I do agree with this. Diggs has slipped to a decent #2. If he could be cloned 3 more times, Bills fans would take that! Failing that, Allen needs a #1. The rest rise up occasionally to #2s, normally #3-4. NOT GOOD ENOUGH BY HALF!

2-3 years back, you could make the claim that Diggs was arguably in the Top 5 Receivers in the NFL. Not the best, but in the conversation. No longer. The following are better- much better than Diggs now: Hill, Lamb, St. Brown, Nacua, Jefferson, A Brown, Moore, Collins, Evans, Cooper, Allen, Chase, Adams, Metcalf, DHop, Kittle. He’s in with the Ridley, Godwin, Smith & Pickens- fine WRs, but not in the class of the above! And definitely not in the separation on routes AND contested ball skills- like every other Bills Receiver. Plus, we are now unsure about when he will clang one. The Bills need a #1 who always catches the ball, gets constant separation for Josh and can climb and get contested throws. This applies to #s 2,3 & 4 as well, but let’s start with Diggs or someone better!

THAT was the game! After doing it so well, because of the hideous D, there was a totaldisconnect at the 2 minute Warning! Yet again, McClapper allowed the signals to get crossed at the most crucial ***** time of the game! At the 2:35 mark, Allen had to run the ball- not Cook. On second down, McD and Allen had to get together at the 2MW to say… never, ever go for the kill shot. You are running or checking down for a few more to get that final first down! So that, you score the winning TD with less than 30 ticks to go or at worst- unreliable Bass kicks from the 12 yard line to tie and go into OT.

This. ^^^^ McClapper is a decent HC, who will get the max out of his players during the Regular Season. But,when the going gets tough and the stiff teams have been eliminated, McD is revealed as ordinary and incapable of imparting critical close out strategies! I could never forgive him for the impossibly inept job of 13 seconds. And then on Sunday, the millions watching that last drive were all on the same page. The only goal is to drive that ball for one more First Down! Multiple things are accomplished. 1) You try and bleed every possible remaining second away from Mahomes. 2) Either 17 runs or short passes to Diggs, Shakir or Kincaid are made with < 30 seconds to go! 3) You never,ever, ever try and score with 1:45 and 2 KC TOs! Your defensive coaching has been a disaster. Your D was a total SIEVE all game, giving up 8.5 yards per touch! 8.5!! McClapper tried to post game deflect his catastrophic coaching failure by saying they stopped KC 4/5 Times on third down. FFS. That’s because they only had FIVE THIRD DOWNS! Knowing that you must,must, must tell Allen,do not go for the TD on Second Down at the 2 minute Warning! Ever. Again he failed… badly. Why Cook and not Allen ran on first down is another mystery and McD failure to grasp what we could all see unfolding before us. 4) And on 3rd Down, you must get closer for your badly challenged FG Kicker. Again, failure. GTG! He just cannot keep up in the big moments!

For me, I really think it’s time to step away from here. Not just for the remainder of the season- perhaps forever. This team, under this HC, with these players will never win a SB! And their window is closing fast. I do not see the necessary improvements forthcoming. And multiple teams will catch them.The excellent ones have very good Ds and WRs who don’t drop balls in the clutch, nor Kickers who should be flogging Beer in the stands.
