  1. I mentioned this deep in some thread but FinHaven closed their politics board recently. With The Departure, things have gotten more civil here but another unhealthy echo chamber of intolerance could easily form if we let it. Or PPP could just be shut down without much change in TBD. Here’s the FinHaven message. *** Dear members, We would like to address the recent change to the terms of service in regards to politics on Finheaven. Due to the Political and War Forum causing rifts among our membership we have decided shut down the PoFo and we are no longer allowing political content on the site. This is now included in the Terms of Service. This means you are not allowed to post politcal comments, opinions or pictures on the site at all. If you do post any politcal content on the site you will receive a PM reminding you that this type of content is not allowed and your content will be deleted. If you continue to post politcal content after the initial warning it will result in receiving infraction points that could lead to being banned from the site. So let's keep the site focused on Dolphins football and the other forums focused on their topics. We have forums for college sports, other sports and the off topic stuff in the Lounge if you feel like you need a break from talking about the Dolphins. Thank you, -Finheaven staff-
  2. What a terrible idea. Don’t want to pay it back? Don’t take out the loan. https://www.nytimes.com/2020/12/10/us/politics/biden-student-loans.html?action=click&module=Top Stories&pgtype=Homepage
  3. My wife's medical system says they anticipate their first shipment on Monday and will start administering them immediately.
  4. Uhh dude, he's The Prophet who went off and formed his own Parler. I'd say his desire to make up his own reality is his life's driving force. Have you ever seen anyone who spends more time posting on a football board?
  5. The Surpreme Court will probably just not hear the case but if they do, I look forward to the 9-0 scathing drubbing and only wish Scalia was alive to write it.
  6. The funny thing is that here or there, if you lost, you'd honor the bet I suspect, and put up an "I believe in Q" or whatever he wanted for 30 days. It would be funny, everyone would and should laugh, and who cares. But he's just not a guy with any honor.
  7. PA's response...good they picked up on the stupid one-in-a-quadrillion claim. Hard to believe the Texas AG quoted that "expert" with a straight face. Ignoring that the mail in ballots were cast by a different set of voters than the in-person ones seems like a pretty basic assumption to overlook. Excerpt: PRELIMINARY STATEMENT Since Election Day, State and Federal courts throughout the country have been flooded with frivolous lawsuits aimed at disenfranchising large swaths of voters and undermining the legitimacy of the election. The State of Texas has now added its voice to the cacophony of bogus claims. Texas seeks to invalidate elections in four states for yielding results with which it disagrees. Its request for this Court to exercise its original jurisdiction and then anoint Texas’s preferred candidate for President is legally indefensible and is an afront to principles of constitutional democracy. What Texas is doing in this proceeding is to ask this Court to reconsider a mass of baseless claims about problems with the election that have already been considered, and rejected, by this Court and other courts. It attempts to exploit this Court’s sparingly used original jurisdiction to relitigate those matters. But Texas obviously lacks standing to bring such claims, which, in any event, are barred by laches, and are moot, meritless, and dangerous. Texas has not suffered harm simply be- cause it dislikes the result of the election, and nothing in the text, history, or structure of the Constitution supports Texas’s view that it can dictate the manner in which four other states run their elections. Nor is that view grounded in any precedent from this Court. Texas does not seek to have the Court interpret the Constitution, so much as disregard it. The cascading series of compounding defects in Texas’s filings is only underscored by the surreal alternate reality that those filings attempt to construct. That alternate reality includes an absurd statistical analysis positing that the probability of President-Elect Biden winning the election was “one in a quadrillion.” Bill of Complaint at 6. Texas’s effort to get this Court to pick the next President has no basis in law or fact. The Court should not abide this seditious abuse of the judicial process, and should send a clear and unmistakable signal that such abuse must never be replicated.
  8. I got accused of this too. It's a badge of honor to be wrongfully accused. Everyone who attacks The Prophet is an infidel. SDS banned a bunch of people at the same time. DR was the one The Departed cared about.
  9. The problem is that as I stated elsewhere, if you believe what Lehnard believes (like you I at least credit him with not entirely retreating to the echo chamber), that a massive fraud took place, then the people in on the cover-up, besides all the people who switched votes or voted illegally include in the cover-up, includes the Republican Supreme Court Justices, the Republican legislature of PA, several Republican federal judges including Trump appointees who have reviewed the best "evidence" presented so far, 4 Republican governors, and the list goes on. You can choose to believe that all those people and many thousands of others are in on the biggest conspiracy of all time or Trump lost. Occam's Razor suggests an answer.
  10. You can only repeat this so many times. Lehnard won't hear it.
  11. I don’t see it as indicative of a party problem. He’s just a guy without enough honor to even honor a silly message board bet. A spineless show of “character.” Jim offered the bet. I don’t think the other guy accepted. That one is just funny.
  12. It’s all baseless. Just like Dems not admitting the chasms in Russiagate accusations.
  13. Taking the other side on stupid conspiracies is no way to go through life son.
  14. By now the vaunted legal team must have some great evidence and has piled up some big wins eh? Is Exhibit 17 still the best they've got?
  15. Bwahahahahahaha. There's a word for that and probably has some non-PC origin. The word is Welcher. He made a silly bet and lost. It wasn't a 30 page contract with exculpating provisos. What an embarrassing human.
  16. How are the election bets going? Anyone paying up? @transplantbillsfan has been saying that DR has no honor on his bet but maybe he's come around. The books coming from the inside about "ex-President" Trump are going to be fun. I expect their summary will be, "He was totally crazy and my daily job was to save America."
  17. People are lying in not doing all they could to stop the spread for sure. Being apart is not human. CA with its giant population and big cities has done incredibly well.
  18. Brutal numbers. New deaths milestone. Nothing optimistic to pull from these numbers at all but I’m sure that the Alex Berenson cultists are sticking by his prediction that this thing will bottom out in September and T-cell immunity will result in herd immunity before the vaccine.
  19. You meant the Trump plan where he never wears a mask and holds maskless events and didn't buy up enough vaccines for Americans...from American companies? That plan? Sounds like a winner.
  20. Yeah it is. There’s a time to save a few million. Global pandemic is not that time. worst case the money advances science. Likely case the money buys too much vaccine and you sell or donate the excess. It was dumb and it will delay our recovery.
  21. Maybe this is why Trump didn't buy more doses of it.
  22. Where our president's mind is. She's part of a problem.
