And they have a better chance at a first down by throwing the ball. The play call wasn't the problem. The problem was Burrow taking a sack when he had all the time in the world to scramble or throw it away.

FFS dude here's the rule: "The game clock operator shall stop the game clock (timeout) upon a signal by any official or upon the operator’s own positive knowledge: (c) when the ball is out of bounds;" Don't get all uppity when you don't know what you're talking about. Was just going to say this. He's had a couple good games this year but mostly he just looks like an average QB. Definitely not a guy that wins games on his own.

It stops until the ball is placed and the refs signal for the clock to run again. It never stopped.

Yeah I know what the two minute warning is. He ran out of bounds at about 2:15 and the clock kept running until the two minute warning.

I'm definitely not counting that game as an automatic L. If you are, that means you've given up on the #1 seed. I haven't.

If we don't beat them it doesn't matter who wins the game today. Chiefs still get #1 seed most likely. We probably need to win out and get a Chiefs loss.

The Bengals and Chiefs are both making the playoffs so we might have to play either of them regardless. I'd rather get a better shot at home field advantage than worry about which team would be harder to beat since we don't even know which one we'd be playing against.

I agree. Could have stashed one of our special teams guys on the practice squad and no one would have poached them. Hodgins was clearly getting claimed and now we're searching for WR production not named Diggs.

I don't know about "so much better" but I hope you're right about the outcome! Tua has the best passer rating in the NFL regardless of what anyone thinks about his abilities and Hill/Waddle are both game changers. If Purdy can manage the game with no turnovers I think the 49ers still win.
