enough to operate in space, but power appears to be his calling card. His wide-hand approach in pass protection could be a difficult habit to break, but he has the natural power to withstand bull rush that might come with that. Dawkins is a well-schooled, three-year starter who has chance to transition into an early starter. i imagine this is why some are saying hes a guard, not a tackle.. -
2017 NFL Draft: Round 1 discussion
Comebackkid replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Leodis had good talent...he just made really bad decisions at the worst time. everyone so far is saying this kid can be a dependable 10 year starter. that to a new coaching staff is probably more important than a flash in the pan. -
McDermott Coaching Style - Good or Bad
Comebackkid replied to PolishDave's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Doesn't every coach have an idea what kind of system they want to run?...what they want there identity on offense, and defense to be? seems like it would be better to draft players that fit what the identity of the rest of the team rather than draft a guy and them have to change the rest of your D or 0 just to fit that player. Plus i feel that that system is as much about his philosophy of how he likes to approach things and his beliefs of how things should be ran. whats a good system?..one that wins.. a bad system?..one that loses. -
Here's a draft curveball for you to flame

Well, if we are already strong at rb and our wr situation is quite lacking I'd rather try and balance the offense. -

im not comparing him to Spiller, but then i wouldnt be much happier with the pick now than i was then....At this point in the Nfl there are not many situations I want to see an RB come off the board in rd 1..especially at 10 -
I could see them taking davis if they felt there was enough db depth to this draft. I think that Davis is exactly what the bills have wanted all along when they drafted watkins. He can stretch the field...he can go up and get the ball...(high point)...he can out muscle dbs for the ball in the air and off the line. If you look at when watkins had his last half of a productive season with taylor, what he was able to do and then imagine Davis on the other side...or the games when Watkins was shut down, put Davis on the other side..one of them is getting open. I like Howard but I'm higher on Davis..i think he is more nimble in traffic...he plays to Taylor's strength being able to stretch the edges, not to mention what him and watkins could do for the running game. Also you figure to this point our passing game has mostly been an aftter thought with most of the focus going to the running game. this would give us a change to at least equalize our running/passing game. Just all comes down to whos avail at 10, if we can trade down and what mcD and whaley feel is priorty this year..O or D.

And have zero supporting cast? We are short on draft picks as it is and holes all over.

I like that he is a pro that gives 100% and isn't afraid to speak up to those that arent. Don't want break the bank for him but he definitely has value
