Hughes doesn't get why Jim Kelly is on the field in 2017
BuffAlone replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Jerry's play is/always has been, as undisciplined and misguided as his mouth. He could learn a thing or two from the old timers about what it means to be a Buffalonian. Personally, I think its a distraction to the game and has no place on the field. Leave your political beliefs at home, and dont stir the pot at work. They have 7 months vacation a year to do and say whatever they want.Preaching unity by imposing their beliefs is an oxymoron. Great message to today's youngsters.... -

I would actually support Clinton to an extent, although i'd disagree with most of her policies. Im definately no sheep either. Im grown. I can read. I can understand policy.Im capable of taking all pertinent information available and making an unbiased decision without just clinging to a specific party for the sake of doing so. Thanks for proving my point that people can just assume something blindly. That said, I am Pro Citizen. Not linked to ANY party. Merely linked to individual person/policy. Regardless of party affiliation -

Most crooks, cheats, and sociopaths wind up in jail...not the White House. What a load of politically biased bull **** spewing from your mouth. Support your country and its citizens, by supporting the man ELECTED by the people...and leave your uninformed prejudices at the door. Libtard whiney baby bull **** has no place in a sports forum -
Bills sign Blanton and Coleman
BuffAlone replied to PromoTheRobot's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I don't get it with Blanton. Is he better than Elston at this point? -
Jelani Jenkins already released (also Trae Elston)

Preston and KC's first for Kuechley would put a smile on my face😄 -
Sorry to paraphrase. But, you Have said that he is not worth that high of a pick. Is that correct?
-
Umm...if nobody has the breakdown, how exactly was he credited with them? Do they just magically credit different players with random stats? This line of thought deserves to be on "C'mon Man"!
-
Never once did i say he is "jyst a clean up sack guy". I have said that due to his setting of the edge, he winds up with clean up sacks. Meaning, of course, blitzers have moved the pocket, forced a qb to scramble, and bang, there's good ole Shaq! Im all for him improving his pass rush, but for what he is now, and while at school, the kid was worth his draft pick! He is solid, if not spectacular. And those guys all around the league get those sacks and/or TFL...which he also had yesterday. He's not a bum, but I agree he's no Bruce. Hughes had ten, but did he set the edge like Shaq? So, who's the better DE? A 10 sack guy who dont stop the run like Shaq, or a 6-8 sack guy who is a beast against the run? Either of those work for me, and definately related to their draft slot👍
-
You've made it well known...repeatedly, that he's a bum that was drafted for his pass rushing prowess and hasn't done jack in his career to this point( 3 starts, lol) and its been pointed out...repeatedly, that he was drafted as a run stuffing DE who hussles and gets clean up sacks. That sounds EXACTLY what his coaches think of him. Solid run defender/edge setter, 6-8 sacks a year, until he picks up the finer nuances of the game and can increase his sack totals=worthy of the #19 overall draft pick.

I get what you're saying. But in all honesty, there was no process behind retaining him. He was there. They kept/extended him. It failed. They gutted the whole thing and made all new hires. Let's see how it goes beyond one game vs jests before labeling them as bad owners, shall we?
-
Retained. Thats not a hire. They didn't interview him for an open position
-
I was saying one game for their first GM hire.....

Hall Of Fame - Most deserving/Most likely
BuffAlone replied to BuffAlone's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
And Tasker went to 7. I wonder how many 7 timers are not in either -
Lol....talk about silly! You're just being obstinately negative. Yeah, Indy #suckedforLuck. They got a franchise QB...and NOTHING else! If we're delving deeper, look at it like this...Pegs have hired one GM thus far. Shouldn't we give that more than one game before we assume they are horrible owners who can't make a good hire? There's not enough sample size to label them poor owners at this point...silly silly boy. I guess every other owner in the league talks crap about players before dumping them right? That sure seems the norm(sarcasm). What good would it do to not talk up your guys? Crazy take by you on that notion
-
Lmao! I'm glad to have them as compared to Irsay or Khan....

Hall Of Fame - Most deserving/Most likely
BuffAlone replied to BuffAlone's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think T.O. gets in first, but Tasker deserves it. Owens didn't change his position like Tasker did, although he excelled at it. And I honestly feel like Biscuit is at least worthy of Wall of Fame induction due to numbers alone, without the determination of drive or motivation -
Hall Of Fame - Most deserving/Most likely
BuffAlone replied to BuffAlone's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Well, he also chimed in with 27 fumble recoveries and 3 TD's. So I don't know about soft. Personally I'd say Tasker is most deserving and T.O. is most likely. How bout you? -
Greetings fellow fans. Didn't see anything posted regarding this fact so I thought I'd look for some feedback...for the record, this information comes from an article I read, and am paraphrasing from. Buffalo has 7 former players and coach up for HOF voting to be enshrined in '18. Of them.... Steve Tasker. WR/ST 1985-1997 Claimed off waivers in '86, become a 7 times Pro Bowler and only ST to be named Games MVP in '93. Been in top 25 voting for HOF 6 times. Bills Wall of Fame inductee '07 Terrell Owens. WR 1996-2010 Only one year played for Buffalo(2009) after an often time tumultuous career. Retired in 2010, ranking 2nd in receiving yards(15,934),2nd in TD's(153), 2nd in receptions(1,078), and 1st in popcorn sales. Holds Bills' franchise record for longest TD pass caught from none other than Fitzy... No Wall of Fame Darryl Talley. Lb 1983-1996 Spiderman finished his career with 1190 tackles(1095 for Bills).Played in 204 straight games from 1983-1994. Bills Wall of Fame inductee '03 Cornelius Bennett. Lb 1987-2000 What can I say? We completely hosed Indy on *that* deal Biscuit appeared in 5 Pro Bowls, 5 Super Bowls, including being a 3 time All Pro and 2 time AFC DPOY.Finished with 1048 tackles( 751 for Bills),71.5 sacks(52.5 for Bills),7 Int's(6 for Bills). No Wall of Fame Ruben Brown. G 1995-2007 Dominate.Consistent.Durable. Missed only 8 games in 9 years. Pro Bowler 9 times and was First team All Conference in both '98 & '99 No Wall of Fame Kent Hull. C 1986-1996 The anchor up front.Nicknamed by teammates as simply "Tough". Appeared in 121 straight games at one point, his overall career games played stands at 170(regular season).Sadly passes away at age 50 in 2011. Bills Wall of Fame inductee '02 Chuck Knox. Coach 1973-1994 Knox coached in Buffalo from 1978-1982 and finished with a 37-36 record after having made the playoffs in both 1980 & 1981. Knox finished with a career mark of 186-147-1. Named NFL coach of the year an admirable 4 times and is 10th all time in regular season victories. So my question is, of this list who is Most Deserving, and who is Most Likely to be enshrined into the Hall of Fame first? *apologies for the bad paragraphing, thats not how I typed it lol*

My take is that he was an elite edge setter who got his share of sacks in college. At the very least, he should duplicate that in the pros. The injury and scheme change hindered him slightly in year one, but he was drafted at 19 overall. I think for his skill set, his floor is what he was in Clemson. And by all accounts the new staff likes what he is and what he does. Can he improve his pass rush? No doubt. Will he? Depends on what he's asked to do. I certainly think as it stands right now, he's worth #19 pick...with potential to grow as a pass rusher. Just my take. He's not lightning quick or twitchy, but has great hand usage and bullrush moves. He'll only get better as he grows and wisens up to the pro game. Again, just my take

You mean what YOU want and expect. No growth? You think his coaches feel the same? Gimme a break...
