  1. Of course. That's why I listened to him fully You will never get anywhere by just judging and putting others down, you need to build people up
  2. Buffalo's my home if I want to s*** on it I can! ?
  3. Yes that is basically the conversation we had. And as someone who spent years getting a degree, it was pretty maddening And it's hard to have a civil conversation when you can't listen to all sides. Which I always try to do
  4. I don't disagree that there is racism in this country. I have seen it But Ive also seen a lot of good
  5. I don't think it's hereditary I think it's a learned behavior from all ethnicities That story was specifically about one conversation I had with an individual, who believed that over half of white Americans owned slaves back in the day.. and that was his rationale for white people being racist. If over 50% were racist back then , must be the same today Because where did they all go? That was basically his point And I had to explain that there were way more white people that fought and died to free the slaves, then there were people who were owning slaves if you grow up thinking that all or the majority of white people were descendants of slave owners, whether you're white Asian black brown... it's certainly would put them in a very negative light in your mind I know white people who hate their ancestors for owning slaves and actually hate themselves for being white.. and I say you can hate your ancestors, but don't hate yourself because you're different and you can do good
  6. I'm not taking it personally Their clubhouse is a dump compared to Major league teams LOL I was joking with the four bases and the outfield wall thing lol Major Leaguers are certainly used to certain accommodations, which sahlen's field probably doesn't have
  7. If the world is as effed up as you're making it sound Wouldn't it be better to live in perpetual bliss so I can continue to be the kind of guy I am. Instead of possibly becoming angry at the world I can and do make a difference in my community because I'm positive
  8. I totally agree that when people don't stand up for injustice it makes things worse White people need to stand up for black brown and Asian people, but black brown Asian people also need to show solidarity A House divided cannot stand I have a history degree with a specialization in early American history. So I have lots of conversations about America with people... I had a conversation with a man before, who actually believed that over 50% of white Americans owned slaves That can be a dangerous thinking, because if you believe that, then it's easy to believe that most whites are racist and hate most other ethnicities Needless to say he was surprised, to find out that only about 10% of white people in America own slaves. and that a hundred thousand Southerners fought for the union to free the slaves.. and that hundreds of thousands of Union troops died to free the slaves We have a lot of problems in our country, but there was even a lot of good men 150 years ago that died for those black people's freedoms and im glad they did
  9. There has been an active slave trade in the middle East and Africa for 3000 years Still ongoing today America has parts of a dark history, but it is still by far the greatest country on the face of this Earth, with the most freedom Even if you go back to our slavery days, only 10% of the pretty rich in America owned slaves. It was not a majority of people 100000 Southerners fought with the Union to free the slaves. Hundreds of thousands of Union troops died to free the slaves There were a lot of good people who knew it is wrong
  10. I think sahlens field is the largest AAA ballpark in the country Definitely probably a turd compared to MLB parks, but it has grass , four bases an outfield with a wall!
  11. I've met more racist Asians and Indians than white people in my life and I'm being honest I think it's how you're raised, and the environment which you're raised in Racism needs to end, but to say that it's a white only thing is Ludicrous because it happens all over the world My grandfather fled Nazi Germany, I understand hatred
  12. I don't think I'm ignorant to some of the bad people in this country. I just know there are a lot more good than bad And yes I have no reason to lie about my character on this forum. Everything I said about loving and treating everybody the same is how I've lived my whole life
  13. And you know who else does? actual loving people Actions speak louder than words, and I've had tons of actions through my life that show how I'm about people coming together Everybody who knows me would validate. Saying shut up and listen never gets your point across because irrrational people just double down
  14. People saying I don't see color is a convenient way of making yourself sound good definitely I think people of every ethnicity can see right through the phony ones who are just saying it to look good Actions speak louder than words. And I doubt any black person's laughing at me, because I've had tons of actions that show I love my black Brothers and Asian brothers etc
  15. Well maybe cape cod is just a racist area. That could be true And I have never made any ethnicity feel unwelcome. Not even subconsciously.. my nickname was smiles growing up. I literally greet everybody with a big smile and a how is your day going and I've never had a problem with anybody I treat people how I want to be treated since I was a child I was raised a god-fearing man
  16. I was truly raised to never see color. I've had friends of every single ethnicity and I've only judged on the content of character I've seen my father give out food to poor and homeless, and give money to the poor and homeless Maybe it is a disservice, because I truly believe everybody is good like that, even though I know there are scumbags I don't think I said that eball Read the post right under that, I said maybe it's time for the non vocal majority to become more vocal
  17. This is such a touchy subject that civil conversation is the only way to move forward Ad hominem attacks, name-calling and such only throws us further back and it seems like only the people who scream the loudest get heard Unfortunately most of the good people in this country are not vocal, maybe it's time for that to change
  18. I'm not trying to mislead or distract anybody. There are more good people white black Asian Indian then there are bad. The vocal minority should not get more press than the majority The majority needs to stand together
  19. I'm not sure, Actually the racists I have encountered are very open about it they don't hide it And that's just my honest experience Obviously minority
  20. No it's not right and did I ever say that it was okay? Of course it isnt... And since you actually asked I was with a white friend, when he got pulled over for driving in the wrong neighborhood being white.. detained for 45 minutes and had his car searched for drugs with no basis other than he was from the suburbs and in the hood I wouldnt even tell that story but since you asked
  21. Maybe using three tiny's was hyperbole... But everybody uses hyperbole to get their point across My point is it is a very distinct minority that are vocally racist, across all ethnicities And they always scream the loudest I have always respected you and your opinion Shaw and that doesn't change
  22. Well I'll tell you something, what makes you think I don't understand? How do you know I'm not a minority? You're basically attacking me and have no idea what I've been through. I'll leave it at that
  23. Sure that's a problem But it is totally a minority of people that do that. Race relations are going crazy in this country, because people think everybody is racist When it is literally a tiny tiny tiny minority If you don't agree with somebody you get call a racist now For having a different opinion
  24. I mean he certainly did have a hard time walking that line for the sobriety test He did look under the influence of something But if you're just that tired where you can't walk straight you probably shouldn't drive
