Defenses led Brady to his last two rings
Figster replied to NewEra's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This post is for anyone who doesn't understand why Tom Brady is Superbowl MVP. -
Keep it simple, work the underneath, screens, dump the ball off to the RB. Soften up the Chiefs D. Everything Buffalo should have done. Perhaps could have done with a better run game. Tampa had Buffalo to look at and say this is everything we are not going to do against the Chiefs. Brady's no dummy.

https://www.yahoo.com/sports/another-2021-mock-draft-dynamic-190329334.html Another Mock has Buffalo in the Najee Harris sweepstakes.
-
I would say your OP nails it and why Najee seems like he's exactly what the doctor ordered as the process player that could put Buffalo over the top IMO.
-
I think Harris may have Thurman Thomas all purpose potential that would really go well in tye Daboll/ Allen Offense IMO.
-
I tried various trades with the draft/ trade simulator and its impossible for Buffalo to land Najee. Harris goes in the middle of the 1st. Alabama knows a thing or two about RB's. Harris fits the Bill IMO. Unfortunately I get the feeling to many teams want to get their hands on Najee Harris enough to reach a little more then Beane will go in my humble opinion.

Is McDermott aggressive? NFL.com thinks so.
Figster replied to Michael1962's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I've been doing allot of thinking on this. Bass needs to keep practicing the on side kick so Buffalo can show Andy Reid what aggressive really means. You give the ball to Mahomes, he scores. So don't willingly give the ball to Mahomes. Ever. Sounds crazy right? Desperate? Ok, a little. It all depends on how fast the strong legged Bass can get with end to end rotation on the football. Try different techniques. Line drives at the oppositions worst hands on the field. There's agressive then theres McD the mad scientist agressive starring Dr Poyer and go get the football Mr Hyde.. Steal a possession or two vs letting the Mahomie score anyway. I'm just saying. Ok, who's with me on the Bass kicking the Chiefs ass game plan? We can do this... ...I swear... -

Deshaun Watson officially requests trade from Houston
Figster replied to Process's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think Houston in all likelihood has a trade partner in Miami that satisfies all concerned and setting a value on the trade is what remains before real negotiations can take place. Pure speculation on my part. -

You have a team showing buyers remorse and a star player that needs a new home. Myself personally, If I'm Tua I ask to be involved in the trade that sends me to Houston. In exchange for the 2 Defensive starters the Texans are seeking. Good QB + two 1st + 2nds along with the picks the Texans already have can make things better in a hurry If done right. Team Tua up with Najee Harris. See If Tua can get back to where he was before the injury. (From a win loss stand point Tua's first 4 starts had him in very select company If I remember correctly.) -
take me to the river ...

Watching Mahomes smug face go from glee to shock and horror would have been priceless Kicker just kicked his ass...

No guts, no glory. I would have liked to seen what a two legged Fergy could have done that year. -

The Bills allowed 60 QB sacks for an NFL record at the time 554 yards in 1984 suggesting the troubles had more to do with Oline then RB IMO. -

Thanks for this thread because after seeing two kicks in a row that almost ended in the same results Bass might want to continue practicing this kick until his odds are significantly increased in comparison to league average. Do this kick out of the blue a few times. See what happens, is what I'm saying. So the opposition ends up with better field position facing a bend, but not break McD D. Allen will make up for it. Unpredictable is the name of the game. Chiefs just schooled Buffalo on it. I think it can become another weapon in the McD/Daboll arsenal IMO.

back to back posts that help explain why Buffalo's run game was below average in the grand scheme of things IMO. TBD was lucky enough once upon a time to have a Bills historian I like to call her that was very adapt at steering fellow patrons in the right direction. From an X's and O's standpoint Hapless takes it to a whole new level IMO. We had this same discussion in another thread. My beliefs are Daboll didn't care enough about running the football because many of the teams Buffalo faced on the schedule were more vulnerable to the Daboll/ Allen high powered passing attack. Along with in some cases better equipped to stop the run. Josh Allen goes for big chunks of yardage at a time and when your completion percentage is high its practically unstoppable IMO. Myself personally, as its been well pointed out. Buffalo's inability to run the football has more to do with putting more time and emphasis on one of the best passing attacks in the league more then anything IMO. To me bringing a home run hitter into the lineup at the RB positiion helps change the perception, confidence and overall strategy when game planning opponents in my humble oppinion.
