Yeah my throat is definitely sore today. Fans were nuts. Even in the parking lot people were still cheering. Amazing 1st period. Buffalo came out on fire. Not the best 2nd or 3rd. I thought they sat back too much. But they pulled out the win. I’ll take it, though I really want to see them play a full 60. But they are still a young team learning how to win. Hopefully it comes with time.

Hoping for a big, rowdy crowd at the game on Wednesday. The players deserve our support and appreciation for this current tear they’re on. It’s so nice to finally be seeing the light and the end of the tunnel now. It was a rough 5 years.

Yeah he actually said that during last season, too. He said they had to spend a lot of time teaching guys the new systems, and it didn’t leave as much time as he wanted to get their conditioning right. Plus, he came from a veteran team. One with a bunch of guys who knew what type of contitiniong it took to win consistently in the NHL and make the playoffs. I think he was a bit surprised by the Sabres lack of conditioning. Housley said that a lot tougher training camp was coming and he didn’t lie. I think almost every single Sabres player said that this was the toughest training camp they’ve ever been through. We are finally starting to see this team mature and learn what it takes to win in the NHL on a nightly basis.

I didn’t realize that he was (possibly) only there on an interim basis. You are not going to get a much better, or more experienced, coach who is willing to take over for the short term (especially with the uncertainty at GM like the article mentioned).

Whoa! Not it surprised that McLellan was fired. Very surprised that Hitch was named head coach. I could either see him doing very very well there, or not good at all. I am just not sure how his “defense first and foremost” system will fit that team (I worry that it will be similar to how he fit in Dallas). Hitch is a great coach though. One of the smartest hockey minds there is. It will be interesting to see how he does there.

I know a lot of people complain about housley, and I don’t know if he’s the right coach to win us a Stanley Cup. But he is the right coach coach for this team right now. He is the first coach that has actually been able to get the entire team to buy-in to a system and play as a 5 man unit (instead of kind of making it up as they go). He is letting them play a fast, exciting brand of hockey. He’s letting the young guys make mistakes without stapling them to the bench afterwards (something a lot of coaches don’t do). Really, He’s the first coach to make some real progress with the way the Sabres play. They actually look/play like a legit NHL team again. I dont know if he will be the coach that gets buffalo to true contender status. But he is making real, true progress with this roster right now, and that’s what Buffalo desperately needed. And, IMO, you are seeing some players developing their games, too which bodes well for the future. It may take hiring another coach a few years down the line to put them over the top. But for now, I think Housley is earning his keep. I can’t wait to see how this team develops over the course of this season.

Refs call that but they don’t call the super obvious tripping against Bogo (the red was standing right there!) that directly led to a 2 on 1? Pens getting away with all sorts of crap tonight. These refs are terrible.

Happy to see Thompson get a goal. He needed that, I’m sure.

Search google for “Reddit NFL streams”. Then click in the Bills game day thread. You may have to deal with closing a few pop-ups ads before you can start watching the game, but it’s totally free. You can can actually find any Sports game for free on Reddit. Just search for the corresponding sport. Google “Reddit (________) streams”.

They sell the Fallout series for PC. Personally, I would recommend starting with Fallout 4 (or even fallout 3 if you don’t mind older games). Fallout 4 was a masterpiece. Fallout ‘76 is totally online. It doesn’t have all the NPC’s and detailed stories that the fallout series is known for. I’m not big on playing online games though. Fallout 4 will give you a much better idea of what the fallout series is all about.

Payton loves running up the score. Going for it on 4th downs when up by 30+. He did that to the Bills too.

It’s hard to say for sure. Both E. Wood and Incognito were huge losses. We haven’t had the running game that we used to without those two (and especially Incognito). I don’t see Tyrod improving the run game all that much on his own. I mean, it’s not like Josh Allen isn’t pretty darn mobile. Plus the WR corps is thin. None are getting a ton of separation and Tyrod didn’t often throw into tight windows when guys weren’t open (part of the reason he hardly ever turned the ball over). And he wasn’t a huge “50-50, go up and get it” ball thrower, which used to be Benjamin’s strength. So I still think we struggle on offense, even with Tyrod. But how much better the O would be as a whole? It’s hard to say. The way I feel - the offense was probably going to struggle no matter who they had at QB. Tyrod, Anderson, McCarron, Peterman, Allen... so you may as well get Allen the experience and hope it pays off next year. While Tyrod might be better than the QB play we’ve had this year, I don’t know how much better. Maybe we’d eek out some wins on defense (and pick later because of it). But we all knew Tyrod wasn’t the future. So maybe they decided to make a clearer path for the guy they want to be the future QB, and avoid a potential controversy in the locker room (by benching TT). Plus, that #65 pick is tough to turn down.

Dahlin was great tonight. Probably his best game yet. Risto with a good game, too. I love this team!

I refuse to buy Fallout ‘76. I am boycotting it... lol. Seriously though, How do do you take one of the best single player games ever and just take away the whole single player story mode aspect? (I know you can play solo, but you’re still online) I hope this game does terrible so they never try this again. I hate that everything seems to be moving toward this multi-player online stuff. I dont want to play online and have a bunch of 12yr old kids trying to troll me all day. I like to play by myself, in peace.
