I am very happy to see him having success. The way he takes care of his disabled sister makes it so easy to root for him. I will say though, he does seem to be more dedicated to football ever since leaving Buffalo.

No surprise there. He’s their #3 overall pick and they’ve been quickly pushing him up the depth chart since he showed up for camp. I don’t think it was ever an “open QB competition” as Todd Bowles claimed it was, anyway. It was always Darnold’s job to lose, and he’s done nothing to lose it. Bridgewater played very well in week 2, though. I thought he almost played better than Darnold did. But the Jets clearly feel Darnold is ready and doesn’t need any time on the sidelines. I hope Bridgewater can catch on somewhere else. I’ve always liked him. Seems like a great kid.

For me it’s less about peterman and more about making sure Allen is put in the best possible position to succeed long term. I am cautious by nature with rookies and especially so with Allen, who I hope is the franchise QB we have been waiting for since Jim Kelly. I dont want to do anything that could possibly hurt his development. If the coaching staff feel he’s ready to play with the 1’s in preseason game 3 and Allen has another showing like last night, then yeah, start him. But if there’s any doubt that he’s ready, I’d rather throw peterman in. Definitely excited about what I’ve seen from Allen, though.

Some excellent quotes in that article. The guys already seem seem to believe in Josh Allen and gravitate toward him. I can totally see why, too. He really does seem to have a lot of energy and an infectious personality.

I could care less if we lose at this point. The Browns are playing their #1 overall pick and some of their 2nd string guys against our 3rd stringers.

Man, mayfield had all day. Charles has to make that catch, but hey, I ain’t complaining! And damn, 0 for 6 on 3rd downs for Cleveland. Buffalo has been playing much better since the first quarter. I think the Browns maybe caught them off guard with how hard they came out swinging. Their run game was awful last week though. It’s like they wanted to come out and prove a point.
