  1. 3 and out stat /ranking sounds worse then what it is IMO Its worse then getting one 1st down and out after the second set of downs, but clearly not a back breaking stat thats hard to overcome with good special teams in my humble opinion. The Pats/Brady won a championship with higher 3 and out numbers so to me it helps prove the insignificants. with all due respect
  2. Does average D or below get you playoff results? (18th would be considered below league average) I agree, the O does have much room for improvement. ( Patriots had more 3 and outs then Buffalo )
  3. I don't think I am, 16th ranking, 18th ranking, is that supposed to help your argument?
  4. I understand, Less participation from TBD's more football knowledgeable patrons is not the answer though IMO.
  5. vs contributing and making the conversation sound a little more intelligent? People from different walks of life frequent the boards and some more educated then others. Everyone likes to chime in and talk football regardless and in my humble opinion they all have something to contribute.
  6. When you look at where the O could be with even a slight improvement in the passing game it becomes easier to understand why McD wants to see where Dennison/Taylor will take him with better Defense.
  7. Right, and the O made the most of it ranking 10th in the league in PPG. The problem is giving the opposition the ball deep in its own territory and watching them march the entire length of the football field. Can you see how that works against us? with all due respect
  8. The whole idea of how a run heavy O will succeed is not with a middle of the pack Defense. Middle of the pack is not a good Defense. when the opposition continues to flip the field on you despite a good run game its a recipe for failure.(IMO) Its very likely that with a better D the Bills O would have ranked even higher in PPG in my humble opinion. Starting field position is key...
  9. I agree, We may win many of our matchups with the Pats, but playing the best team in the league twice a season appeals to me. Tom Brady is history in the makings ...
  10. thanks OP Dennison seems well versed in adapting to the strengths and weaknesses of the QB /football team. nice work
  11. Yes he is, icebowl has also been here on TBD for years, I'll ask you the same thing icebowl, How well would you/Packers do in the AFC East?
  12. Nice reply The coaching upgrade (IMO) puts every player on the Bills roster in a better position to succeed. thanks OP
  13. I'm not sure where all the confusion came from. Amen I want to bump this post
  14. Taylor didn't design the G Roman O and complaining about the QB/ O becomes secondary to one of the worst D "s in the league don't you think? I didn't see a One dimensional O and Taylor wouldn't rank so high in the QB ratings if it was IMO. Pats did worse, how did that work out ?
  15. The Bills D didn't play well enough to win many football games IMO. The Bills averaged over 5 yards a run and was constantly improving their field position, but it doesn't mean squat when the D is unable to stop the opposition. You get that right?
  16. You mentioned succesful QB's close to the same height as T T earlier, then a couple of post later you suggested the right coaching and system may have played a part in the success. Good coaching/systems always plays a big part in the success of an NFL QB, as does supporting cast in my humble opinion. Taylor has operated a run 1st Bills O with the lowest amount of passing reps in the league. Tyrod Taylor did what the G Roman O was designed to do, which is run the football. Best in the league...
  17. Some posters point out most of the positives and have a positive outlook, some posters point out the negatives with a negative outlook and some stay somewhat neutral. It balances out in my humble opinion Shady.
  18. Its a football forum and having discussions about our starting QB goes with the territory. Are stats a fabrication?
  19. Myself personally, despite the numbers which don't register missed opportunities, Taylor doesn't see the field very well as a traditional pocket passer in my humble opinion transplant. At '6 1" Taylor is looking into a moving wall of big bodies when he stands in the pocket IMO.
  20. Sounds about right, check your PM's when you get a chance ice,
